A couple of weeks ago, I had some of my foreign money (US dollars) converted to British Pound. According to the rules stated on their website- they clearly stated that transactions over £3000 equivalent would require them to capture a Govt. issued photo ID document (fair enough).
However, to my shock in spite of the amount of money I converted being closer to £1000 they asked for an ID which they captured on their computer- I had no choice but to handover my ID as I wanted to sell my US dollars.
My problem is- IF they need to capture photo ID even for significantly less amount than £3000, they MUST clarify this on their website- that's the honorable thing to do of being transparent than mislead customers and then ask to capture their identity for lesser amount.
In response to your reply- Again, your websites does not clarify that you would require "to enter the customer's name and Date of Birth, the easiest and most discreet way to do this is to ask for ID". Many (including myself) may not feel comfortable handing an official document that could be misused.
Its best if you kindly update your website T&C so people are fully aware of the requirements in all scenarios before making a transaction.

Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the gentleman who was helping me, but what excellent service! I arrived after the specified time for reservations, and got my currency the wrong way round, and yet I was met with kindness and patience and managed to exchange my money at a rate which I don't think could be beaten anywhere nearby. It saved me from coming back the next day, and just generally from a lot of hassle. Thanks so much!

Avoid. Just because this branch is on Euston Road it just takes advantage of tourists. I only went in walking by as I assume I would get the same 5 star service I would get in the Tottenham Court Road branch. Got ripped off by over 2% on their Euro rate, thought in trusting the company name but clearly wrong. I strongly avoid not to be ripped off go to the 5 star reviewed Branch at Tottenham Court Road.

Terrible customer service, having waited half an hour and being next customer in line the counter staff announce pre-booked internet transactions only. I missed several trains home whilst they wasted my time. Seriously unimpressed, would not recommend.

I stopped by today to exchange some USA dollars and I was turned down by an arrogant lady that say “we can deal with you as you have given us a bad review” (actually all the review are awful and all are mentioning about rude, impolite and unprofessional employees) well this is my first review and definitely is bad what I am concerning is that this people hold copy of my passport and I do not want to have bad surprises in the future as I recognised that they are very impolite and unprofessional, I think I will report it to the police and I expect my personal details will be completely destroyed and removed from their system I have read also that they provided to a customer fake notes. However, I would like to inform Thomas exchange that customers do not have interest to provide a bad review unless the service was awful like it happened to most of the customers please learn to take it as a chance to improve your service that currently is extremely poor

29.8.2018. The guy at the cashier sold me Turkey Lira in pound at the rate of 6.9. When I returned home did I realize how rediculous it was. The rate is more than 8. I was overcharged more than 100 pound. Worst exchange shop ever!!! Never go there!

I used this place on recommendation to change money and the cashier told me it was a very good rate and couldn't do any better but I walked past 'Kings Cross Currencies' next door and they were much cheaper. I will definitely not be coming back!

Been using this place for years now. I always order online first to get the best rates. I always take my time to check online to see if they are still providing the best rates. Time after time they beat the competition. I have had many different experinces from staff over the years. Some great, some a little more abrupt, once or twice i've had to get their attention. But overall the customer service has been fair. I give it 5 stsrs becuase the location is decent, the rates are awesome, the staff are decent - i always recommend this place to friends or group up our money and go and change it all

Pensez à bien recomptez le change devant le personnel derrière la vitre.
Je me suis rendu compte qu’il me manquait un billet de 20 livres. Lorsque je lui fait la remarque il me dit que je n’ai pas bien regardé et COMME PAR HASARD un billet de 20 livres était posé sur le comptoir. On était 2 et on a bien vu le tour de « passe passe ».
