Having used a number of different veterinary practices over the years I have found Animal Ark to be the best. The staff are so friendly and professional and I feel they really take an interest in my pets and take the time to get to know them. I also feel I get value for money and everything is explained to me.

This is my first time I've been at this vet and it will also be my last time. My dog had to get his teeth cleaned and the vets said that when my dog will be asleep they will cut his nails . When I picked him up after the surgery and I went home and I noticed that his nails started bleeding. How is it possible that a professional vet could cut an animals nails that short and the thing is that my dog has white nails so the pink part is clearly visible. I understand if a dog could have black nails because then you can't see the pink bit and you can cut it too short by mistake. I called the surgery because I wanted to speak to the vet but the reception told me that the vet didn't have time. Before the payment they talked to me normally but after the payment when I went home with my dog they didn't care about him anymore. I am really disappointed.

I came to this vets as a new kitten owner to get one of my kittens checked out in a half an hour appointment (that cost £30 I believe). I bought another along too just to keep him company as they were inseparable. When we finally got seen the vet insisted on checking both of them in the same session saying that there would be no extra fee. Obviously I agreed. Then during the check up, the vet insisted on giving this medication which he literally forced down my pets throat the second I agreed. There was no communication about any additional costs. At all.
I didn't suspect anything because well, it was my first time at the vets and I didn't know all the hidden charges that would occur. It was only when I was at the receptions desk did I find out that the bill was well over £150.
The vet who insisted on seeing both my kittens charged me for two half an hour sessions even though he spent a grand total of about fifteen minutes all together on both of them when we technically had to pay for an hour. We were made to pay for the medications that we weren't informed of the costs of during the check-up and additional medicine after.
I left feeling very shocked and annoyed.
This is clearly a money making business and the vet I saw didn't really care about caring for my kittens.
I will never use this place again and the Vets4Pets in Ilford is much better in terms of transparency, care and communication

I was extra cautious when choosing a vet for my new puppy, and from the get go when I registered Rae with them, I've had the most positive experience. The receptionists were so welcoming and even called me back that morning after they had a cancellation so I could bring her in for a vet check. Due to Covid, you call upon arrival and then the vet nurse will come to your car to collect your pet. The vet nurse was so lovely and Rae even though more cautious happily went with him without any issues. The vet called me on the phone to go through the consultation and was so thorough and patient with any questions I had especially as Rae is my first pet. She recommended food brands to try, she was so friendly and reassured me that if I had any questions that they were open 24/7. After the vet check and treatment, Rae was returned to me all smiles and wagging tail. I cannot recommend this vets more!! I am so happy I've found my Rae a place where I am sure she's safe and well looked after.

Came in today for an emergency appointment for my parrot. He was in very bad shape and wash eating or drinking. The vets had no problem looking at him, if I remember right the vet’s name was Alex. He gave my little one two injections and provided me with some antibiotics to put in his water. After coming home, he started feeling much better; playing around, eating and drinking as usual. I’m now keeping him separate from my other conure just in case he bullies him over food, and hope to come back again for a follow up. Yes, this practice is on a more pricier side, but I rather give my boy the best and fastest treatment locally.
Will definitely come back again with my other pets, since they do seem to have better prices than my local vets.

I booked my pet to be neutered here, they miss wrote the date and could nit visit my pet on the agreed day and time, after having the poor animal fasting for the whole night. I thought that was just a human error but then on another occasion my pet was feeling poorly so I toke him to Animal Ark Vet where he was miss diagnosed, and put at risk. The staff wouldn't collaborate when my new vet asked for my pet's files. To argue my refund request they lied about every single minute and action that happened during that consultation. All I have to say is that they have NO morals and very little care for pets lives. This is a business and your pet just a number for them. There are fabulous Veterinaries in Goodmayes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUTCHERS

Was worried because our royal python developed respiratory problems. I live in Dagenham and unfortunately found local vets do not treat exotic pets. Animal Ark was recommended to us by a local vet. Wasn’t expecting to get an appointment at such short notice with the lock down but wow within calling and treatment it was only a matter of a few hours. Can’t fault the service and staff were incredibly helpful and polite. ????????????

Today was my first time using this vet. The whole experience was amazing.
After checking in I was asked to wait in the car. A few minutes later I was approached by a friendly gentleman called Aqib who was to take my dog Bruno into the vets. My dog always becomes anxious with strangers and began barking and growling. Aqib was amazing. He genuinely cares about the animals and treated my dog with the love and care he deserved. He understood exactly why my dog was behaving this way and see past the bravado. Rather than backing off and insiting we use a muzzle ( very traumatic experience where my dog scratches so hard to get it off he makes himself bleed) he took him by his lead and lead him in confidently.
The treatment he received was great. My dog has suffered with ongoing ear problems for many years. Today, I was offered a different treatment I have never been offered at any other vets before. He was given a single dose treatment that last for many days. The price was very reasonable too. My dog actually enjoyed coming to the vest today, and so did I. My dog willingly let the vet examine and administer treatment whilst enjoying being stroked. He has never done this in 11 years!

