Maybe under new manager but amazed with negative reviews given excellent service (bikes) over past 12 months or so. You often have to wait a while but otherwise very good and helpful staff.

I'm having to correct my previous positive review with a very negative one. One day after Halford Brixton changed my inner tube (and advised me I didn't need to a new tyre) the inner tube punctured again. This was because I quite clearly needed a new tyre. I went back and they charged me again for another inner tube and the work to change it a second time, then for a new tyre. They did not apologise for the obvious mistake made. A few days later, noticing problems with my lowest gear, and found out my back wheel had not been fitted back on properly and was screwed in slightly out of its holding bracket. This was after several long commutes through London. Not only is this a pretty serious safety risk (if the wheel had come loose) but is incredibly shoddy work in general. I would expect, at the very minimum, for them to check the wheel had been fitted properly before letting me take the bike away and ride it. Infuriatingly bad and dangerous service.

Having recently bought a car i'm very new to the world of Halfords, but I have to say they have been most helpful. Specially Paul (who fits the stereos). He did a fantastic job and gave me some advice about other little issues my car had. Paul was helpful, quick and very experienced in what he does. Hopefully i don't need to go back to often, but its comforting to know they are just down the road and always ready to help :) :) :)

They did a good job of fitting a new stereo to my vehicle. Sadly spoilt when I received a parking charge notice for the time my vehicle was in their car park being worked on. I've amended this review as the store were helpful in trying to sort it out (unlike the car park owners).

Took them one hour to fix a flat, then didn't reconnect the hub gear properly. Also put the wheel on too loose, so the chain came off and messed up my gears again, while cycling in central London. Had to leave my bike at a random shop and pay £20 to get that fixed and a few tube rides to work and back to that shop. Highly recommended for cheap and poor service!

Angus the on Bike Hut was really helpful. I was impressed by work they had done. The only bad thing I would say is that the management believe that it is ok to work short staffed on a busy weekend!

Went to halfords for a wheel down as I was cycling in the area, it was fixed, back home, the same day it was down again. Came the day after, wheel fixed again (for free at least), back home, in the same day it was down again. Bad technical assistance? Bad products quality? Most unfortunate 3 consecutive days of my bike life? I don t know. What I do know is that I won't come back, or recommend it.

I went there several times as it is close to where I live. Majority of the staff there are depressed, you could tell in their faces that they don't like the job. Poor customer service.. Maybe the bosses need to fix up however the stuff they sell is great. I bought many things for my bike and my car.

Paul fitted my stereo a couple of months ago. The service was great but unfortunately there was a slight issue with one of the dials as he had to take the dash off to fit it. After visiting two stores in reading (where I now live) no one would fix it! The Brixton store were great, fixed it in about 15 mins and payed my mileage to drive from reading. They seem to go above and beyond unlike the stores in reading...

The bikes are poor quality and the staff aren't trained sufficiently. My bike tire came loose after one ride and my chain came off and got jammed in the bike frame on several occasions in the middle of the road. Also, when I went to get my bike fixed in the six weeks after its purchase, I logged issues with the chain jamming and the gears being loose. When I went back to collect it, they told me the only thing they did was deflate the tires and loosen the brakes - which were perfect before they touched them. So I'm very unhappy.

Understaffed and so v slow. Harry, one of the members of staff, particularly passive aggressive when queried as to why they have only display items and no actual stock to buy. If you can go to a different shop (i.e. not Halfords) it's worth avoiding the hassle and rude/depressed staff members.

I would like to thank Leon from halfords in Brixton!!! I visited the store after 4pm to purchase a bike for my toddler. I wanted the bike assembled but this seemed unlikely as the store was quite busy. A member of staff went to check and told me it would have to be tomorrow. However i managed to talk to Leon and after a short conversation he told me he would try but couldn't guarantee it as they were busy building bikes at the back for other customers (clever enough to have booked online). He told me to return about 7.30pm. In the end i returned just after 7 and the bike was ready!!! excellent service - thank you Halfords and Leon in particular *****

The staff at the Brixton store are very unhelpful and haven't a clue about customer service, I bought a can of HD Heavy Duty Clear coat paint, its been 3 days now and the paint never hardened I can scratch it off with my finger nails, I went to get a refund and I was told that one cant get a perfect match with paint and thats all they going to say on the matter they are obviously aware of this defective paint and say that to cover their backs I explained to the idiots that its not a colour match issue the paint is defective as it never dries, but they looked totally uninterested not happy at all useless bunch of idiots.

Having read some of the previouse reviews i was a tad sceptical about Purchasing from this particular store but I have to say a big thanks to Dan the duty manager he was fabulous, very approachable and polite he alloud me to test the shop floor bikes to establish the size of frame needed for my height, together we picked out a bike well within my budget an that suited to my needs. THANKS !

Halfords Brixton's bike shop is great. Got my bike serviced here for the 2nd time today under the unbelievably good value annual subscription and my gears (Shimano 105s) are shifting like a dream! All ready for my long ride tomorrow. 2 of the 3 guys working today were staff I'd dealt with last year - always good for a customer to get a familiar face, and they were as good mannered and professional as before. Given the cycling culture in London, Halford's have got it right if they're making a point of investing in their Bike Shop department. And I also bought a bike pump and an air freshener for my car, just incase the price of the annual servicing deal is supposed to promote upsell ;) Thanks, Jonny

I Bought Some Wheel Lockers For My Wheels, I Gave 39.99 For It And The Brand Is Suppost To Be One Of The Best, So I Put Them Myself By Hand And Didnt Use Any Machine Cus It Was Some Advice They Gave Me, After I Put Them On, The Piece Use To Remove Them Was Wracked. So I Went To The Store And The Manager SIMON Indirectly Called Me Stupid, Sayin It Was My Fault That I Didnt Put Them Proprely, Since When U Tell A Customer That He Is Useless. Funny Thing Is, That When I Bought The LOcks I Asked Them To Fit The Locks Them Selves And They Said They couldn't. The Thing Is, Everything That you buy in halfords and its faulty the Manager SIMON will Say THat Is The Customer Fault and NOt Halfords.
