The car buying experience was a smooth one but when had a problem few days after purchase they didn't bother to help ..Although they claim all Evans shops offer same service when we go to a different shop they always says we should go to the shop where we bought the car to get better sevice..really disappointed...lots of realities hidden during the sales conversation...

Main dealers always seem to get a bad press for ripping off customers but to be honest I've taken my humble Astra here for service for the late 5 years and never had any additional costs. They did used to try to upsell stuff like engine flush bit that seems to have stopped. They do tend to cold call quite a lot but call blocking is a great smartphone feature.

NEVER EVER EVER use this garage. I've been let down twice. 1st time I moved to another Evans Halshaw branch nearby. I had a service plan so had to use this franchise. They then closed my branch so had to go back to this one - low and behold, let down again, and even though the mistake is theirs, again they have failed to rectify it.

Seriously unimpressed. We had a pre- booked appointment for 3.00pm on 2nd December. We were left waiting for half an hour with occasional half hearted apologies and told someone would be with us soon. Then at 3.30 told someone would be free in a few minutes. At 3.40 we were told someone would possibly be free in 30 minutes. We have taken our business elsewhere and definitely will not be returning to this dealership.

After a lengthy look around many car dealerships and being really frustrated at the level of pushiness from forecourt sales staff I ended up going to visit the Evans Halshaw Nottingham branch, and I am so glad we did. I bought my lovely new Vauxhall Corsa from a lovely sales lady called Jennifer McDaid. I was warmly greeted by Jennifer, she was very approachable and welcoming, She was easy to talk to and so patient with us, and wasn't pushy what so ever. I was particularly impressed that she had addressed us "my partner and I" with "Good morning Lady's" so many sales staff these days use the tern " hi Guys" one of my pet hates, I felt she genuinely listened to my needs and advised me where necessary. The whole experience buying my new car here was a pleasure from start to finish. I will defiantly recommended my family and friends to use Evans Halshaw, and i commend Jennifer for her professionalism.

I have received bad service since buying my car with delays and things not available when promised otherwise. I took a service plan so as guarantee maindealer service history but after today I will cancel my plan as I will take my business to another network. I came in for a puncture and tyre inspection but nearly 6 hours later I am still here. Fitted a tyre of a brand different from all the others and not the one that I asked for. God help Evans Halshaw customers!!!

I recently bought a car from your branch, & was given truly excellent service. My salesman was D'angelo & he absolutely outdid himself in terms of the service I was expecting. He helped me decide exactly what my needs were and therefore what cars to look at. He then spent his time searching for the right models that suited my specific criteria, and delivered on exactly what I wanted. Have had the car for 1.5 years now and have never loved a motor more. The service team when I visited were excellent too. Must say that I am so impressed with the knowledge of everyone at the branch, but especially D'Angelo, who really did go above and beyond in sourcing me the right motor and still following up his incredible service even after my purchase.

Would not buy a car from this dealership again!! Sold me a car which now has faults on the tyre value which they said they addressed when I collected it but they did not pick up that there was a faulty leaking value on the tyre so I drove the car away and have since had to spend £60 approx getting this sorted out by a Renault Garage locally! Battery was also on its way out when they sold it to me and they said that it was just a bit flat because the car had been on the forecourt for a few weeks but last week had to pay £150 for a new battery because AA said that the battery had virtually no life in it at all! They talk a good story about what they are going to check for you before you collect the car and what they will address but in reality they do not check or address faults prior to collection. Very keen to sell you all these extra add on warranties but then it is a nightmare trying to get the car booked in for any kind of warranty issue. In the end I went to a local garage to save myself all the time, hassle and money on fuel. Not a good experience at all for me I am afraid.........

