They made it look like you’ll get a good rate at 1:30 and then take a handling fee and a service fee of 15%. I wasn’t told of any commission. I don’t see how they allow this kind of daylight robbery in London. This is my first experience like this and I have been to London countless of time. I will spread this scam all over the internet as it’s the same practice in all of there office.
After I made the transaction I went to another change office
50m away and they told me directly they have no commission. They would have given me £100 more for the €500 I changed.
All these good reviews must be fake. No way someone would be happy with this service.

This is absolutely outrageously disturbing. It is unbelievable that this dishonest and scheming place still exists. This fraudulent business charges a whopping preposterous 15% service charge, an undeniable daylight robbery scam. The aforementioned business is taking advantage of vulnerable tourists who are in desperate need of cash. The exterior of the store had a sign “无兑换手续费” which connotes “no service charge”. This is a blatant lie. I was hoping to exchange 600 euros for around 500 sterling. Alas, when they handed me the money, it was a shocking sum of 340 sterling. This is the only money exchanger which I have encountered, that does not tell you the exchange rates prior, and simply points to a small sheet of paper consisting of all the exchange rates. The service which I have experienced was certainly unpleasant and and undoubtedly, worth much less than 15% service charge. Thou will not be pleased with this place, do stay clear.

This is a scam exchange. They charged a 15% fee from the amount you are supposed to receive. How is it possible that the Government or Police allow such things to happen in the street of London? This gives a super bad impression to tourists. The positive reviews are fakes. Don’t fall for it.
Police Report has been filed. Why file Police Report? Wow, if this is not daylight licensed robbery, I don’t know what is this? Shame for such things to be happening at the busy streets of London with so many people falling for it.

DANGER!! SCAMMERS!! BE CAREFUL! DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!! I can not give them less stars. They take your money before telling you the exchange rate, then they charge you a 15% COMMISION + 2 Pounds commision. Then there is no way back. DISGUSTING STAFF TRYING TO SCAM TOURISTS.

The best money exchange in London!!! The staff is exceptional and they provided with a very good experience, not only professional, they also know how to make you laugh while doing their job in a way you rarely see. Also, another thing, some of the managers were there while I was changing which shows they are really keen in seeing how the business is going and they care about the staff and are there to help them at every step if needed. Keep up the good work guys!

DO NOT change your money there.
We came straight to our airbnb close to this exchange and had no internet/wifi access to check rates and compare.
We were desperate and had to change some money immediately so we changed euro to pound with the rate of 1.4
Turned out the rate today was 1.2 and we felt so scammed.
For shame! This was our student savings

They charged service fee and handling fee separately. Basically charge you twice for the same thing. Don’t be fool by their exchange rate, with the extra fee deducted, it’s quite low that you get in return.

I feel so stupid for going to that place, I wish there was a negative star to rate! Whatever you do , do not exchange your money there. You will pay a service fee of 15% on top of the very expensive exchange rate. It is not exchange, it is robbery, I can't describe it any other way, I mean everyone is taking commissions but that is not commission. Stay Away, in the receipt they are saying, thank you for your custom, We look forward to seeing you again, who would ever go there again?

After trying to charge me commission fee without explaining it’s optional. I did a quick check online and found my bank had a far better rate. The gentleman explained it was too late to get my money back as they had “begun” the transaction, despite having not signed the transaction document. He refused to return my money and that unless I signed it, I would not get my money back or the currency changed. I argued for 20mins and unfortunately was left with no choice but to proceed. An absolute joke of a business, and I suspect completely illegal in their approach. STAY WELL CLEAR

DO NOT USE THE ATM/BANCOMAT OUTSIDE THIS BUSINESS. I withdrew 40 GBP. With 5% transaction fee, and about ~ 1.25 USD to GBP conversion, I should have ended up with about a $53 transaction. My card was charged $185! There was no offer of a receipt. I should have known better than to use an ATM outside a currency exchange where a ripoff may be expected, but even this is over the top.

Not sure if money is inherently evil, but i can tell you that this place is... you exchange expecting that you will be given information about the transaction and service, but instead are handed the money with all the fees and services, and explained to that it is final and that you should have asked for the information that they are responsible for giving! Awful place, I'm sorry for those who agree to work with such policies and practices!

I tried to exchange 3000czk to gbp and the lady offered me a ridiculously low rate of around £75 and she said it's low because the currency is "unpopular" etc. I think she probably assumed I was some dumb, gullible tourist that could easily be scammed. I got irritated and left and walked an extra 10 minutes to another currency exchange place in Oxford Circus and ended up getting £98 for 3000czk instead. Idk about you but a difference of £23 is pretty drastic. Shame on these people.

Please be aware: daylight robbery!
Do not exchange your money in a "The Change Group" shop.
I exchanged €100 (the day's rate was €100=£88) and, while I was obviously expecting to be charged a commission, I would've never thought to be robbed. I eventually got £54.03!
I immediately asked explanation to the lady in the shop and she became very rude and raised her voice (feeling guilty perhaps?) telling me that there was a 12.5% (yes, twelve and a half per cent!) service fee and £1 handling fee, and on top of that as it was 31st May bank holiday I had to expect to be charged even more!
I could not do much more as she was behind her window ignoring me and not asnwering my questions any longer...
So please do not go to this agency as they literally stole from me £34

The rob you on hidden 15% despite high rate. It is written by small print under rates and they will not tel you about. They will not cancel the transactio as well. For 1900 euros i got 1130 with their rate of 1.42, when the rate is 1.13. Avoid at all costs
