Very positive experience so far. Lovely interface and easy to understand investment options.

Like all providers, there are things that happen and simply don't happen. I did have an account earlier with Nutmeg and then Nutmeg was super slow in pretty much everything, right from allocating payments to EFTs / equity etc to withdrawals which it takes even now, a fortnight to credit to. As someone who knows financial markets pretty well - I could have got a better return for my investments if I had managed those myself - but I do not have the time sadly. Nutmeg is pretty much the same - my address was wrong and the team claimed to have fixed it, which never happened. All I had to do was use "update" and fixed it myself. Customer care is not really worth shouting about. But what does have appear to have changed is the payments process is a bit easier (if paying by card). Changing direct debits is still a pain in the neck. I suspect Nutmeg has outsourced it's client care overseas so people who reply seem to be barely literate or simply don't care a toss. Nevertheless, it is better than other traditional platforms which are a scam. Accept it - English banking is old and very, very stiff nosed for non existent value. Hopefully Nutmeg will improve it's game. Else, I'm going to swap my ISA at the end of this financial year and then it is truly goodbye. Like some other reviews, I do suspect the company does cap returns at 7% with the rest going to portfolio managers as a bonus. (Come on Nutmeg, get some ethics). Good luck.

Awful customer service. I've been trying to close my account for nearly 5 months and they have repeatedly failed to transfer my funds or respond to messages and requests

Nutmeg is fun but not really a serious way to make money. I have invested circa 15k and my returns have never reached higher then 7% in over four years which is OK but every time there is a crash in the market all is wiped off (I have made more money in my current account in 4 years). Currently I have a minus figure which is understandable in the current situation but there will always be macro economics which will wipe out your profits (credit crunch, Brexit etc). Even at peak it was only showing a cup of coffee a week profit which is now gone. My recommendations either invest more wisely (stick a couple of pounds under a cushion), use it for low level investment fun or cash in the moment you hit circa 7%. The app is good and the team are quick to respond but always respond to questions with 'we have seen a lot of volatility in the market'.

Nutmeg wrongly allocated my £5000 ISA contribution to a general investment account. I've already complained but have very low expectations after an helpful conversation with their support team citing very long response times for complaints. It seems very likely that at the very least this will get to the Financial Ombudsman. It's extremely poor customer care and unprofessional to come up with any sort of excuse instead of correctly allocating my £5,000 ISA contribution.

Very good way to invest your money. You can choose between 10 different styles, everything is very clear. I've been using it for over 2 years and it's been definitely more profitable than leaving my savings in a cash isa or current account

Great user experince and customer service. Have been investing steadily for 5 years and very happy with the returns and investment strategy (high risk). Also consolidated my pensions and they did all of the heavy lifting in term of switching. I would strongly recommend Nutmeg risk pots for time poor investors who are not phased by short term market volatility.

Whilst I have been happy to this point and understand the product offer and innovation made fully - it is sad that simple tricks that old school wealth managers and stock brokers used in the bad old days still persist in the basic level of administration here. Well Done - keep it up.

Nutmeg is the pioneering digital wealth manager. Team is truly dedicated to providing a first rate customer experience and solid investment performance for a low transparent fee. Not for daytraders - plan for the long term and get rich slow!

Excellent. Really love the idea of paid experts taking decisions on my behalf. With Nutmeg for a year now and returns are better than expected. Currently have a company pension but if I ever need to switch to a personal scheme Nutmeg will be my choice. Love the access to information which is presented in a fun way. This is how investments should be; clear, concise and updated.

Easy to use and competitive rates. If you are new to investing and want a service that explains the levels of risk you can choose and makes a smart investment on your behalf then give it a try. It's a long term choice but it's fun to see how your money is doing using the website. Recommended!

great service, easy to use. Makes investing really easy for the novice or time poor investor. Really low fees make a massive difference - significantly cheaper than other managed funds, particularly if you are using an IFA. Strongly recommend.

For the last year I have experienced downright deplorable behaviour from this company. A few years ago I kicked off my investment portfolio and believing the hype I opened a Stocks and Shares ISA account with Nutmeg. After a year of below market returns I decided to leave them and transfer my ISA out. They failed to do so and each time I’d call them they would offer assurances that the funds will be with the new firm the next day or the next week but it never materialised. The funds were finally transferred to me over a month after that at which point I had lost a sizeable sum of money because the stock market had moved significantly. When I raised this with the complaints department they assured me that I will be compensated. When I asked how they will do so they explicitly said they will buy the difference in the shares I could have bought if I had received the funds on time and ensure my stock portfolio would be unaffected. They then proceeded to do nothing. Whenever I called the complaints handler he wasn’t at his desk and when I asked the new investment firm who I had transferred the funds to they hadn’t heard from Nutmeg at all!! When I eventually got through to Nutmeg they said they’d emailed the new company to their generic mail box and had not yet received a response!! I had to call the other firm and ask them to confirm. After going back and forth a number of times I eventually gave up and said that I will send Nutmeg the contract notes for the shares for Nutmeg to then value the missing shares. They asked me to send that to a generic mailbox and which I questioned again as to its security as I was sending through confidential contract data. They couldn’t give me an alternative. Finally after going through this whole process Nutmeg did not buy me the missing shares. They came back with a preposterous valuation and said they would pay me less that half the value of the shares and said they could not buy me the shares as they promised! They very kindly offered what I can only called peanuts as compensation for my ‘trouble’ which was over 24 calls to them and many calls to the new firm following up on Nutmeg’s progress. All this was going on when my dad had just passed away and I was going through a lot of mental strain and this company only aggravated it. Please do not invest with them. They have absolutely no integrity and for the return they make which is sub-par the risk and the pain you will have to endure is absolutely not acceptable. It’s been almost a year since they failed to transfer my funds and I’m yet to see any compensation from them. As a young investor who started off their investment portfolio with them I have learnt a very hard lesson that has left me with a feeling that can only be described as disgust.

