After taking my very poorly, elderly cat to be put to sleep down there I will never, ever go to this vet again. The vet was very forcefully and thoroughly examining my cat, who was blind so this was very traumatic for her. I asked her several times to please stop as shoving her fingers down her throat was completely unnecessary when she was being put to sleep. it breaks my heart knowing her final moments were extremely distressing. If that wasn't difficult enough, whilst my cat had the cannula in her arm ready for the euthanization the receptionist walked in with a card reader demanding payment. She was still alive at this point! Our family have found this ordeal very traumatic and have since wrote a letter to the vets explaining the situation, to which we received no response. An apology was all we wanted.

My partner and I have used companion care Hove for many years now, for all our small furries . Based on our experiences, we can not fault them. They have shown kindness and compassion and provided outstanding levels of care, especially when we've had to make heartbreaking decisions. Thank you x

Called to make an appointment for one of our pet rats today as we woke up to find her with a prolapsed uterus and although they were all booked up they still managed to make time to fit her in, despite the fact that the only vet on duty was actually allergic to rats. The vet herself was great, she managed to examine Nova without touching her and knew everything about the condition and how to treat it. All the staff were very polite and really went out of their way to help us out. We can not thank them enough and we definitely recommend this practice to anyone in need.

I had a bad experience here with my dog and wrote an email listing my complaints. This was 15 days ago, since then I was e-mailed a further two times, rung and visited in person. Each time the reception team ( very good) respond by telling me that Graeme and Lucy, the Practice Managers, will be in contact. Ignoring my correspondence will not make this go away. It is simply very rude and extremely unprofessional.

I booked my cats in to be checked over before I the vets would allow us to have any further flea treatment. On entering the room, the nurse had them down for vaccinations, despite the fact they aren’t due for another six months.
We had a 45 minute wait for our appointment. You don’t mind if this happens on occasion but they seem to be running behind considerably, every single time. The receptionist said that the person before us had turned up very late, surely it would have made more sense to make them wait and let the on time customer go in.

The vet was really kind and helpful, but Im really not satisfied with one of the recepcionists. He gave me the appointment via phone and when I turned up he started to moan with me that he gave me the appointment for the next day (wich was not true), but he blaimed me anyway. Finally he did spoke to the veterinary, and she was happy to see my cat. Next time when we went for an appointment, we sat there for 45 mins, the place was freezing cold. We were the only one to wait there. No one said nothing, finally we just decided to leave and find an other veterinary. The recepcionists called me when I was outside of the building, but he did not say anything as we were leaving. The vet was really good.

We had the terrible task of having to have a cat put down I was cat sitting for for a friend. The first impression of having to walk through Pets at Home and the waiting area in the reptile department wasn't great but this was all turned positive when we met the doctor and veterinary nurses.
My experience with vets so far was that they often are good with animals but lack communications skills with humans. This wasn't the case at all here. Both my friend and I were most impressed by very caring and friendly staff at this surgery!
We were explained the options and procedures in detail and the doctor explained everything again to the cat owner over the phone. I couldn't have wished for a better vet team in such a difficult situation!
