I don't normally write reviews, but I really do owe it to Mario for his out-of-this-world service when I visited this week! Mario guided me through purchasing my first ever road bike for work after my old one had got stolen. He went out of his way to alert staff in the shop to the theft, advised me on the best locks and lights for my budget, and was even honest enough to admit that I'd mistakenly been advised to get a different, too-small bike by another colleague when I'd first visited the shop. I had to order another model into store to pick up a couple of days later, but I trusted the advice I was given and I'm glad I did because my new bike is perfect! Really felt taken care of and will be sure to come back to Mario whenever my bike needs servicing. Thanks so much, and see you soon!

Hands down one of the best Halfords for bike maintenance. I took my bike in as the chain was making some funny noises - the mechanic was more than happy to take a look on the spot and made all the necessary adjustments (even tightening my breaks). After 10 minutes he handed my bike back to me, good to go, and I was in shock that I wasn't being charged. Top notch customer service - really makes you feel like you're in good hands.

Staff arrogant, moody and definitely upset to be working on the weekend. I bought a 400£ bicycle and had problem since collection day. I had to come back twice and tell them I want a refund in order to get the bike fixed. Never shop at halfords again. Bad experience .

Dire. Went in to buy bike lights, tools, a helmet. Hundreds of quid worth. Went upstairs to the bike section in the totally empty store. Couldn't go down stairs to pay as the lights were security locked to the rack. Waited 15 minutes for anybody to turn up to help. Other people came in to the shop also looking to buy stuff. I waved at the woman on the main till. Could hear some people laughing in the back room. Gave up. Left everything on the counter and left. Management need to get a grip on the place. Been trying to buy less from Amazon, went out of my way to go to the store and they just can't be arsed.

Tried to book a slot for the repair of 3 bikes and after 40 min of queuing we were told that they could only book the repair of 2 bikes as the system didn't let them book the third bike in due to social distancing measures. Going to Decathlon!

Great service! Partner had dash cam fitted on cab.
Sean done a great job! Had booked in for front camera & Sean had time to fit a rear one also, all done in 1hour.
Took time to show him how it worked also.
I took mine to Orpington to be fitted & was told when booked it would take a few hours, guy fitted it in 1 hour 20 & just handed me keys not showing how it worked.
Think I will be shopping at Old Kent Road in future. Much better service.
What I did notice was Orpington had it done under a canopy cover that is just outside shop, while old Kent Road didn’t have this. Think they should as if it had been raining he would have been soaked!

Brought by for a service. Checked at that moment including new tires that they would order for appointment the week after, written down my contact details. On arrival week after the same check was done again by the same person. Suddenly way more costs and then they said that they didn't order the tires after all and refused to do a service without new tires. They asked to come back next week assuming that the tires would be in, I asked if they could call/ email me instead when they arrived. Haven't heard from then since, that's 3 months ago.

Received the most excellent customer service from a very knowledgeable employee by the name of Vaidas(I may have spelt his name incorrectly).
Went in to collect a bicycle ordered. It was quite busy near closing time thanks to an extremely unkind customer who was holding things up trying to pull a fast one on Halfords(which was also handled well by mentioned employee).
Despite being past closing time Vaidas still helped every customer in store to an extremely high level of customer service and stayed back well past closing time.
Every store could do with more employees like this guy.

The worst experience of my life. Its been 1hour in the queue with 3 costumers and 3 staff. Basically they do everything from ask for baby's genre, holidays to go out to leave a bicycle and don't come back for more than 20 min.
All of them look stoned. Barely they can move. This shop need to loss a lot of money because of employers like this. I will not recommend to buy even water. Avoid

Here works a Super Man called Mario ... He is kind hearted when you are in despair and doomed after a crank arm broken on my E bike this gentle man went out of his shoes to help me to fix them when every body said its a week time with big big jargons.. He is a true Gem in customer service and looking after people. He made me to reach home safe and helped me to carry my bike downstairs after the service . He has a Golden heart ...highly recommended to lead the whole team with right spirit and make halfords number one on customer service... Halfords Please dont loose this GEM! Thank you Mario

Fantastic service, I had no clue about bikes etc and they really sorted me out! Replaced my bike seat with another I had bought (not from the store), which was so kind and advised me about buying further stuff (a D lock etc). Really kind, useful and friendly service!

So far so good!
Had a bit of a wait when initially buying my bike, however they were very apologetic and it's not their fault a huge amount of families decided to buy bikes at the same time as me.
I have had an issue with my bike and they told me I can bring it in this evening which is super quick. I have spoken to the staff on the phone 3 times and every time they have been very helpful. Personally I think this is a great bike department and they should be proud of themselves.

One star is generous. They contact me offering me a free winter health check so u accept and place my booking. I arrive and the service is slow and late. Everytime I've been in this store there is no avaliable staff to help. It's like they don't value money or custom.
