Fantastic takeaway, all vegan. Best Indian food since coming back from India. Authentic, well priced, great portion sizes and not at all oily. Epic chapattis too!

We had dinner at Planet India one week after they reopened (after lockdown). All in all, amazing Indian Vegetarian Food. Nice seating outside. Their dishes have a lovely home cooked feel and taste. Try the Shai Bhel Puri, it is the most amazing Indian salad-type dish I ever had! The onion bhajis are also second to none. Their menu has some nice little touches to help you to decide what to have. They have a good selection of beers as well. Highly recommended.

This is truly the best kept secret in Brighton. The food is amazing. Truly amazing. I'm not vegetarian but I could eat here every day. Service is relaxed and friendly. Menu covers plenty and wine choice is great. Everybody should try this, I can see why the students in Brighton love it. So wonderful to eat here.

My second visit to Planet India with the same friend as last time. Very quiet this evening, with very few customers in. We had delicious starters and the very, very spicy main to share. Unfortunately, my friend and I had stomach problems - both of us were straight to the loo when we got home and I am still stuck there the next morning. We expect it was the very spicy dish that is eating our insides, so avoid unless you've got guts of steel!

Absolutely amazing restaurant! You walk in and smell all the spices and know that it's so authentic. Customer service was so good! I love all the family photos around the room too. I will definitely be coming again next time I visit!

The food is fabulous. It has to be said that this is high quality eating. The food here is not at all the standard Indian fare but really excellent and well crafted spice combinations with terrific layering. Simple things like samosa are homemade style rather than the mass produced rubbish.

Food was sensational, you can tell it's homemade with love and the portions were vast. Prices were great, the menu entertaining and service both friendly and helpful. Best of all was the real family vibe; overall a lovely place to eat.

Samosa Chaat starter was excellent but otherwise very poor in terms of service, environment and food quality. Curries were inedible all-round. Relatively good value (as curries go) but definitely would not recommend.

My second visit to this amazing restaurant and once again I had a wonderful meal. The staff are friendly and attentive as well as being very personable with customers. The food speaks for itself, from the moment you begin to look over the menu and see the selection of dishes available and care that has been taken on describing them, you know it's going to be good food. I had a selection of starter's including one of the best samosas I have had in the UK. Mains wise I had the aubergine in yogurt and cumin rice. I'm not the biggest aubergine fan however the chef(s) did something special in that kitchen and created one of the nicest, smoothest Indian dishes I have had in years. After a couple of beers, a selection of samosas and other starters along with mains for two people it was under £50 and I left feeling pleasantly full having enjoyed the meal and overall experience as much as the first time I ate here.

The Lady who runs it is really nice, unfortunately, I can't say the same about the waiters, they were rude. They also took our order wrong, it wouldn't matter that much if at least the food had been great, but it wasn't.

Busy veggie Indian with a great sense of humour (read the menu) and delicious, sometimes unusual curries. Loved the stuffed paratha. Chapattis were super fresh.

Wish I could give this more than 5 stars! I had the Spinach/Kale/Lentil jobby with Cumin rice. It had heat but not silly heat to scorch your tongue, but bursting with flavours at the same time. Rich, nutritious and filling. Oh and the free popadom and lime pickle was bloody lovely as well. Under a tenner, please tell me anything you could mark it down for?!

Always amazing service and food. Love the welcoming atmosphere of this little Brighton gem. I've been here with big groups and we all share the dishes so I've tried every curry on the menu. I can't pick a favourite they are all too good!!

If you are vegan or vegetarian and you like spicy and Indian food than the place is definitely for you. Go for two halves as you will get more this way, you will see what I mean ;) The selection of alcoholic drinks is interesting as well but be careful not to develop the "Dog responses of Pavlov" ;)

Wonderful family-run restaurant with exceptional, authentic, vegetarian Gujurati food. If you expect a chicken tikka masala, or British Indian food then this won't be the place for you... although that would be your loss ????

The atmosphere here is great & the food is just to my liking, & I also love the prices. However, if you're not a fan of spicy food I would recommend checking with your server before ordering. I would also recommend booking in advance as this place is crazy popular!

Really excellent restaurant/cafe The onion bahji and samosa are the best we have ever had. The mains although all vegetarian, really surprised this meat eater. Would not visit Brighton again without visiting for a meal. Bob Marley background music another added bonus
