The staff is very nice and knows where to find whatever you are looking for. On the other hand, I experienced some not-so-amusing things with the "cheaper" make up brands (everything that is not Chanel, Lancome, ...): the testers were often very damaged and smeared everywhere. This is the only negative thing I have to say about this place, the cashiers are very polite and relaxed.

The only thing that could make a good business is people with experience, I have been to Boots today and got a perfume for my son. I have been there many times and bought perfumes but Martin on fragrance was the only one who served me with patience and kindness.

Boots in Oxford city centre is very good. Well laid out and good selection of products. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not sure if 2 lifts available but the 1 I went to use was out of order.

Boots to me is a pop-in store, used it for years and know what I want when I go in. What I DONT want is 6 assistants in less than 5 minutes of looking for a mascara asking if I need help! One even came back twice! I walked out without buying and popped into Superdrug. Not sure the management policy is for assistants in this store but they all looked scared to death to stand still!

Large, conveniently-central branch of this chain store. Good range of products. Knowledgeable staff at well-stocked pharmacy. Reasonable lunchtime "meal deal". Lunchtime queues are often long, even for self-checkouts.

Boots is great and the one star is for the poor passport/visa photo booth inside Boots. The photos are of poor quality, dark on the face and have a round shadow around the head. Avoid this photo booth if you're looking to take some official photos for your passport, visa or driving license.

I like the addition of the Fenty counter and I hope that in the future it stocks morphe ???? but I find that there's not always a huge amount of stock, for example the stila liquid shadows are always a bit sparse! But a nice boots all the same, especially at Christmas time.