We have bought our cats to the Anomal Ark for the last two years. We can not recommend the practice more highly. The receptionists are pleasant, helpful and prompt. The vets are gentle, knowledgeable and interested. They explain things in a detailed and understandable way giving options which are also explained. We live in Hackney and it’s worth the drive.

I wanted to share my experience with animal ark. I called them asked for the price for spey my cat, a receptionist informed that if, a cat fit and well for surgery the price will be £38.40 as mentioned on the website, but if, the cat is not fit for surgery, I will be charged £23.05 for consultation.
I brought my cat in for spey, I was informed that the price will be between £50-60. When I went to collect my cat, the bill is £105.95, this included a bottle of ear drop, which I am happy to pay the price.
I took my cat to remove suture 10 days later, which I was told that it will be free of charge, because it includes in spey fee. The day of removing suture I also asked vet A to monthly de-worm and de flea my cat. The bill came out £40.75, which they charged me for consultation. I told vet A that I should be charged for only de worm which is £17.70, he said that in that case they would not refund money back to my account, but will give me 1 free de worm. I accepted. Two day later, when scab came out from my cat spey wound, I found still some suture on her wound. I contacted vet A that there is still suture on the wound, he said that it is dissolvable suture(why he did not inform me before), but he asked me to bring my cat back to see him and free of charge.
I did not bring my cat to see vet A, because the cat seem to be ok, the new hair came up to cover the wound and vet A said it is dissolvable suture, I did not worry much. I brought my cat in today for monthly de worm . I did not ask to health check my cat, because she is fit and well and I told the guy who came to pick the cat that, probably a vet cannot check the wound because her hair already cover the wound. Vet S asked me to pay for consultation today, I insisted not to pay and ask him to speak to vet A who knew the whole story(this is lack of communication among their staff). Vet S called me back and said you are right without any apology which is ok for me.
The point which brought me to write this whole story is, when the guy brought my cat back to me, he gave me de worm medication and told me to apply medication by myself.
You owe me £23.05 consultation fee which you overcharged me and you said you will pay me back with 1free monthly de worm which is £17.70. I accepted that, but you gave me medication to apply by myself. I found this is very disgusting. I did not ask to buy medication. I drove from Walthamstow to Goodmate and caused my cat stress just to get medication to do it by myself??? The guy who brought the cat back said that will charge me only £15 (cannot remember the penny) and he said that animal ark in credit wit me £7. Animal ark can keep my £7, I don’t think I want to go back to you anymore.
Actually, I was thinking of writing positive review before today incident.
Anyway, all the receptionist who answer the phone is very nice, friendly and professional.

Took my puppy for a health check right after we got her from the breeder. Animal ark didn’t let us in while they were doing the health check, vet called us on the phone instead of speaking to us in person and ok I get it due to covid there have to be taken measures. However I was told by the animal ark vet that everything is perfectly fine and that there’s nothing to worry about only to find out a week later from a different vet practice that both bottom canine teeth of my puppy are not in the right place causing a hole on the top palate as one of the teeth digs inside everytime she closes her mouth. Speaking over the phone to the animal ark vet on that very first visit I asked a question about the colour of the puppy’s gum and tongue only to be told that they checked and everything is fine. So my question is how can a vet who cares about the dogs he examines missed something like this especially if the whole purpose of that visit was to carry a full health check? Did you actually do a health check or did you just took my puppy for a walk and returned her after 20min? The visit to the second vet practice was because animal ark couldn’t do the vaccines that our puppy started with and had to find someone who could do that specific brand of vaccines. To me personally a vet who’s only job was to do a vaccination and does a check and identifies a major issue (that needs surgery) like this is a very good vet and a vet that I now trust and will keep going to. On the other hand a vet who’s job was to carry a health check and doesn’t even see issues like this is definitely a vet that I would never trust and wouldn’t encourage anyone to visit.

