Grove lodge isn't the closest vet practice to our home, their health club plan was always on my mind as something I'd like my dog to benefit from. After a fellow dog owner recommended. I've decided to swap a 3 min walk for a 10 min drive. I wasn't disappointed, the staff is lovely and caring, even though we cannot enter the building at this moment in time, they made it work with an outdoor exchange, before and during the appointment when I could point out my concerns and we agreed on the course of action. I'm so pleased.

We moved to the neighborhood this past winter and feel lucky to have this vet clinic just a short walk away. The front desk employees and the veterinarians have always been friendly and helpful, and helped our cat get through his adjustment period of meeting his new neighbors (which in cat terms meant several fights) Thanks Grove Lodge for always patching him up!

I highly recommend Grove Lodge Vets, the genuine warmth of the reception makes it a pleasure to visit and the calm professional care we've always had from every vet we've seen has been excelkent. Our cat has only been genuinely sick once but the immediate response and treatment we got had the whole family reassured and the cat seemed to know he'd been cared for and bounced back rapidly.

Unfortunately had to change vets after being with them for years, I ignored a lot of warning signs and if you feel the same, don't go here. I finally had enough today. Receptionist really rude and they did not care that my cat may die without medication and tried to blame me they were fully booked after I had been calling for a week to get hold of a vet. Also always found the vets here very wishy washy and not great at handling nervous animals. I stayed due to them knowing the history of my pets problems but ultimately its not worth it. Also during covid they put my dog in this tiny cage crushing her and left her really really distressed and the vet seemed away with the fairies as my dog screamed. If you want an assertive, experienced caring vet and calm professional caring receptionist, who can manage admin, this is not the vet for you.

Very nervy vet was scared and unprofessional with my nervy dog. Next to no examination for the £100 plus bill. Then they did not have the standard spot on flea treatment prescribed. What vet does not carry flea treatment? So I had to return another day to be told that they still had none. So I returned yet another day. Their card reader would not accept my card for payment. An obvious fault with their machine as it was saying 'card declined, too many PIN attempts' despite none being attempted. No worries I had the correct cash. They refused to take the £11.50 in cash saying that they never take cash. Despite the previous consultation being paid in cash four weeks earlier. So I was made to leave without my animals necessary medication. What a way to treat your customer and their animal. Other vets will now be considered.

My cat Merlin was looked after by this branch for all of his 14 years. They are very caring towards the animals and their owner's. They are very welcoming and helpful. I would like to thank them for the care they gave Merlin ,especially the past 13months. And thankyou for the thoughtful card you sent me after I had to let Merlin go.

Grove Lodge Vets cares more about money than the animals or it's clients . My insurance did not cover the £2000+ bill I arranged to pay via installments. However I received a call from one of the vets asking for the payment in full. When I explained I was not in a position to pay in full I was told to take out a credit card to pay for the bill. On questioning this suggestion the vet said that they would have had the resources put aside to pay the bill. I found this very arrogant and discriminating as not everyone, despite working has a large reserve of money to hand. There was no understanding shown of my circumstances and the call ended with me being threatened with my debt being handed to a debt collecting service who would take me to court. Disgusting.

I had a terrible experience with them that left me in slight disbelief and, sadly, questioning their professionalism. Because of that I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. My cat was seeing by several different vets there within a space of a few weeks in March 2020, all of whom said something slightly different about his case, all vets were always nice enough but really, really busy. I went there 5 times in total, spent just under £1000... for absolutely nothing. My cat’s health deteriorated between the appointments and despite getting in touch with them saying that I needed someone to take charge of the investigation and desperately asking to see their notes and where they were at with it, I had no answer. 4 emails were written to them to which 0 answer I received. It felt really late to change vets and I had to take him to an emergency app in Worthing, the only place we saw an incredibly attentive vet that was doing her best and was so kind to us. She was the only person that showed us compassion, care and respect. Sadly everyone else at the Brighton branch had so many opportunities to get back to me and show that what was being investing into the investigation would get somewhere, but simply chose to ignore me whilst my cat was dying. I don’t think much could have changed the outcome of what happened with my cat as it was a complex case, but it doesn’t change the fact that they made bad decisions in the process because of their conflicting views on his case (prob a reason why I never got to see any notes?). It’s quite hilarious to think about this now but they even booked him in for an op that was for something completely unrelated that wasn’t giving him any discomfort! I don’t know what’s their excuse for not replying to me either, especially in a moment of such grief. In a nutshell, I had very high bills, poor service, zero empathy and a deceased cat by the end of it. Maybe my cat’s case was too complex for them, maybe that’s why they struggled to deal with it properly and avoided at all costs answering me...? It felt like my pet was just a number and money making opportunity that deserved no respect.

