Brilliant service. To me, car stereo's and speakers are very confusing with all the different sizes and connections. I was asked what I wanted and was walked through by Leonard the best and cheapest way of getting it. My car now sounds brilliant. Definitely worth it as the work was done to a very high standard. DO NOT go to Halfords. I had a double din stereo installed, front speaker upgrades, under seat subs and amp in the boot. Top marks.

This place isn't awful. Really know their stuff and will do a great job. The loss of 2 stars was for 2 reasons. 1. Really hard to get the attention of anyone for more than 5 minutes before they get distracted with someone else, took an hour for what should have taken 15 minutes, and 2, a rather rude engineer started working on a car in front of mine when it was due to be picked up so I couldn't get my car off the lot causing me a half an hour delay straight into rush hour. This is the main reason for lack of stars, just not good.

Great Service, Great Staff. Got my front door speakers fixed on my VW Scirocco. Fast and efficient, my car has never sounded so sweet. If you aren't coming here you really are missing out (i'm even considering upgrading my whole system and tbh I never thought I would!). Would recommend to anyone who needs audio assistance as they offer the full sha-bang from upgrades to troubleshooting.

Leonard is very knowledgeable and experienced about car audio and he and his team offer a very friendly and personal service. They resolved my problem (again to do with a new car audio system badly fitted by Halfords) completely for a fair and reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Been using this shop for a few years. They've upgraded the audio system in every car I've owned for the past five years. Recently they installed component speakers and under seat subs along with a 4 channel amp in my bmw E82. There work has always spot on and I'm very please with the recent work. The owner, Leonard is a nice fella and will also point you in the right direction if your unsure of the direction to go on your upgrade.

After 18 months of being messed around by the person I purchased this DAB radio from and him having the unit for some 3-4 months then telling me to get lost and when nobody else wanted to help me with my faulty kenwood DAB radio, Leonard @ Finsbury Car Audio removed my radio, lent me a replacement one and sent mine away to be repaired. He dealt with the correct people to get this sorted. The mistake I made was not coming to see Leonard before I purchased this radio elsewhere. Great customer service, great customer support, would recommend Finsbury Car Audio to anyone who asks me where to get there car audio, phone kits etc. Leonard, Thanks for restoring my faith in people.

My old audio system was playing up and Finsbury Car Audio came top of the search list. I called without notice and expected to be given an appointment some time in the next week or so or to be subjected to sales talk without consideration of repair. Instead they immediately started checking the system and, unable to decide if the problem was in the set, the speakers or both, lent me a radio over the weekend to see if the problem recurred. It did not, and so I went back today. They reluctantly advised I'd need a new set and they installed it while I waited. They could easily have tried to sell me something first time but instead were anxious to save me money if they could. Not only that but the whole experience in this family-run firm was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! ABSOLUTELY APPALLING: Service Staff Stereo equipment Owner is rude - NOT knowledgeable about his own products! Tried several times to get my money back, ended up going to ANOTHER professional to fix my car with a BETTER car stereo. Once they get your money, they DO NOT CARE! NO aftercare for products, no guarantee! APPALLING, RUDE SERVICE, NEVER EVER AGAIN! I will continue to DISCOURAGE anyone that wants to go there! If I could give them less than 1 star, I would! Do NOT believe the fake positive reviews!

I wanted to replace my SatNav and thought it would be a huge cost. Lenny explained I could do something cheaper, that would work very well and he did all of this even though as a result, he didn't make one penny. That is really putting the customer first - impressed.

I did my research on several companies,including the so called 'Biggies'(Halfords etc) but was keen to use a local trade. So around a month ago I met Leonard from Finsbury Car Audio, a colourful character, who comes under the category: 'One of your own'. I needed a completely new set in a 14 year old car, and new the work was going to be awkward and fidgety. DAB radio,4 speakers, woofer, tweeters, amp, were all included in my specification. Four weeks on and my Audio is outstanding, everything that I wanted. So, if you want a no nonsense, tell you like it is, car audio shop then visit Leonard and his team. You'll get what you want and pay for.

Don't ever come to this place they add extra charges for no reason after giving you a set price. They told me my speakers needed to get replaced and said labour and speakers cost £100 and after they told me there was a loose wire which they fixed an told me that labour cost £60! I spoke with the manager and he wasn't taking and sympathy and charged me. Very bad service only good this in the receptionist

Overpriced, moody on the telephone when ringing for a simple price and genuinely somewhere I wish I had never even considered. I think all the other reviews on here must be fake because there is no way I would give this place anywhere near 5 stars. I'll gladly drive to the next car audio specialist in the future.