Typical sales practices From the start of my involvement with the sales room it was like scenes from an 80's sitcom. At one point I decided I wasn't going to purchase and the Manager appeared from nowhere (via secret email) to find out why. They then offered me some paint protection thing. I wouldn't buy from these again as they car began to make noises just before the warranty expired. I asked them to have a look and they obviously didn't find anything wrong and they one thing they did remedy lasted only 48 hours. I can see why internet sales are preferable and I will be doing just that next time. A costly mistake by me not to be repeated.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Staff are consistently rude and unhelpful. The ONLY time they're interested is if you're there to wave money under their noses - if you've already bought a car they're not interested, if you want some information about their stock for a potential purchase even that's not good enough. Do any amount of research on this place and you'll find that they're notorious in Notts for terrible after-sales care, leaving customers in the lurch and refusing to fulfil their obligations on cars they've sold. They're so bad and so rude that after visiting them in person they completely put me off buying a Vauxhall from anywhere just on the off chance that I ever had to go there or deal with them ever again. I've never been treated as a customer as poorly as at this place. Avoid it like the plague.

Sorry to say a totally bad experience dealing with Evan Halshaw Nottingham. 24th December 2016 we found a car in their website paid £200.00 to have it shipped to the Nottingham branch. Went to view the vehicle 2nd January 2018 (Christmas period delayed things). We liked the car and went on a test drive, the engine management light was on which surprised me because it had been "Prepared to the Highest Standards" and underwent a 109 point check. Being assured that the fault would be rectified we decided to buy the car, It took them over a week to get it fixed mainly because the vehicle was still under Ford warranty and had to be fixed by a Ford garage. Arrangements were made to collect the car 3.00 pm 11th January, phone call to say not ready! Went to pick it up the next day 3.00 pm Friday 12th January. Arrived at the dealership only to find the bonnet had been damaged and required re-spraying. I cancelled the sale walked down the road to the Ford store (Sandicliffe) and purchased newer vehicle with better spec for slightly more cash. The sales man at EH did his best and couldn't apologise enough. The whole experience was a nightmare from start to finish. in my opinion not a professional organisation, extremely poor customer service. Light years behind Sandicliffe.

Sales - brilliant - as others have commented, D'angelo is a lovely person to deal with. Servicing - absolutely useless. They appear to be unable to check when my car will be ready, they are rude, uninterested and ignorant. I wish I hadn't bought service package with the car - far better going elsewhere.

Excellent customer service!! The sales team have looked after me both in 2013 with selling me a used Corsa and 2015 with a new Corsa. Dan helped me find the perfect used car that suited my requirements and stayed late to ensure the deal had gone through. After finding out I was expecting, I required a 5 dr car. With experiencing great care from my first visit, I decided to return to the dealership. Where Matt from the Sales team found me the perfect car I needed and as before – took great care of me and always responded quickly to any queries I had when my car was going through the production line. Everything had a personal touch. When visiting the Team, I always feel I'm being looked after. Like a little family.

Rude, uninterested staff with poor manners who only gave half the info when we visited the Nottingham Evans Halshaw with our pre booked service with loan car. Made you signed the documents 1st then pointed out the loan car luckily we have seen the damaged to the car. When I pointed this out sales advisor said "oh I missed it". well don't make Customers sign the documents before they check the car. Even customer service Manager told us sign is for insurance purpose only, when it clearly says condition of vehicle. Not coming back here again!!

These dont even deserve one star!! They were fabulous in 2013 when i paid for my new astra outright in cash but as soon as i was back with problems they didnt care. I took my car in for one small problem last month and got a call to say that the car is not fit to drive and the cost for repair is £800 so i agreed to have the work done presuming my car would be in perfect condition after..... well, i picked the car up and drove it home only to find that smoke was coming from my bonnet so i took it back in the next day with my 3 children all under 4. I was left waiting for 1.5 hours with my baby having to sit in his dirty nappy for the whole time as they dont have any changing facilities. There was no sorry and i was looked at like i was crazy for complaining! Then finally when my car was ready i drove it home to then find the engine light on which if that isnt bad enough, every time i put my break on the accelerator revs like crazy! Then a day later as i am driving, i stop at some traffic lights and my car shakes and cuts out. Then a day or so after that my gears are so stiff that if i was elderly theres no way id be able to change gear! I want a refund and compensation!!! I have been unable to go to work for a month now as i work very far away and i am a single mother of 4 children!! I am furious!