I normally don’t write google reviews but I thought I should share my unpleasant experience here. I booked an appointment because my cat was vomiting (first time patient). I receive a call an hour before the appointment telling me to come an hour later than my appointment time, because they’re running behind. I even asked them if I should come in only 30 minutes later and they said no. I go in an hour late as per their instructions and they tell me the vet is gone and I should have come in on my original appointment time and there was nothing else they could do.
Honestly if they care so little about their administrative matters, I bet they have just as much care about the quality of medical service they provide for pets.
Disappointing. My cat dodged a bullet. Would give zero stars if possible.

I registered my cat (Mrs. Cookie) for the first time at the practise, and found the staff, (receptionist) friendly and responsive to my enquiries regarding my cats well being. I was well informed by the receptionist re: pet plan schemes that exist which saves a ton on fees.
The vet that saw my cat was on time and was equally professional, knowledgeable and an excellent source of advise, she dealt with my cat with a very high professional standard, in fact when the vet administered the annual injection Mrs. Cookie didn't even flinch, I was half expecting Mrs. Cookie to hiss and pull her claws out, but instead Mrs. Cookie just sat and admired the room :-)
The veterinary practise from the outside looks like two adjoined shop fronts, however inside it is a clean well ordered practise with reasonable fees that I would not describe as excessive, I would recommend this vet practise to anyone. I feel completely reassured Mrs. Cookie is in good hands at Grove Lodge Vets, after all God knows how much money I've spent on her :-) ...Well she is worth it :-))

Possibly the worst practice ever. The lack of empathy is staggering. The indifference is breathtaking. And quite possibly missed the cause of our much loved pet dying suddenly. Having seen the decline of this once top quality vets over the past decade, I felt compelled to write this. These 'animals' are our family.

Being an indoor older cat, I recently had to go for a few tests. I am pleased to say that I have been cleared on all. My vet was kind and nice to me as were all of the receptionists. After a few meows I went home happily again thank you all Sweetie ????

Always full of smiles from the reception and the practise is so clean. They explain things to you very clear and I'm very happy to say grove lodge is the best vet for my cats. I'd highly recommended grove lodge espeicly the pet care plan which is a big help when you have no cash at the time! Well done grove lodge. Have already recommended you to others ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our Cavalier Lucy is always excited to come to the surgery, she literally drags me through the door. The staff are so friendly and amazing at their jobs working with animals. I am always listened to with any concern I may have and walk away feeling confident with the advice or treatment for my dog that has been given. I would highly recommend Grove Lodge to anyone with a pet, they're amazing !!!

I previously went to a local vets before but the more pets I have got I found it was easier and nicer for them all to be on the cheap and helpful pet plan at grove lodge I can always get an appointment and they are very helpful my animals never have a problem with going my puppy had her jabs yesterday and the vet was giving her treats the whole way through the consultation so she was happy and relaxed and always got given then best Advice and it’s every understable !! I 100% recommend the grove lodge vets !!

I called at 10am to arrange painkillers for my dog. I was told they will talk to vet and call me back
No communication until 6pm so I call them back to hear "It is here ready to collect"
I drove from Brighton to Worthing to be told by childish receptionist that she cashed up already and can't give me pills now.
"give me painkillers for my dog now" I said "and invoice me so I can pay you tomorrow" (it's 21st century so it is not unusual to make bank transfer)
---- Childish receptionist had fit like 5 years old child! ----
all day no communication to arrange pills but for payment they called first thing in the morning with snaky comment?!