I could not recommend Animal Ark enough.
I called them in the morning and spoken to lovely receptionist, she listened to all my concerns regarding my pups, asked more questions about my pups in 10 min then my previous vet in the past 2 weeks, and promised me that someone would call me back by the end of the day. Within an hour i received a call back from the nurse and my appointment was booked for the same day (there was no additional charge for the same day appointment) My appointment was on time, and our vet, Lionel, took his time to explain to me the condition my pups are suffering from, he answered all our questions and i didn't feel rushed at all even though the place was obviously busy at the time of my visit. The appointment was very informative and even though prognosis might not be the best, finally we know what we are fighting against. My only regret is not going to Animal Ark straigh after my pups were born, it would saved them a lot of suffering. If you are looking for caring, loving and compassionate vet practice, please look no further...Animal Ark is your place! Thank you!

Very impressed. I needed to take Blackie, one of my cats, to the vet as she had started to lose her rear leg balance intermittently. I hadn’t been to The Ark for some years but decided to call them as my two more local vet branches were not picking up and I knew that The Ark had full 24 hour service and on site hospital and services.
The Ark was fully booked but booked me in as an urgent. Fully masked they collected Blackie from me outside and under 15 minutes later the vet, Monica, called me to go through thoughts and options for Blackie, thoroughly going through the possibles and we agreed on an initial plan of action for her.
As a telephone consultation I thought it might feel rushed and inadequate but I felt very reassured, I didn’t feel rushed in to a decision and it was very thorough with choices on a treatment plan.
I haven’t left my house in many months due to Covid as I’m frankly terrified but my 4 cats are my family and if I need the vets for them, I go but I was nervous. I needn’t have been.
I was impressed and will be going to The Ark in future. I have had good service elsewhere but unlike The Ark, they don’t have many local onsite facilities and I need to travel half an hour away in a cab for specialist, urgent or emergency care.
Very impressed with The Ark.

Been going there for years. With my dogs always registered with them. Most expensive vets in the area. I should have leave long time ago. Over the phone I tried to get booked for ravies vaccination like I did for my other dog the girl wants to charge 25£ consultation fees. They are kinda of trying always to charge u no matter what. I paid 250£ for my first dog for passport and ravies and other things. Went to a different place everything done for 120£. So dissapointed I didnt look arround before for different vets. And I was trusting them.

Very un professional very rude not clued up they pick and choose there clients to pay and give later payments they dont ask the owners permission beforehand and then over charge the customers cctv is proof phone call recordings are proof and one of there clients are my tenants were they all go for there afternoon coffee and they told me aswell they let her pay on a later date just cause they serve there vet staffs coffee..
I would want the vet docs full details & you'll receive a letter from my solicitors for not getting owners consent and for forcing us to pay the full fee and 3 different staffs giving three different quotation prices.. you are cheating people..

If this happens one more time for 3rd time you guys wont be lucky I will sue ur company and staff separately one by one if you are once again being threatening for payment for ur own greed and mistake and not for asking for owners permission and consent beforehand and blantely not telling the truth and being honest with all your clients with every appointments..

My experience of this practice has been excellent, over a number of years, during the long term care of my dog. All of the staff, are very professional, and have also been particularly caring and kind, not only to my much loved dog, but to me, especially when things were particularly emotionally difficult, and when my dog eventually had to be put to sleep. I cannot fault the care my beautiful boy received, particularly from Kurran our vet. I would highly recommend this wonderful family of professionals.

One of the most stressful experiences I've ever endured.
I was a long time customer of this vet until recently, and have had only good experiences prior to this.
This was until I took a stray cat in for neutering, they refused to accept the cats protection cover for neutering, refused to accept the RSPCA cover for treatment, so I said I would be willing to pay for his treatment myself.
They then misread that the stray had a microchip, threatened me with a 2 week hospitalisation bill whilst they attempted to find the owners through the microchip company - even though cat was not chipped in the first place, and would not allow me to collect the animal.
I had to request the help of Cat's Protection to collect the animal and they could not have been more helpful, I didn't go to them initially for help as they are overwhelmed due to the current pandemic but once they heard of the threat of the 2 week bill, they pulled out all the stops to assist.
The communication was awful and I was actually lied to by Lionel, one of their vets, which was confirmed by a receptionist.
The practice seems to have grown in size and I wonder if they have sacrificed the warm care they were known for, in exchange for a more lucrative business.
I would not recommend or return, particularly as their vets feel it is acceptable to lie to their clients.

We have switched to this vet from Goddard's and my only regret is not having done so sooner. They are very good with excellent customer care towards humans and animals alike.
Our dog actually gets excited when we drive to Animal Ark's where as previously he would hate the vet.
The prices are much more reasonable and I feel like I am given the information I need in order to make a decision about my dog's treatment.

Witnessed a hit and run on a poor moggy, took to the vets nearest who were very quick to respond to a late night out of hours call. Unfortunately the cat didn’t make it, they were able to make the cat comfortable and the owners were able to say their goodbyes and the staff were sympathetic and caring.
