We had lovely 3 course lunch at the restaurant, impeccable service provided by the stuff and especially the restaurant manager treated us personally. Food was very nice, and will definitely visit again soon.

Website allows you to book afternoon tea until 7pm, this is clearly a mistake as when we inquired to confirm the booking they said afternoon tea is served from 12:30 to 4.30pm. Also if you're trying to call them you need to get some patience, they hanged up on us five times :(

Fabulous place for a upmarket British Afternoon tea, yummy fresh sandwiches (which they keep offering you more of) scones and a plate of mini deserts. My 2 year old daughter also had the childrens Hamleys afternoon tea and eat the lot! Staff were really friendly and very accommodating with our daughter.

Pleasant and tranquil atmosphere. Sandwiches are just OK, pastries are just OK (except the scones — they were excellent!), teas are just OK, service is just OK. Very pricey for what you get, compared to other similar institutions.

I worked here when the hotel opened and I was part of the first staff trained at the hotel right after its original renovation . This is the most abusive job I have ever had with abusive trainers and horrific dirty kitchens and uniforms. When I was there I was seriously verbally abused several times and threathened after I demanded to talk to my supervisor. Any company that could even think about abusing its staff like that is a discrace. Stay away from this horrible nasty dump.

Sister booked high tea for my mother's 70th birthday 3 weeks in advance through open table , was told no bookings no availability for 330 so booked for 530pm as suggested. Turn up on the date and told that no high tea served after 4.30. Very disappointing. Of course the hotel can't be entirely blamed but pleaas dont make same mistake!