Appalling customer service. Moody woman on the phone that showed no interest, no effort and little knowledge. Four attempts to contact the apparently lauded Leonard received no response or reply. No courtesy. Those that rave about this place got lucky or were an easy job. Thankfully there are other options in Central London so we are not beheld to these jokers. I went to a different place and paid just under £1k for an audio upgrade - not an insignificant amount, but clearly not enough to get this lot off their lazy backsides. If they don't reply to your call within one day - avoid them.

Firstly let me start by saying I've never written a google review before. I had to sign up to leave this review which I am doing with great pleasure. I phoned Finsbury Car Audio to ask if someone could fit a new Kenwood DAD stereo today. I spoke to a young lady who was very helpful. She then put me on to Lennon, he said if he collages are busy to fit it he will do it himself. It was a 30minuite drive to the shop from where I am based but I was desperate so I drove there. On my arrival I met Lennon. Who gave me a 5 star service. He fitted the radio himself even though he was super busy. He was amazingly helpful and set the stereo system up for me. I cannot praise them eneough at Finsbury Car Audio. Thank you and I shall recommended this service to my friends and family. Cheers. Jack

a really great solution to a problem caused over time by bad wiring on an alarm /immobiliser. having had whole unit removed to stop electrical failure , i needed another unit to protect the car and not threaten insurance . a chance recommendation brought me back to len and his team , having fixed a stereo for me nearly 20 yrs earlier ....didnt know he did alarms and immobilisers! he took a look at unit removed and said it could still be used if he found a new wiring loom . a few days of digging and lo , loom found and same unit replaced and wired up properly ! it works a lot easier now and saved a fortune not having to buy a complete new unit .car protected and big thanks to leonard and his team ... what service , great value for money and only getting parts needed to solve the problem . will definately be back . big thanks.

I asked Finsbury Car Audio their advice regarding a bluetooth music streaming solution for my 12 year old BMW 5 series. They recommended an IO Play 2. I delivered the car to have the unit installed. A couple of hours later they phoned to say that they could not install the unit because I had a factory-upgraded audio system called Logic 7 which required a conversion lead they didn't have and which would cost extra. I asked them to confirm that when installed, the unit would use the existing amp, not the amp in the new unit (which only powers four speakers). They confirmed it would use the existing amp. I picked the car up and was told I'd be called with a revised price the following working day. A week later I had not heard anything and phoned them. They apologised for failing to call and gave me a revised price. I asked for confirmation about using the existing amp. They said they would double check and call me back in ten minutes. That was six days ago and I'm still waiting. I have since found an alternative audio specialist.

So much to say about this place, first of all the passion they have for doing there job. Lennon called me about 6:30 and dropped by my house after his work and listened to the previous audio system i had he had taken his time listening to it and i asked if it was possible to do everything the following morning which he said he will sort out tonight for the following morning. The staff are superbly friendly and Lennon was so sure I would leave with an awesome system. After the sub and headunit was fitted the technicians showed me the system and my god theres a huge difference. The music is crystal clear and the bass is just soo sexy cant thank them enough. Thanks again.

My first dealings with Finsbury Car Audio were over the phone when Leonard kindly did his best to help resolve issues with my car audio (the Audi system would not recognise my iPhone). Unfortunately it was not a quick fix so I took my car to the shop. Leonard and his colleagues then spent the best part of the morning investigating the problem (for which they made no charge), researching solutions on the internet and finally recommending a Bluetooth product which I could order direct (on which they made no profit). Really first class service, so helpful and professional, such a contrast to the Audi garage who washed their hands of the problem (blaming it on Apple who in their turn blamed it on Audi).

Highly recommended for Technical advice, excellent ‘simplified’ solution, aftersales support – a great customer experience. Problem statement. I wanted to fit a complete new in car entertainment system to a MK 5 Golf GTI. Leonard listened to my brief, the products (new head unit, new amplifier, new speakers and a subwoofer). He researched a wiring solution for me, spent time explaining his solution giving me complete trust and then spoke directly to the technician completing the work. I had spoken to five other suppliers who had all left me with more questions and confused me, Leonard simplified all of the complexity and came up with a simple wiring solution for the car. He then delivered it to the technician and provided excellent post sale support throughout the fitting period. I would highly recommend this gentleman and his shop to others and would definitely use them again. Thank you.

