Not living In Leicester, chose Spencers to sell my late brothers property as sale boards locally mostly Spencers. Very pleased with service throughout. Initial contact (Mark), I was given a clear explanation of how best to market the property, a valuation and what selling fees were involved. I was kept updated regularly by the team at the Leicester office, with offers (mostly in excess of asking price). I was shocked but very pleased when the property sold for £30,000 in excess of the valuation because of the keen competition between potential buyers. There was a hiccup when Probate was delayed,, but Spencers held things together. Thankyou Team Spencers.

I really don't like estate agents - they are more of a necessary evil in order to sell your house. Spencers were different! The team at the Leicester branch really couldn't do enough to make the sale happen. They did the viewings, established finances of prospective purchasers - all the things you'd hope for. But, as always, the real measure is when things don't go quite right, smoothly, or at the pace you'd wanted. That's when they came into their own - more specifically that's when Sandra Nightingale came into her own. Sandra chased solicitors, chased financial advisors, chased the purchaser, she followed up on every date and deadline that they all advised, she shared in my frustrations - but worked tirelessly to not only put me at ease but to resolve all the issues that were delaying the purchase. That's the single minded tenacity that you want from someone acting on your behalf: and I'm convinced without her (and the support from Nick / Franco) that the sale would not have completed (or I'd have had a full on breakdown!) Following suite with the other people from my building and posting here aswel, I don't usually leave reviews but I reckon I should with these geezers, who does referencing for them cause I didn't expect to live in a building that stinks of weed and inconsiderate junkies playing music until 5am opposite me tried complaining to the chaps on the contract but and I state they said it was nothing to do with them and I need to complain to spencers? Good one. I'd avoid anything to do with this company unless you're a drug addict with no respect then they've got the right apartment block for you with little to know questions asked. ????

I had invested in three properties all in the city centre. The team at Spencers Lettings really made it easy for me as they had them all rented out in just two weeks. They were really helpful when we were moving in, but when we got the keys, we realised that the flat is dirty (even though it was a newly built property) and someone even forget to wipe off his urine from the toilet seat, so the first couple of days we spent cleaning and never received a compensation for that. Now we have moved out, we did clean, left in a better state compared to the beginning of the tenancy and yet they are trying to take our deposit for cleaning and "damage on the wall" which was there already when we moved in. And just to make things better, they not even telling us our DPS number, so we can not start the dispute. If you do not mind losing your deposit for made up reasons, they are the number one!

One word - OUTSTANDING!!! Property went on the market and in less than a week it was sold and at asking price! We knew from the moment we met Mark for the valuation that these guys are experts in their field. When Mark went on a skiing holiday a few days after our appointment, nothing was held up. We met with Jon who completed all the relevant paperwork in a timely and professional manner. The professional photos were then done within 48 hours at no extra cost (none of this amateur stuff!) Our property hit Rightmove as a premium listing and we had viewings pretty much instantly. The communication regarding viewings from Stephanie and Emma was excellent. We received confirmation texts and emails giving us plenty of notice if we needed to alter days or times. They fully qualify the buyer to make sure they have funds in place before proceeding to making offers. Special mention to Franco who’s the Sales Manager. A fantastic personal service from him. A steady flow of emails and phone calls keeping us up to date with everything that is going on. He’s not one of these boring Senior Management guys who sits behind a desk all day never wanting to speak to people. As with all reviews there is always a negative - I promised a bottle of red wine if they got asking price so I have to stick to my word!! WARNING WARNING WARNING !!! Under a multi agency agreement Spencers are trying to claim commission even though they did not sell the property, be warned check all documents before using this agent in Leicester. They will try and get money out of you for not doing a thing!

Been renting for a year, house got broken into, 0 support from spencers. Homeless people constantly break in and still they do nothing. (also they new about that as they took the warnings from the walls so we wouldn't see) Utilities breakdown, (stove) landlord refuses to fix and spencers does nothing. Now they are kicking me out by increasing my rent to 750 pounds but renting to new people for 700. Worst experience ever. They are supossed to be this top lettings agency but on the contrary. All they Care is about money STAY AWAY

One star is too many for this company, As they pride themselves on being an award winning estate agents, I personally wouldn't let them manage doing the simplest of jobs. We received our keys back in October and since then we've been waiting on blinds, working sinks, working toilets.. the list goes on, In the midst of all of this WE were accused of changing the locks so their building management couldn't get in, when in actual fact it was Spencer's Estate Agents, which only proved to us there's no communication and had to change our working shifts so they could rectify their own mistake with not even a thank you. Not to even mention access to our own water and electricity meters, where we've now not had a reading for 3 months, I will be invoicing Countrywide our usage as it's been an inconvience to us since day one. Not to mention the people they put in charge of buildings, giving them the "property manager" name, a goat could manage this building better, in fact I'm pretty sure whoever gave them that job title needs to lay off the flat 5 special. The building it'sself is not secure in any way, this is proved by people LIVING UNDER THE STAIRS like a scene out of the borrowers. So we're being told we have to pay MONTHLY to live here when we could live for free??? Spencers clearly not done ANY referencing due to the fact drug dealers and students live here, When we were told it would only be working professionals and families BY the agent who shown us round from Spencers meaning the endless noise complaints and smell complaints we've had to make to the "property managers" and the police. Not to mention getting accosted by bailiffs every single day for another person's issues, the theft of post due to the fact apparently the building has a service where someone comes and signs for parcels if you aren't in and they just LEAVE THEM IN THE HALLWAYS where all the delinquents of the building can get to them. So yeah thanks for that! Wonderful. Which shouldn't be an issue IF SPENCER'S actually checked the people out who they were renting too. Since we took the contract it's been issue after issue after issue not to mention the building isn't even registered as we've struggled to get Internet, council tax, parcels, the lot due to the address not being recognised. I personally believe the cure for cancer would be publicised and Brexit would be over before Countrywide Estate Management and Spencers did anything remotely useful. This review comes after nearly 37 emails requesting someone higher up in the company to complain to but not actually getting any reply back. my position is classed as a social entrepreneur meaning I have a voice that gets heard by ALL businesses including the newspapers, I WILL take action should nothing improve. I'm also starting to believe it won't be a simple leave either considering we haven't received anything to tell us our deposit is protected. They seem like the company who will charge you for the damages you moved in with that were done by their companies.

I had made inquires about a certain property in Leicester that was put up for sale around May 2018. However, I was informed that there were many offers and infact the property had been sold within a week and it had been "sold subject to contract" for the asking price. However, the property was back on the market in October 2018 when I first made contact with Gianfanco Paparozi at the Spencers branch in the town centre. I very quickly realised that I wish I had spoken to Gianfanco in the first place as I found his approach extremely professional as he knew exactly how to provide the top level customer care. Within 10 minutes of meeting up with Gianfanco, I had all the reassurances of my mortgages been dealt with by one of the in-house advisors and all my paper work checked for my offer to be put to the Vendors. Before I left the office Gianfanco had already spoken to the Vendor and reassured me that the property would be sold to me as soon as the mortgage company gave me the go-ahead. At all stages of the negotiations, Gianfranco rang me to brief me about the sale. I have dealt with many Estate Agents in the past - but I found Gianfranco being the most honourable as there were no hidden agendas. I would personally like to Thank Gianfranco for his professionalism and honesty as this put my trust back into young people of his age.
