Just because you’ve been allowed to stay open as you are deemed essential business that does not mean that you can forego any and all customer service. Neither does that mean you can also forego decency humanity offering a shred of concern let alone any kind of help to the customers waiting out in the sunshine for over an hour.
What I really don’t appreciate is the attitude and a passive aggressive nature of your staff particularly one of the blonde-mutton-council estate
-pram facelift member of staff giving me attitude for pointing out the fact after an hour waiting I wasn’t even offered an apology nor was I even given a smile let alone thank you.
I wouldn’t have advised recommend anyone to go to Halfords due to previous experiences in store. Now when it should be even easier to provide a quick efficient customer friendly service you’ve decided to take a step back and become even worse.
Many many companies are providing customers with a member of staff in the car park advising them at a safe distance following the social distance protocol but all I got when I asked why you were not doing that at Halfords I was given more attitude attitude attitude.
You should feel very grateful and privileged for being allowed to stay open but I tell you what you’re losing customers because you’re failing to do the basics

Terrible service. Came in to buy a bike seat for my child, most of the products on display were sold out and the won't allow sales of display items. All left was a front facing seat. They told me they could fit it. I came a few days later and although it was fit on the bike it was clearly obvious there was absolutely no way you could ride the bike now it was on.... Some of the staff clearly don't have a clue. Obviously wanted a refund and it to be removed and they informed me they could only provide a refund if I had a receipt!! The bike was still in the shop at the time!! Madness. In the end they refunded me and removed it.. Waste of time go somewhere with actually experienced staff

Slightly chaotic. I ordered a key for my roofbox, due in 4 days. They did not have it when I arrived, however i received a phone call 6 weeks later to say they had found it, Manager was very helpful though - so have given 3 stars

It's always been a mission to get served by a member of staff here. Like a game of 'escape and evade the customer', they move covertly around the aisles avoiding eye contact at any cost, disappearing into the ether should an approach be attempted. I would have given one star but for an occasion when, what must have been a covering member of staff, actually approached me and was able to demonstrate a number of different car audio headsets, one of which I bought - pity that was just one time in about 30 - 40 visits to buy a variety of products over the years.

Went to pick up 2litres off demon shine today at 3.30 the young lady on door was good as gold and looked shattered but helped with what I wanted even tho she works in the automotive department would go back and see her again for help

I ordered a couple of things online for click and collect they gave me the wrong inner tubes to start off I also ordered a bike that was supposed to be picked up and I was told that I would get a call I never got a call and when talking to customer service they said they would pass the message on for them to call me and they still didn’t I would recommend never order anything online just go in store

Excellent customer service. I went to fix my electric bike breaks. And I asked them some questions regarding some other bikes. The customer assistant (Radek) was very friendly and helpful even though I asked him lot of questions. I highly recommend this place.

Great customer service. Super helpful staff that offered tips and advice for choosing the perfect bicycle for me. They even asked the manager if they were allowed to cut the post on a bike to tailor to my height. Glad I live around the corner from here. Friendly staff and superb atmosphere. Never had any problems coming here and they've always been willing to help. I definitely recommend coming to this store out of any of the other Halfords' stores in the area.
EDIT: Reading the other reviews, it looks like Halfords have taken customer service to mind in recent times. The staff there currently are very friendly. I've had 2 staff help me look around for a perfect bike during the occasions I went there.

The security guy follows and watches you like an eagle, i know thats his job but it just makes you feel super uncomfortable. In addition I asked if they could discount a dirty opened used product and they refused it. Expensive, much better to shop online if it's not urgent.