I took my car to get fixed due to a problem being highlighted during my annual service. I was originally told they couldn't look at my car for atleast a week. I decided to leave my car with them because I was told if there's a cancellation they could look at my car sooner rather than later. I rang up a few days later for a progress report and was told they've had chance to look at my car and agreed to change the rear shock absorbers. They said the part was order and should arrive the next day. I contacted the evans helshaw Nottingham the following day to see how things had progressed. I was told the parts had arrived and they should fix my car either that day or the next. After three days I received no contact from vauxhall regarding my car. Three days later i contacted vauxhall for an update and told tlagain that the parts was there but had not fixed my car. At this point the parts had been at vauxhall for 4 days. Please do not go to this branch. They are inconsiderate of how much this can disrupte peoples day to day lives.

Having had new cars on the motability scheme for 20 years now with different dealerships, this is the first time I've been offered a test drive in an automatic car. Nothing was too much trouble for Gemma Dyer the motability specialist she gave fantastic service and her knowledge of the scheme is brilliant. In my experience with this dealership I would recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I think some of the staff are ok but will say the majority were ignorant. Theyre ok when you are looking to buy but once done theyre rude. Whilst waiting in reception a group of them were standing chatting and not one came over to see if i needed help whilst standing at the desk! pure ignorance. ???? After abt 10 mins and me speaking loudly someone came over. A couple of things have gone wrong with the car since and i was told if i pay for a tow in i would be reimbersed.. never received it. Theyre all nice while trying to get a sale but no one is interested if you have a complaint or have a problem. I will never recomend vauxhall or evans halshaw to anyone.. considering i paid cash for a 2yr old car which shouldnt go wrong but has and now have a £1,000 bill to have my car repaired. Take my advice. avoid this company. ????????????

Was told my vehicle would have an on board computer, which it didn't. Was then told it was impossible to put one on my model only after 7 phone calls and 3 visits was it miraculously able to be installed. So after thinking everything's sorted I find out that they have signed me up for a service plan which I told them I didn't want TWICE!! It also took them 2 and a half hours to install my on board computer when they told me it'd be 30-40 minutes.

Just got my car back after taking it in for key reprogrammed on Friday at 7.30 am when I dropped the car in. I was told they will ring me when its done. I had to walk a good 20 mins to the bus stop and spent the day in town. it got to 1.30ish the dealers rang to say there is something wrong it needs further investigation. and would cost me £105 Instead of the £85 quoted. I OKed that as I wanted my car doing hence taking it in. they keep it over the weekend as the electrician only works Monday to Friday. which don't help me as I too work shifts and my fiancé works also Monday to Friday. anyway today came (Monday) and I waited for the phone call to tell me my car was done. At 11 ish my phone did go it was my fiancé telling me the car was still sat in the car park. he had seen it as he was out on deliveries. so I rang they to get the classic your car is the next in. when I feel (rightly or wrongly) it should have been first in as it was a roll over job from Friday. it took till 2.55pm to call and say my car still needed this module part and will cost me £437. I said no thank you Im coming to pick it up to be told that it will now cost £132 and they let me off with something, to say I am not happy is an under statement. I will not be taking my car back to Evans Halshaw every again. there is a vauxhall repair centre near to my fiancé's work place. on top of this each time I have gone in Evans Halshaw its like I am in the way and feel they just wished Id not been there. passed for one staff member to another such a horrible dreaded feeling going there. please everyone avoid going there at all cost. when paying for the work not carried out, but a diagnostic test done twice. I did say to the staff member I was not happy and will not be happy to come back and they smiled like i was joking.

My mum part swapped her Renault clio with a family vauxall safira, after having to wait two week for all the work to be done on it she finally drove it away on the Saturday, she pulls off noticed a cloud of black smoke but thought it was due to not being drove and the work recently being done, on the Sunday she lost power whilst driving, and rang on the tues as was a bank holiday weekend. To be told it would he two week before the could get it seen, after several calls she managed to get it seen week after purchase to find out more week needs doing. When she rings they have no anwsers for her cant tell her when it will be done. But yet another whilst going through the sales she was treated like royal.

i have had a motability car for 15 years but the recent change of vehicle was by far the best service i have ever had Gemma Dyer at evans Halshaw was friendly and profeesional and i would recommend anyone to go to see her, i was unsure of what i wanted and Gemma gave me all the information i needed over several cups of coffee until i eventually decided on a Zafira, we are so pleased with our car and will definetely return to Gemma next time we need to renew our car, Thank you Gemma