Faultless experience with all the families ISAs. Returns (obviously) much better than Building Society ISA. A bit fiddly to open, but after that really easy and simple. Web site straightforward. All family members happy - small investors (>5k/pa). Risk strategy questionnaire allows you to control investment and hence returns. Strongly recommend to first time investors in Stocks & Shares ISA.

Excellent returns, helpful and friendly customer service staff, good transparent website and easy to navigate account, once you've logged in. I really like the way that you are kept updated by a weekly web u-tube video by the CEO, about the market and the current financial climate. It seems to me that this organisation want to and really manage to instill confidence in their clients, as I have held a portfolio with Nutmeg now for around 1 year, and aim to stay with them until I retire, as the returns are too good to pass up, by keeping your money in a bank. Even the ISA's don't prove a patch on the type of returns I've been seeing. However, I do have my finances in a risk 10 level, and even during a recession such as the 2008 one, you would be unlikely to lose vast amounts of money on a higher risk, as I've calculated and looked into it all. Therefore, very happy so far, and am now going to try and get a pension set up too.

Very easy to activate, very user friendly, very good customer service, but..... the performances are awful and after 7 months my ISA account is underperforming. My basic Barclays account is performing better with its 0.00% of interest.

Clear, easy to use service. However so far my experience in the form of returns has been terrible. I began with 2 small pots (1 x £1000 risk level 6) and (1x £500 - Risk level 2). In now 4 months I have lost money on both. Down £27 on pot 1 and down £7.60 on pot 2. Not great really.

The only reason to ever signup is if you really want to tell your friends you're "investing". For those who can comparatively assess return, fees, etc vs using the most simple bluechip income portfolio + a cheaper broker, you reach the inevitable conclusion Nutmeg is only a great way for its owners to make money, because no one else ever will make a single inflation adjusted post fee dime. Shady language used throughout, unclear forecasts, no view of annualised year by year returns not even in an ISA???, no real correlation between your risk profile and portfolio of choice, slow to invest your money, slow to get it out, and so on. There's nothing they do that a very basic book on stocks couldn't teach you to do better.

My wife and I are fortunate to both have major sums invested in a Swiss bank which are managed actively and generally produce good returns (this year to date 7.5%) BUT we have not bought NISAs and liked the idea of a carefully managed, low cost fund requiring no action that we could use to place NISAs and test out the Nutmeg approach. So far brilliant. I love its openness and ease of use. The return is not very high but that is the nature of investments at present and I am happy to feel in control of the level of risk and diversity and to avoid the pitfall of buying and selling shares and bonds too frequently. Great idea, well executed - as our confidence increases we will transfer progressively more of our assets.

I consider myself a sophisticated investor, but I chose Nutmeg to manage the bulk of my cash because it's just so easy to use, and will probably perform better than if I were constantly tinkering with it! Nutmeg is a fantastic example of the DIY "semi-passive" investment business model. Great user experience, transparent in the extreme, with flawless customer service. It's extremely easy to use, even if you're not investment savvy. While not unique in its class, their user experience is second to none. Their website is so well designed, you can find anything you need without searching or getting lost. And I'm sure it'll improve. They make something as complicated as setting up and transferring a pension extremely easy, which is a remarkable achievement. As for setting up and managing an investment portfolio, it's so easy that "not knowing about this stuff" is no excuse to still be keeping your money under the mattress. Anyone can and should be able to get from signup to invested in an evening. That being said, you should always do your own research and know what they're buying and selling on your behalf. That's not difficult, and all of the information is right there. Their customer service is fantastic as well. They're quick to respond, and the built-in "Nutmail" makes you feel like you have a direct connection to someone who can answer your questions. Something a lot of providers of this type overlook. The mobile experience isn't amazing, but it's getting better and who really cares? Not me, at least not enough to rate it anything less than 5 stars.

Transferred money from another bank account. They transferred to somewhere else and have now lost £4700. Speaking with banks and lawyers about action. As well, Started with 2 pots. Both are risk 6 and losing money.

My account is up just over 3% in three months at risk level 8. I have read a few negative comments about pots not performing too well but these people have only invested for a few months. Investing doest always go to plan but over a long period you'll come out on top.
