Absolutely loved this restaurant. You can order big or small depending on the number of tapas you get. The two of us ordered fried potato gnocchi, croquetas (ham and cheese), fried veal cutlets, chocolate bomb and tea and a mocha for dessert. The person next to us had an amazing dish made right in front of him at his table. It looked divine and he was another Traveller also happy with his meal. The one thing I would have done better is buy actual pasta because the gnocchi was surprisingly fried like the croquetas. Still amazing and delicious.

Every single thing was amazing. Veal Milanese was excellent, had to order a second. Prosecco options were great. Lasagna was great. Ravioli’s were all good but small. It’s designed taps style so meant for sharing a few different things. Pricing was excellent for quality of food. Venue is beautiful. Definitely returning next time I’m in town.

Interesting restaurant that straggles between two streets and hence seating can be a little compact. Great variety on the menu which is really best described as an Italian tapas restaurant.

This was actually the worst Italian restaurant I have ever been to and I've been to a fair few. Ordered 3 different dishes and after 20 minutes of waiting, the waiter told me none of them were available because they were 'popular'. It was saturday afternoon and they had run out! The service was poor, food was below average in every way and extremely overpriced. Italian food is meant to be hearty and filling, this was anything but. Overall, an awful birthday meal so save yourself the time and money and go to a real Italian restaurant.

Great choice!! Everything we had was delicious and cooked with care. The environment was great although it was packed and a little tight. I would suggest to everyone who appreciates good food. Not an economic choice but it's worth each penny.

The service was very good. The food was mediocre except for the desert which was excellent. The wine was good too. If the food was nearly as good as the service San Carlo Cicchetti would get 4 maybe 5 stars.

Excellent interior and great experience. We hadn't tried this restaurant before but we are happy we did. We had lunch here over the busy Easter weekend, and even at such busy hours, everything was up to a high standard here. The food, the service, and the wine are satisfying. We spent about £35 per person, and we felt it was value for money. Would definitely come back again. 10/10

Beautifully decorated restaurant serving authentic Italian tapas style dishes. Staff were wonderful and all the food was excellent. We did book in advance online which was easy. Highly recommend! Was so close to the lyceum theatre where we were visiting so handy for pre theatre dining.

Food average and value for money not great. Tapas Italian is just an excuse to charge tourists extra. I get so annoyed with Italian restaurants that don't take pride in traditional Italian cooking and focusing on satisfying the customer instead of trying to rip them off for every dollar. Go back to Italy and find your roots.

More like 4 and a half only because it is very "intimate", however it is London and we ate at 6pm on a Friday so its gonna be busy! Our hostess was welcoming and even moved us to a table with more room when we said how tight the seating was. The booking process online was easy.
Our waiter was friendly and explained how the menu works (Italian tapas) and then brought over our water. We ordered some simple stuff as it was our first time here but the food was so good we will come again and be more adventurous next time. It's different to "normal" places but perfect for pre show meal.

Fabulous food & atmosphere but inability to get the dishes delivered in a logical order was disappointing. We had a sausage dish served 1st followed by calamari then carpaccio and after a delay the deep fried vegetable dish. Quite illogical and was the only thing that slightly spoilt a fabulous lunch

A lively and friendly restaurant. Food was excellent and service even better. I have a fish allergy and the chef accommodated this without any fuss. Reasonably priced for London. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

We loved the small sharing dishes style here. For those who aren't sharers, you can still build your own meal with a couple of dishes.
Their way of serving is "as it's cooked" so don't expect everything to arrive at once, but it works fine with the sharing style.
All of the dishes we had were really enjoyable - loved the courgette fries!

Ate at the bar before a show; great ambience, authentic Italian feel and food. Slight mix up re water- ordered sparkling, it never arrived, we weren't too bothered, but then were charged for it. No fuss though, easily resolved. Delicious and we will be back!

Last week while traveling through London and staying at The Waldorf, I came upon a very special gem. It is called San Carlo Chicchetti Covent Garden and it is in the Theater District. I sat at the corner end of the bar by the front window and the lovely Ida greeted me. This is where my romance with their food, wine and service began. I had several dishes, as they are served “tapas.” The portions are actually generous if not even copious. The quality was uniquely delicious. My favorite of the evening was their Tuna Tartare, which Ida prepared so well before my very eyes. When in London, do drop in. It can be romantic, spontaneous, casually fun and orally euphoric (or as I like to say a part-in-your-mouth good time), and it will be most definitely delicious and enjoyable. Sit at the bar and ask for Ida, tell her I sent you and say hi for me.
Cheers to Ida, the Management and the Kitchen for a memorable evening. I have had the privilege of eating at many places. This is a meal I will always remember.

Below average service, slightly above average food. We ordered when the restaurant was empty and somehow the waiter managed to ignore my grandmother's entire order. Fast forward 40/45 minutes after asking for the order twice and they tell us the waiter hadn't written it down.the closest thing to an apology we received was "these things happen." Food was average and overpriced- the fried mozzarella with pesto was 80% just fried breadcrumb, truffle ravioli was no different from any other, and we paid about £13 for three pieces. Cicchetti was a disappointing experience in a restaurant that clearly believes that throwing truffle and pecorino on things makes them gourmet and rescinds them of putting any effort into their menu. Would have gotten better food and service down the road from Vapiano's, or one of the other Italian restaurants in Soho.

Italian tapas and very good. We dined at lunchtime approaching Christmas, the place was absolutely stuffed but they still managed to maintain good service and the food was excellent.
We had pumpkin risotto, beef fillet, monkfish, capresse salad with aubergine and lobster ravioli, all wonderful.
Priced appropriately given the location

Really nice decor and atmosphere. Food was not as good as I was expecting, being an 'award winning restaurant'. The concept of dining here is to share small plates. 6-7 small plates between 2 people.
Pizzas were good but pastas and lasagne wernt up to the same standard. Would come back to try other items of the menu. Staff were pleasant.

Visited this great restaurant before going to the theatre. Service was fantastic and food was fresh and delicious. Tapas portions were plenty, but would recommend at least 3 dishes per person as a minimum. Left feeling full and satisfied. Great value for money, convenient location and would definitely recommed.

Delish! Decided to come here on a Saturday night around 830/9pm and were able to get a table right away. Restaurant was packed but they did have a few tables open for walk ins. We got about 5 dishes, dessert and tea for 2 people and our bill was around 66 pounds- which we didn’t think was bad (going off other reviews of price) waitress was super nice and all the food was delish. Pasta I believe is made in house and you can tell! Def go here if you are looking for a great atmosphere/food.

Good service, even though it was rather busy, and good food. The tapas style eating worked well for my group. It was a bit warm in the centre of the restaurant and they could definitely turn down the music a bit...but otherwise a really decent meal.

Nice food but it was a little loud and portions could have been better. i.e. There was only 2 pieces of ravioli in the portion below.
Also one of the waiters told us off for ordering drinks from another member of staff when he wasn't around?
