Saturday night I booked my golf in for a valuation at 1.40pm Sunday.. Sunday I went to the garage and arrived at 1pm only to find myself standing at the unintended welcome desk for 25 minutes.. Not one person ask stopped and ask if I needed assistance. Next I decided I will try ringing your garage while I'm there to see if I get anyone's attention. I wasn't sure which department to call so rung sales then through to used car sales.. I spoke to a gentleman who told me it was a young lady who takes the appointments and she suddenly became I'll and had gone home. He ask if I received a email or call about it which I hadn't.. After that little chat he said he would send someone round to the front desk to look over my car straight away.. That someone never showed either but fortunately a lady stopped and helped me out.. When I mentioned what had gone off trying to get the car looked at she told me it was a male who evaluates the cars after I was told earlier it was a lady who went home sick.. On the website it sounded so easy to sell my car to Evans Halshaw but in reality it's been a joke.. 48 hrs later and still no quote and none the wiser.. I would strongly advise when selling your car to usr we buy any car or sell it privately, probably quicker as well..

Total chaos, even though we had a pre confirmed a test drive, the car wasnt ready. Had to wait 2 hours before the car was ready. Cars everywhere no space to park. The salesman wasnt interested and didnt seem to bother not even interested in making a deal. Car had scuff marks, sratches and a large dent on the bonnet. They didnt want to fix it. Woudlnt be going their again. Waste of time , avoid at all costs.

Shockingly poor service. Wouldn't have given them a single star if I could. Car advertised for £5280 so decided to drive the 70 miles to get there the following day to be told it had been revalued at near £750 more. Complete waste of a journey, fuel and time. Now being fobbed off by their customer service manager. Avoid at all costs Ps. Don't reply and ask me to ring the branch and resolve. I am writing this after having done so and am still no closer to a resolution

Lucky the lowest I can rate this place is 1 star , it deserves non at all I've had two cars from this dealer spent thousands of pounds with them and still just kicked to the kurb aftercare non at all sold me a 10 thousand pound car first week I had to spend 800 pound to make it how it should of been, Kevin the manager dodged any kind of responsibility and they even tricked me into buying a 450 pound warranty that covers absolutely nothing the car even needed window wipers and a tyre .. shocking they don't deserve any custom at all , refused to help me so I sorted It all myself ,if I had time from my business I would of took it further , I've even gone to the extreme measures of taking all evans halshaw branding off my car even changed number plates as I am that ashamed of this place , avoid at all costs I would not right a review of this length for no reason. please people just go down the street to bmw or Ford anything but these cowboys they left me seriously out of pocket it's daylight robbery ... I was close to driving the car through the showroom and throwing the keys at them absolute theifs have no care for customers take my word for it.

Pathetic service by uninterested and unprofessional staff. I booked car view and test drive on a vehicle. On arrival no reception staff at all, it's Saturday. People usually reserve weekend for shopping. After standing at reception and getting no response I approached a member of staff and informed about purpose of my visit. Without a welcome smile and an eye contact he pointed out that the car is out there, go & have a look. Mind you there are tens of cars ( not surprisingly huge stock of unsold ones) out there and where to find it out there! The member of staff told me that the battery is flat. I explained I had phoned in the morning and booked an appointment in afternoon for test drive. This guy could not find it in his system any details about my contact. Unwillingly he accompanied me out to show where the car was, squeezed between two other cars and anyone to get into vehike I asked I would like to view its interior. Meantime I phoned back to their main number listed on autotrader, spoke to their call centre to find out what had happened to my earlier contact. Surprisingly another guy in showroom was able to trace it on system, the first sales man had failed to do so. I was informed that whenever customer makes a contact about test drive an email is sent to the sales team who will subsequently arrange a test drive. Apparently they did not receive an email. No apologies offered. I told them I wanted to make a formal complaint about wasting my time and money. Another sales man phoned call centre and informed me that the issue had been picked up at their call centre and the lady who took my call had been reprimanded. More issues happened and took place with another customer who had actually booked same car for test drive by speaking directly to the member of sales team 4 days earlie, the salesman had not made car ready for him either, it was a car with flat battery, could not be jump started, it's an hybrid! It was my first and last experience with Evans Halshaw. You have a very poor customer service. They need training about communication skills and actually how to do a job! Don't go there. It's a mere waste of your valuable time.

This was to help my son purchase a new car and i new were it was .they was very good to him as my daughter myself now my son all Drive Vauxhall cars they went 100 miles to get my sons a 1 year old corsa VXR with low milige but my daughter and mine are new models.

Complete scammers. Bought a car for a very nice price and was also offered a very profitable offer. 2 MOT + 2 services for just about £300. Also a year warranty for £200. When I came to first service, after service was completed, they told me I have a lot problems with a car (that I bought just a few month ago from them) and to fix that it will cost me around £2200. When I told them that I have a warranty with them, they say that nothing on the list is covered by that; however, during selling a car, they promised that whatever will happen will get resolved without any issues. Needless to say I told them to freak off and got my car to my local branded and respectable garage. There, they said I have only one problem with the car, that was not even highlighted in evans halshaw. Fixed everything for only £200 and drove for another 3 years without any major maintenance. Scammers.

