I have used Spencers twice now. Firstly when I was buying a house. The service and support that I received then made them the obvious firm to go to when I recently sold it.
The marketing was excellent and I had a terrific response when the house went on the market. Emma and the rest of the team did a fantastic job of organising the viewings, sorting through the offers and giving me sound advice at every stage from then on until completion. When the elderly tenant sadly passed away they dealt with managing the clearance of the property and checking that everything was in order most efficiently. Avoid them !!! They let you see a house without saying that they want to give it to someone else, your partner is taking a day off from his job... you come to see it... and you hear the agent how is talking to the next door neighbor that they will not give the house to you ! So, for what reason they still invite you there at first hour in the morning ??? :))) Doesn t matter if you both work 40h per week.. if you have good " history"in this country... they are just making fun of your time and your trust ! They could save our time saying from the start that they are racist or that they found already a person for that house ! In this way... my daughter will not end with a broken heart after they even gave me the papers to sign... thinking that she will start to live there where she saw all those nice kids and that beautiful garden ! Total lack of professionalism !!!

I had issues before moving in to my property at Markfield Court and Spencers are awful at being agents and sorting out issues. I am in the process of writing a complaint and hopefully things can change. Responding to issues other than contract renewals is all they care about. At times, customer service has been poor, I won't be using Spencers again! And it does not help that the Landlords are stingy and also seems like they don't care about the property.

Spencers have been very very helpful in dealing with the sale of my property and have gone above and beyond to accommodate my requests. (Some have been unreasonable) but they have kept me very happy. This is mainly due to Emma who has kept me informed in every stage of my sale and has done much running around behind the scenes to get things moving Quick as possible..especially with the covid restrictions. I had to rent my flat when was in Turkey because of travel restrictions and coronavirus but it was not a problem for me because all helped me. everything about the flat (agreement, payment, contacts, keys, etc.) was ready when I arrived to the UK. Many thanks for your help and it was good experience. (I know that some international students experience weird problems during this procedures, but I have never experienced with Spencers)

I have chosen Spencer's over some of the other estate agencies mainly for the level of communications and they deliver what they say i.e. the price to advertise at, the specification, layout word pagination and photos etc which is very different in my experience's of buying and selling houses and using other estate agents, Max and Elliott stand out as a mention as they communicate well and appraise me of the events leading up to the sale. I would certainly recommend anyone thinking of purchasing or selling go go with Spencer's hence the reason why the 5 stars

Spencer's re let a flat for me in the city centre with a good quick result and all handled Ok. Rosie was particularly willing and helpful to resolve issues. Only negative is the Countrywide central management office really lets the local office down, they are just poor unfortunately.

My partner called to asked for a viewing at 141 Wolverton Rd which was only advertised on 7th Jan 21 and Emma from Spencers Estate was very difficult and unhelpful in arranging a viewing. She asked so much private information as to who was my broker and would then tell me that they do not accept my broker as they do not do credit check on us. Finally she then could not offer any appointment and made it very difficult. She said she had few viewings already and someone already put an offer on the property. By Monday the property would be sold! Must be by magic to sell a house in 3 days of advertising it! Very unprofessional and difficult. Good luck in selling the property.

Sam and Rosie helped me put my house on rent with such an ease during the most difficult times of COVID-19.
Keeping the 2m distance Sam, assistant branch manager, saw the house and showed me the potential it had. To my surprise within 2 days the Spencers Leicester team had found 3 potential tenants.
Following few emails (my usual preference due to my work commitments) they discussed with me the pros and cons of the tenants I would like to enjoy residing in my house. On the odd occasion I needed to contact via phone the team was always there to touch base.
Within matter of a few weeks, Rosie (lettings negotiator) sealed the contract with a lovely family ???? to take care of my house.
I couldn't believe how smooth, easy and efficient the process was. I wish in future Sam's team find a more efficient landlord than me! ???? if there were any delays it was because I was too busy to find the time to arrange for certification of gas and electrics.
I would certainly recommend the team to any landlord, tenant or home mover checking Google reviews.

I would like to stress that I have experienced amazing customer service from Franco. He has been splendid with his help and endeavours. Just to give you some background, I was buying a property and it was a private sale with no involvement of agents. My vendor was buying a property from yourselves.
We were in a catch 22 situation whereby the transaction could have been hindered had it not been for Franco’s intervention. He was cool and calm and displayed great sympathy and assisted myself and both your buyer and the vendor. He kept all lawyers updated and kept me posted to help me relax.
Franco was really brilliant he managed to achieve a happy dialogue with all legal representatives and clients. Franco is a credit to the estate agency profession and his humble approach has made me warm to him. I have asked Franco to keep me informed of properties that meet my criteria as I am on the hunt for new properties.

My wife and I decided to move from Italy to UK, to be close to our son and daughter, both living in UK (the son in Manchester and the daughter, married to a British man and with a new born babyboy, in Leicester).
We decided to move to Leicester and we got a wonderful help by Spencers in finding the right property suitable to our needs and preferences.
Franco and Emma are very professional and also very friendly. They completely understood our requirements and helped us a lot, also considering the problems related to the fact that, at the moment, we are still living abroad and will move to the new UK property in May.

Back in January my wife and I decided to move from London to Leicester so we temporarily stayed at our friends in Leicester whilst looking for a property to rent. Took us a month and a half to find one. Personally visited 51 letting agency and had eye-to-eye conversations with all of them. When we came across Spencers, had a chat and left the building I said to my wife "I want them to become our letting agents, so fingers crossed". Long story short (well, shorter), Leicesters Spencers agents are great and positive people, very helpful and inviting. We had pleasure to meet Scott Foster (lettings negotiator) who is SO positively energetic that could charge any ones battery and Rosie Kitson (lettings negotiator) who professionally dealt with all paperwork and supported us by phone and online throughout whole process. Thanks to their hard work now we're comfortably settled in our new home. BIG thumbs up for you guys! If you're looking for a property to buy or rent Spencers is number 1 choice!

Everything looks excellent until the agreement is signed. Extremely difficult contact after; no call back after several phone calls from my side to renew the agreement. Sales department passively aggressive, rude, no apology given for mistakes on their side. Really unpleasant experience.Totally unprofessional.
