We booked as a large group and the restaurant were very accommodating and great with us. The owners are lovely people and recommended us some great beers. Food was great, recommend having a half and half curry! Very highly recommend

Every time I've been the food has been incredible and service excellent. You can tell it's going to be good based on the amusing menu! Awesome to have vegan versions of most options.

Was ok, listed in cheap eats, but for what we got we thought a little expensive considering it's pure veg. Stuffed paratha was really small!!! All very tasty tho.

Very different from the standard and usually dull Indian restaurant. Quirky, family run place with an unusual veggie menu. The offerings are limited in number and having sampled most, we found the dishes to vary from tasty to delicious. I recommend it enthusiastically.

It's an amazing place, I've been going there for years and years pretty much since it opened and it never disappoints. The food is wonderful and everyone there are really friendly and welcoming! Definitely a must go to!

I don't like it hot - he does! Beautiful vegetable korma that was just right for me and something spicy for him. Sorted! Second visit and both were memorable for all the right reasons. We will be back!

Friendly, family run Indian restaurant serving authentic, homely Indian food. Great Organic wines & craft beers. Best for vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters who want a spicy break.

A firm favourite of mine for years. I was delighted when it re-opened very close to where I live. Stunning 'street food' and main courses. Sweetcorn and patra curry -must- be tried. Great beer selection. An Indian restaurant that is genuinely different to the norm. Makes me proud to be vegetarian.

A cut above most of the other Indian restaurants in Brighton, with the added bonus of being 100% vegetarian. There's a lot of seating, I've never had an issue getting a table when I've showed up without a reservation. They've got a pretty interesting selection of drinks as well. My only complaint is that their food tends to be a little too salty sometimes (especially items like the black chickpea curry, where the saltiness overpowers the spiciness for me), but otherwise it's great. Their Masoor dall is probably the best thing on the menu.

Interesting home cooked food, with family pic's. Friendly staff. They have good chilled music with two sittings on our night so don't worry if no- one is there, they all arrive at 8:30.

A Brighton institution. Very reasonably priced good Indian vegetarian food, interesting selection of beers including Fraoch heather beer from Scotland. And the owner is a real character who goes around in barefoot and apparently in his pyjamas. And Bob Marley on the sound system.

Great food at extremely reasonable prices. All vegetarian but don't let that put you carnivores off (I'm not vegetarian). The food is very good, great flavour. Don't expect the normal curry house repertoire of Madras, vindaloo korma etc but they doo have curries to suit most pallets from mild through to very spicy.

Nothing special, curries tasted home made and quite wholesome but didn't have the delicate blend of spices I was expecting..More like the dahl I make at home than anything. Samosa pastry lovely but mush inside. Didn't really live up to expectations, unfortunately. Beer expensive and again nothing special. ????

Only found out yesterday that Planet India finally reopened and went for a takeaway. Excellent food for a great price. Our favourite Indian food in Brighton & very glad to see that they've reopened in a larger more comfortable venue. I hope they continue to do well. The only sad thing was that they can no longer get hold of the great Indian Thums Up (and that's not a spelling mistake!) drink which they used to stock when they were at Preston St. Welcome back.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant food. All Indian food should be as good as this. Southern Indian restaurant far removed from your standard balti. Limited but beautiful menu, fabulous staff, excellent decor and big Bob on a playlist. You just cannot go wrong. I'm a vegan so a veggie restaurant is always going to be first choice. And this is, or should be your first choice too. You will not be disappointed

Excellent food (vegetarian and vegan), good service and a decent selection of beer. Each item on the menu has a small review coming from the owner, like the spicy black chick peas, which are described as his wife's favourite. The waiter (the owner?) serves barefoot. A must if you are in Brighton.
