Have always enjoyed great rates over the years but unfortunately it seems the rates have fallen dramatically with regards to the comparison to real world rate and Thomas Exchange Rate.
I took 12 currencies to be bought back by their Oxford Circus exchange, and found the buyback rates less than ideal.
While I know they need to make a profit, having an average of 22% loss between real rate & store rate seems a tad excessive.
The real rate of my currencies was £407.63, with their buyback offer being £326.74 - a difference of almost £81.
Their customer service has always been top notch, but I would defintey do a walk around central London to make sure you are getting the best rates before using them again.

Great place to exchange money. Best rates I could find in London. Also my case wasn't a very straightforward one, so I needed some advice, and this is where this place really shined. People working here are professional, friendly and very quick to respond. Especially would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Catherine Kelly who was very patient and helpful along all the steps of the way and made the whole process much easier. Thank you!

To be fair, this is a great place to exchange your money you can get a good rate online and it's very easy. This review isn't about the company or the service it provides. The reason for the bad review is the terrible customer service people at the actual store. The young man at the first counter was very rude, abrupt and uninterested and clearly did not want to be there. I suggest you get a different job if you hate it so much.

Ordered Japanese yen a couple of days beforehand, popped into the shop after work showed the email and got the money in less than 5 minutes. Best exchange rate I could find and very efficient staff. Highly recommended.

Get some USD currency after ordering it online for a better rate. Shop is very small, but ample sized for a few people to queue. They require ID if you use a debit card, but nothing if you want cash. Quick trip to the cash machine will speed up your visit!

Incredibly disappointed with the customer service here. I reserved a currency collection via same day bank transfer. I followed all instructions on the website and confirmation email and brought my passport and bank card. When I arrived I was told I needed a proof of address (this is not stated anywhere online or on confirmation email). Consequently I had to run to my bank and get a bank statement. Once i returned with the statement I was again told I needed to go back and get it stamped by the bank (the lady did not mention this even though I specifically asked what I needed from the bank). All in all I was treated incredibly suspiciously. The companies poor communication and instructions led to me wasting over 30 minutes of my time running back and forth from the bank. Will not use again.

Best exchange rates by far. I've used two of the Thomas exchanges now and they are both excellent service and friendly staff. €100 in my bank = £73. €100 in Thomas = £84. No brainier. Go to Thomas for your exchanges.

As frequent travellers we use Thomas Exchange almost from one week to the next and have done so for many years. It appears that they offer the best rates without having to negotiate. The service is quick and pleasant.

A great place for travel money there is usually a wait but don't be put off by the queue it moves quickly and the staff are very efficient. Top tip you can reserve you rate online and then choose to use it or a better rate if they are offering it when you arrive...

I went with 300 dollars to a random office and a crazy guy with a calculator in hand initially offered me 173 pounds.
Here a very pollite woman offered me more than 230. It made me feel in heaven.

Very long queue (31 people) at 2pm today, not sure if it's always this bad a lunchtime, but if it is, a warning to arrive earlier or later would have been good. Half an hour late for an appointment as a result, despite pre-booking my travel money online. Have used TE before, but would be unlikely to use this store again.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon to exchange a small amount of an exotic currency. Was told it could only be done on a weekday without really understanding why. Staff seemed dismissive, saying 'it's on the website'. Can't see any mention on the website myself. I can't go there on a weekday so it was a waste of time.
