Well now what can I say about this vet..
Not much to be honest apart from they are proper junk..
Na I'm only kidding, they are great. The reception staff are really friendly, helpful, upbeat, like to have a laugh and are 'super' cool. Nothing like any vet i have been too. Just the atmosphere from the reception staff would keep me going back (they know who they are) and you may arrive in a mood but will leave with a smile after having a chat with these lot. The vets and nursing staff are also fantastic, they know their stuff when it comes to animals and try/do everything they can to help.
I first came across Animal Ark when my Lizard broke his leg and had to get an Emergency Appointment and wow! They help they provided was great! It is a bit of a travel but I wouldn't go anywhere else to get treatment or check ups on any off my animals.
Trust me when I say, get your animals booked in to Animal Ark, even for a check up or just to meet the staff and you'll agree with me!
Ps. They're good prices too as I found out with the Lizard bills.

I should written this review the day the Animal Ark opened its doors as its deserves a great review from that first day.
Going to the vet is never a pleasant experience but on the occasions I have been to the Ark (been a fair few as between me and my family we had around 8 cats!) they truly are the most amazing establishment - the vets and nurses are truly fantastic but this review is based on the staff at reception as they really do deserve a mention. The minute you walk through the front doors you are greeted by the face of the ark - the hard working and caring staff at receptions (Debbie, Elle, Sabrina, Vicki, Simone, Hannah) who greet you with warmth and a smile. They don't keep you waiting and take an interest in you and your pet and make that initial step so so much easier. I have lost count how many times we have been to the vet and at times quite upset but these ladies try their best to make you feel better. Booking an appointment via telephone again is stress free because of the efficiency of these ladies - they ensure that you get the time that you want and will try their best to accommodate you. Over the last few days our cat has been at the Ark and I have call for regular updates and no matter how busy these ladies are they will take the time to speak to you and get you an update on your pet (they are never annoyed with you calling for updates and every time they update you in a timely manner and are familiar with the pets that are not well) - its made the last few days a bit easier for us and we are so appreciate and thankful for this. There has been times when I have needed advice over the telephone or had to get a message to the vet and they ensure this is passed on and at the same time they will communicate back to me with the necessary feedback regardless how busy they are (the phone is always ringing, people in and out). Over the last few days we have been in and out of the vets and have been very helpful assisting us each time and as always been very helpful with regards to the completion of the insurance form (which at times can be onerous). One of my sisters lives all the way in Orpington in Kent but she still brings her cat to the Ark and would never think twice of going elsewhere - her reason is simply "the staff and service"
To end this review I just want to say that these ladies (as well as everyone else) are very special and have really helped me and my family feel a lot better over the last few days and all the other times we have been there. Anyone with new pets who are looking at which vets to take them to please please go to the Animal Ark.

my dog Bruce sadly lost his fight against cancer on Thursday I am completely devastated but truly thankful for the extra time I had with him. This was down to the amazing care he received from Catharine, Lyndon all the nurses and the receptionist. You really are a special group of people who clearly love the job you do. At the end Lyndon was there the whole way he treated me but more importantly Bruce with total respect and dignity I was scared but it was in a strange way a lovely end for my boy he looked at peace which is what I wanted for him no more suffering. Words can't say how grateful I am but all I can say is thank you

Was looking after my brothers rabbit, it went into digestive stasis and needed an emergency vet to see him, I called booked the appointment and the animal was registered at this vet. My brother and sister in law have had more than 5 rabbits through this vet and spent literally thousands there.
Now I say again, I went in there with the animals registered details. The rabbit could have died over night the condition was that serious. I spoke to the vet and asked him if they could put the charge on my brothers account as the ONLY way I could pay was on credit. He basically agreed with the diagnosis that the rabbit had digestive stasis, that condition if left untreated can be fatal very quickly, but with treatment has very good chance of success and full recovery. But refused to treat unless I paid in full there and then.
Now I understand this attitude if the animal was not registered there to an address and an account and an account that has spent thousands at that vet, but it wasn't.
Then when he supplied treatment, one of which was for worming, he actually gave me 1/4 of what the animal required for treatment if there has been a suspected incident. So even after a huge bill an argument in the vet and a shoddy attitude, I didn't have the full medication required to ensure I would not have to bring him back within a week.
Be very very careful if you have rabbits, the vet had poor understanding of them, didn't treat me with respect. Has no concept of loyalty or compassion for an animal which has been with the vet since a tiny baby.
Needless to say my Brother is finding a new vet!

It is a very expensive but all vets are, all vets should make it affordable, but been going here for years and the vets know my dogs and cats and the staff are always very helpful and friendly and the place is always clean and very welcoming

Simple THE BEST VETS!
Tried few different places, as moved to another side of the river, however, none are amazing as Animal Ark! Don't mind driving there, if needed.
Had video appointment in less than 20mins! So, friendly and helpful ????

My local vet for my dog Marley and cat Neko. Been going there since they were babies. I also adopted 2 cats from the vet. The veterinarians are ever soo kind, sympathetic, professional and absolutely amazing with the pets. The nurses are very attentive towards the needs and wants of the owner and the pets. .and one of the best things I like whilst waiting g to be called is you have choices of coffee, tea, soft drinks and biscuits.. (I sometimes give Marley 1 too☺)
Overall I don't think I'll ever change taking my pets to another vet. As I feel confident and safe getting my pets seen by the Animal Ark team....

Their focus isn't the business profit but a job well done and they are constantly focusing their efforts on giving back to community.