First of all I was sold a broken stereo which I had to get changed then a year later the 'new' stereo broke again but because it was outside it's warranty I was told I need to pay £160 now this apparently is a very rare thing to happen according to Leonard but it has happened to me twice! I pay Leonard £100 and told him I will give him the rest within tgw following two weeks unfortunately I took ill and was unable to contact Leonard who then decided to sell my stereo and refuse to give me back the £100 I paid to get a stereo I no longer have fixed. He is rude and very patronising. I wish I read the reviews before I spent my money with this man. Don't make the same mistake I did avoid at all cost!!!!

Finsbury Car Audio have a great team and Leonard really knows his stuff. I went in to upgrade the standard kit in my Swift to an extra adapter that would connect to my iPod Touch Told him my budget and "wallah!!" an all singing all dancing bluetooth and touchscreen screen enabled iPod iPhone Android phone compatible in car stereo - same price More importantly he guides you on what is worth your money and what is bling Plus way cheaper than many who quoted for the work and much more friendly. Great service at a great price

UPDATED SINCE LIEING OWNER RESPONSE. I would stay the hell away from this place who have zero regard for customer service or responsibility whilst your car is in their care. I took my recently restored classic mercedes to have new stereo and alarm fitted in October 2016. Was assured by the owner that he was very familiar with my car having previously owned a classic Merc himself. I was quoted an initial price, which ended up being increased due to some additional wiring that needed to be stripped. No big deal, I agreed to pay the increased amount. When I picked up my car the break light was not working and my boot would not open. I called Leonard to inform him of this 20 minutes after leaving Finsbury Car Audio, as soon as I got home and tried to open my boot. I was told to drop the car back the next day and they would remedy the issues. I spent over 2 hours waiting while they tried to prise open my boot. I saw the Leonard chip paint of my boot while he tried prising it open. At no time was any apology given. I asked them to be careful and at this point they gave up on trying to ram the boot open, damaging my paint. In the end I left the car overnight and their solution was to drill out my boot lock to open the barrel. The cause of the jam was my car cover had caught on the latch due to Finsbury Car Audio staff carelessly placing it back in my boot after wiring my new alarm. I DID NOT MOVE THE COVER MYSELF AT ANY TIME BEFORE OR AFTER THE INSTALTION AS THE OWNER CLAIMS. My boot operated perfectly when I left the car in their possession and was jammed when it was returned. The owner is accusing me of jamming my boot myself somehow on my journey home? No. I am genuinely shocked at how someone can LIE so outrageously and blame a problem caused by his businesses is MY fault?! Please do post the pictures of all the wiring you had to remove Leonard, it really is irrelevant as I paid the ADDITIONAL amount you asked me to with no questions, therefore your long winded diatribe about wiring has no bearing as with the pictures of the cover which jammed in the boot WHILST THE CAR WAS IN YOUR CARE. Initially, Finsbury Car Audio were apologetic and I was told the lock would be replaced and the owner did a cursory search of the internet to look for a new lock. Obviously I needed to use my car so I was sent away saying they would sort something....A week later I had heard nothing....After 2 weeks I finally got in contact with Leonard who denied responsibility but agreed to pay for a new lock and fix the damage. I am still shocked at how my car can be damaged in their care but they have decided I am responsible. After 2 months of searching I finally sourced a new lock myself at great personal cost and had it fitted as my emails stopped being responded too and quite frankly I would not feel comfortable having my car worked on by Finsbury again. Leonard claims he offered to pay half however I have tried many times to reach him with no avail. Abysmal service from Leonard, very disappointed.

I traveled to Finsbury Audio all the way from Suffolk after being let down by an Alpine Audio person in Norwich and I'm so glad I did It was a complex problem which not only involved the audio/satnav unit but there was wiring installed which was not compatible with the year and make of my car! Throughout the lengthy time it took Leonard and Sherven to try and fix the problem I was looked after by the lovely Sue who I observed being lovely and helpful to all the customers who came into the shop. When it was obvious the system was not going to be perfect, Leonard installed a brand new system which was far superior to my original. I found him to be an absolute gentleman and had the patience of a saint when explaining technical details to me! He clearly knows everything there is to know about car audios. It is the busiest business I have come across and you my have to wait a while as there are just Leonard and Sherven doing all the technical work but they are committed to doing a first rate job and it's worth the wait. If only everyone was as honest and trustworthy as Leonard J Senior 111 the world would be a better place. I cannot recommend or praise Finsbury Car Audio highly enough.
