My first time dealing with new car purchase through motability Gemma Dyer, our Motability specialist was absolutely fantastic she was extremely helpful and was very very polite, it gave us a very pleasurable experience and i would recommend anybody getting a motability car to go through vauxhall nottingham branch as you would have gemma as your motability specialist she gets a 10/10 from me and my partner and we are actually looking forward to the next time we have to go, we both have our fingers crossed that we get gemma again Overall the experience from the showroom was also great! its such a nice place to be as they let you have tea/coffee whilst waiting to be seen and all cars on display are just so nice and have an open feel as you can literally get in each car see how it feels before making a concious decision on which car you want. - JH and ES

This was my first time coming to a dealership, on the day i went to two or three other dealers looking for the right car, none of them compared to the customer service i recieved from ash at evans halshaw, vauxhall in nottingham. he came and looked after me right from the begining making it a plesurable and enjoyable experiance and i have walked away now with a fantastic deal and a smile on my face..... if your thinking of buying a car in nottingham come find ash at this dealership :D!

Pendragon all over. Promise the earth and fail to deliver. I have had nothing but problems with Evans Halshaw and Quicks. Really dispair and give up.

Dont Bother with garage warranties they are are worthless very keen to take your money but beware if you breakdown under their 3 month warranty its not worth a jot !! Diagnostics and transport if you breakdown are not covered by the warranty so get your wallet out again and only 100.00 worth of work is covered not enough to buy a good battery thats also not covered. They are very slow to tell you these thing but if you take an extended warranty these are limited also so be very careful !! service plans also sold !!! but if they are unable to diagnose a fault with your car what makes them worth being able to service your car a worthy question you should ask yourself before committing your hard earned cash !! Be warned very slippery after service !!! Since had the car made good at a Peugeot dealers in reading excellent servce and customer liason thankyou sooo much Charters of reading !! up uours evans !!

My son in law required a car on Motability so we hunted around and settled on a Vauxhall Astra, because he was able to get into it from his wheelchair. The order was placed for a 1.6 petrol Astra on the 12th December 2012 with an expected delivery date of 6th March. The only time the dealer called me without being prompted was on 25th Feb to advice the due date was being moved forward and the car would be ready for collection on the 1st March. 1st March rolls around and my partner, son in law (who was kept off college specially to collect the car) and myself visit the dealership. Dealer tells us on arriving that there was "an issue with the car that was ordered, its ECU failed testing and would need to be replaced under warranty which would take 2 weeks to do". He then gave some good news, "However you can take this Astra here which is identical to the one you ordered, except its Black rather than Silver Lake, oh and its a diesel" We said no and that we would wait for the broken part to be replaced. Dealer assures us he will call within the hour to confirm ECU is on order after Vauxhall authorize the warranty replacement request. 2 days later I call the dealer and am assured they will ring back later that day. The next day still no phone call so I bypass the dealer and go direct to Motability. Motability assure me the dealer will ring within the hour. 3 hours later the manager of the dealership rings. The warranty replacement he says is still not authorised by Vauxhall. He then asks to confirm the Car ordered was a 2l diesel. I tell him no it is a 1.6 petrol not diesel. The manager tries to tell me I'm wrong and that the car ordered was a diesel. Finally he agrees to order a new car this time as a 1.6 petrol. After all of this hassle I spoke to my partner and son in law, both agreed that we would not like to deal with this company over 3 years of servicing and potentially having to deal with them for warranty issues. We confirmed with Motability that we was okay to cancel the order at such a late stage, they agreed and we have today placed an order at Pentagon Vauxhall. It's not quite a review and more of a snap-shot of one situation at one dealership. Hopefully it may be of use to someone when considered against all the other feedback that others have left here.

Salesman was more interested in watching the England march than me looking at a car, made my excuses and left and bought a different car from a dealer down the road

I have had a terrible experience here I've bought a car last year and had several problems with it. My car has two years warranty and every time I try to make a claim I am charged a £50 diagnostic fee which then is wavered after arguing with several sales people. Very crafty company I would think twice again about buying from Evans Halshaw. As I broke my car for £9000 and After it falling to pecices has a value of £3500 very disappointing