Very nice and helpful. The place is clean and they remind you of any appointments by text. Prices are reasonable and they have some free parking opposite.
Edit on 16 Jan - Visited today to get both dogs vaccinated. Rosie has in the past been prone to seizures when she's overwhelmed by new places/smells and so Joe (vet) conducted the health check and vaccine in the car park - a very kind thing to do - thank you Joe and team.

I have had to update my review. After being with them for a few years and receiving a 5 star review in the past 9 months I find myself in a predicament. Simple communications and emails not being efficiently dealt with by reception. Also found previously the medication, flea and worming treatments are tripple the price now. They have been pricy but gosh they are becoming unaffordable. I will be looking at vets outside of London as it would still work out cheaper for me.
I have had to tell them not to cut my pets nails (as it had been done without asking me) they cut them to short that my cat was limping for a week. He was bleeding from two of the nails.

All staffs are very friendly and smile all the time giving you a positive feeling as soon as you enter the vet. The service was also good for me.
A.Ark vet also have their own parking space. Which is a big positive.
However, beware of double charges and additional items in your bill. I took my bird in for a checkup and been charged £77.65. Of course I didn't hesitate to pay. The next day, I called the vet for a breakdown for my invoice and the staff nicely apologized and said the invoice was indeed overcharged and that they have few new starters. Fair enough, newbies can be forgiven.
I asked how long the person has been working who did the invoice. Apparently she started long before than the staff who was on the phone with me. The staff who was on the phone with me started in April. So yeah I didn't get to know how long exactly the staff been working but surely she wasn't a "newbie".
If you genuinely make a mistake, you might end up typing the wrong quantity or wrong price but surely you can't add a product under the Dr profile and then again under her own profile? It would be visually hard to ignore seeing same product name twice one after one. To cut the story short, fact is, it was a deliberate mistake not a "mistake" mistake.
On the Dr's profile it said there were two injection given. I was all the time with my bird and I only saw a single 2ml injection been given. Staff said they gave Baytril + Duphalyte in the same syringe. Well i believe them because i'm not an expert in that area. But the food was indeed charged twice.
Staff on the phone said they will refund in my next visit. Giving only 2 stars so the administration can focus on this issue and prevent this in the future. I would like to trust and pay whatever price they charge and don't have to think about some tricks in the invoice. This is what I'm expecting in the future.
Apart from that, I was happy that I went there, my bird is doing better now. Thank you Ark vet

We've been taking our rats here for around 6 years after a strong recommendation from Mimi Spence at small animal rescue, where the majority of our pets have come from.
The fact that we choose to drive 10 miles from central London to use Animal Ark when there are many much closer truly is testiment to the high regard we hold them in.
We usually see Lyndon or Hailey, who are both lovely and understand rats, and treat them with love and care. They handle them like they're part of their family and always treat us, as pushy and/or parents with empathy and respect. We've recently seen Jessica, and she was equally lovely and knowledgeable.
The reception staff and nurses are also a credit to the practice. They're knowledgeable and helpful, and always go the extra mile. We usually tend to bring our pets in at short notice as rats can deteriorate very quickly. The staff are very supportive and sympathetic to the needs of our pets, and our concerns as owners/parents, and will bend over backwards to help. We've often been stuck in traffic en route and been delayed for a while, but we've never been turned away. They've even started opening on Sundays, and we've been known to shoot over at midnight for genuine emergencies.
I should add that pets aren't an inexpressive thing, and people are always shocked at the money we've spent on operations and other care over the years. That said, we've always found Animal Ark to be fantastic value for money, and never felt that we nor our animals are treated is a cash cow. Far from it.
I think it's also worth mentioning the fundraising events and other voluntary work this practice does throughout the year which benefits many animal causes.
I've recommended this practice to many friends and relatives over the years. As above, we're quite fussy and possibly more than a little pushy when it comes to our pets, and we're truly happy with the continued service we've reviewed over the years.

I honestly think animal ark should warn their clients before booking appointments that they're not allowed their own vet history. It's been over a week that I've been waiting along with various phone calls. Receptionists are good, some are friendly, I think one that goes by Kate is just rude, snappy and I'm sorry if I'm paying for a consult fee and my pets check ups then I am allowed his history. Again you should warn people otherwise. I had a pressing matter in which i needed it, for his breeders and other vets. There dishonest, they waste your time and take your money. I won't be coming back due to the fact of your unprofessional matter and whatever you reply to this will not answer my question on WHY it has taken you or your head vets over s week to send me history of my SICK AND DYING pet. RUDE. Honestly its just rude and neglectful.

I have been going to Animal Ark with my 2 cats ( recently passed) and now my new kitten. I love everyone there from the front door onwards... my boys and i have always been treated brilliantly and we've been for many serious appointments.
I wish my own GP surgery cared and has the same attitude towards patients and family as the staff on Animal Ark do!!

I have had to have my cat put to sleep through an accident she had and the vet I saw was very professional and to the point about cost and wether any treatment would be the way to go. I have been with the ark for 12 years and I have had a good advice and care all throughout my time with them.

I have been using the Animal Ark for 11 years. They are the most friendly and dedicated team of vets and nurses that I have ever met.
Their care and dedication is second to none.
The Animal Ark has a wonderful welcoming feeling when you go in and they always take their time at appointments to help you and your pet feel special.
There is a hydrotherapy tank that has been amazing for one of my dogs and all their facilites are great.
Would never consider using another vet.