A few bad reviews on here, but my experiences have been fine, purchased a new car from them a few years ago, recently came back to view a used car (yes, small delay in getting to actual test drive and figures - lost one star for this, would of liked to be a bit quicker), but only dealt with one salesman, no pressure to buy, offered me a fair trade part ex value for car i bought from them a few years ago, sadly they couldn't move on the screen price so didn't make a purchase this time.

Bad information from pushy sales staff. Poor service trying to get through on the phone. Spent money i didnt need to spend due to their poor advice. Complained about the service but after acknowledging the complaint they ignored me despite multiple requests for updates. Once they have your money they dont care. Poor. Wish i could give 0 stars. Bought a faulty Jaguar XF from here a month ago been having so many problems with it, just found out it’s previously been in an accident too as the bonnet’s not lined up and it’s not shutting properly, tried contacting the staff they always come up with excuses and put me on hold it’s been around 2 weeks not been using the car at all. Will be reporting this issue to trading standards. NEVER buy a used car from here!

Wish I could give less. Sat for a hour with the supposed best sales man pushy arrogant ****. To take a test drive out and be called back 2 minutes later as the car had a deposit on it. To then be told that the Chilwell depot had no close alternatives available. We went to Chilwell and found a better option. Oh dear

As always whenever we go we get greeted with the same welcoming friendly service from each and every staff member. We came looking to tade in my two car's for two new cars. I dealt with Joshua Skilton and Allan Proir, they are extremely professional and honest with us. The amount of time and effort that was put into helping us to find our dream car was phenomenal, we came out with even better cars than we thought we would be able to buy. Nothing was a problem for them to do, every bit of information was clearly explained and every question answered. Even down to the aftercare, i would highly recommend this branch of Evans Halshaw purely of the level of service that you get from every member of staff, when the time comes to get a new car we will certainly be coming back.

I gave £200 deposit on a car when i tryed to pay the full amount on the Saturday 6 days after the deposit was payed i was told they didn't know where the car was i asked for the deposit back they told me it would take two or three days i gave them a week then rang them i had to go to see them it took 3 weeks before they returned my deposit i Will never use them again they also undervalued my car don't waste your time with them IT'S Evans halshaw Vauxhall nottingham

Had a car from here january 2017 paid for in full, seemed professional at first. Been waiting ever since for our service history book which a replacement was allegedly ordered. Not having this will effect my future retail sale of the car. Emailed ever two weeks asking the same question about missing item. I think once they have had my money they dont care, its hard to find a decent car dealer that you can recommend and use again. Customer care : NOTHING STILL HASN'T HAPPENED, NO ONE PHONED ME BACK, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE, ONCE YOU TOOK MY MONEY YOU DON'T GIVE A TOSS. BUYERS BEWARE

The worst customer service I have ever known. To get the sale say everything you want like staying until 8pm to take the car away as unable to come during the day due to work commitments and they won’t release car on a weekend even though we will be coming from almost 2 hours away. And on top they are rude have no customer service skills. Do not know what they are doing, you should simply before a customers arrives to pick up the vehicle tell them what they need. Aidan McCarthy the sales person was useless and did now know what he was doing, very unprofessional from the beginning. Even when we came to see the car at the beginning we had an appointment between 2-3pm and we were waiting for over an hour and everytime you asked someone they didn’t know what was going on. I have purchased vehicles directly from Volkswagen and Audi and never have I experienced such bad customer service and unprofessionalism as I have done with this company. Would not recommend them to anyone. You spend so much money on a car the least you expect is good customer service.

Ashley Ford was the sales man I wandered over to on the off chance of just testing the water. And ended up with a 3 year old corsa with 9000 on the clock. Very helpful and with the worry and unfounded concerns the service department were really helpful and seemingly happy to help my crazy concerns. At this present moment in time I'm very happy. And I would recommend them, unlike the last main dealer I unfortunately purchased a car from. ????

Absolutely appalling service at this garage. Went in for brakes and pads to be changed. Took them off to tell me a spring has gone and no one has the part and the car has to stay there. I am 38 weeks pregnant and live in Leicester. They gave us no help on how to get home. They assured us it'd be ready on Saturday to which I got a phone call when I was on my way to Nottingham on Saturday to say it won't be done until Tuesday. The part was coming from Germany. Phones them Monday to check what time it'd be ready to say it won't be done until Friday!! And even that is no guarantee. Don't use this dealer at any cost.

It is the first occasion I have had any experience with this Vauxhall dealership. I ordered a part late yesterday afternoon (processed by a Mr. Niranjan) for my 'Tigra', which arrived first thing this morning. I received a call and went to collect it. The staff/team most certainly work together in an exceptionally good humoured manner, and were beyond helpful.The part was fitted almost immediately, whilst my husband and I were also offered a drink. The staff are to be highly commended, as is their expertise. I have never observed such willingness, cheerfulness and such a positive attitude within the car industry. Nothing was too much trouble from the gentleman who took the order to the Manager Mr. Nicholas Waite, Tom, the mechanic (whose name I sadly do not know) and all the rest of the team, a huge thank you for helping me out - so successfully, willingly and efficiently. Would genuinely highly recommend, thank you.
