Brilliant evening sharing good wine and nibbles, just lovely after lockdown and the team there are great, very informed about both their cheese and the wine ????????

As soon as you step in here, you feel transported to another world! The staff are friendly, the wine is delightful and the cheeseboard is the icing on the cake. It is really small though so be prepared to stand.

A great place to sit and admire Leadenhall Market with a well selected cheeseboard and some wine. Or port.

What a wonderful evening! Fantastic cheese and we'll chosen accompanying wines. Needs a couple of hours and I challenge you not to buy some samples to take home. Sue was a delight and her colleagues are equally as helpful and knowledgeable. We are definitely going back

English arrogance at its best I arrived alone a lady just wanting to stop by before I went to the theatre I had seen some friends had been last week so thought I would try too.I arrived at 11.30am and was told they were busy although no one was in there and did I not book I replied no but I only want a small cheese platter and a glass of wine I was told I could sit on the stools inside which I was happy with the manager seemed very rude and arrogant he said they don't serve till 12oclock but he could get me a drink I replied I don't want hot food just a small 3 cheese platter he said what wine do you want and pointed to about 100 bottles of wine no wine list was given to me I said do they vary in price he said yes so I replied just the cheapest one which I knew was around 7.50 a small glass as I checked online the night before he then pulled a face and gave me a glass of small red wine and said do you mind biscuits as the bread isn't ready I said no I will wait for the bread thanks he wasn't happy with that I felt like I wasn't wanted there .I then was left sitting there and asked another tall guy who was also rude to me can I have the wine list he gave me a dirty look and handed me one once the food arrived it was very nice and I got speaking to 2 females that worked there they was so nice and made me feel at ease so thank god for them I was going to buy 2 vouchers for a friends 50th birthday he would like this place but I have been put off by bad management and rude male staff I would recommend to friends but be warned steer clear of the 2 men that are on the shop floor one is the manager one behind bar horrible service indeed just get the lovely ladies to serve you.

Really pleasant experience. We had vouchers for the wine & cheese tasting. its very informal and they leave you to enjoy wine/cheese after a brief intro. we had a slight problem which they sorted very quickly and apologised with some comp gifts. recommend.

I have just received my Christmas Star package and I am delighted with it. The service was 1st class and personal and I am looking forward to giving it to my daughter and her partner at Christmas. I am sure they will enjoy their tasting experience.

Stopped by for a "small" cheese plate and some early afternoon wine. Was treated to a generous selection of meats and cheeses for only £10, and a spot-on wine recommendation. Can't recommend this place enough – and even better, it's in a beautiful location inside the Leadenhall market. A great spot to read and people watch for an hour.

I confess I know nothing about cheese or wine. I was dragged in by a Canadian friend, and I did feel a bit out of place. But, I enjoyed what was selected by my buddy and its in a lovely location. Sadly it's also the place where I discovered that Goats cheese doesn't get along with me and I came up with hives on the way home.

Had an amazing evening. When they say generous wine tasters, they mean it.

Great location, friendly service, and lovely selection of cheeses to eat in or take away. Prosciutto also on the menu. It is so nice to sit "outdoors" in this historic market and people watch. It's not a cheap stop - glass of wine and 3 small pieces of cheese came up to £20+ I will try Viandes next door next time, their selections looked fab too. Probably be back, despite not so generous serves and prices, because of the location and history.

Good cheese selection. Staff are fairly knowledgeable and offer good recommendations based on what you’re looking for - e.g. which cheese goes best with what you’re having for dinner etc

Excellent cheese and wine tasting afternoon. Great to try one or two cheeses we'd not had before along with some very good wines. Recommend that you pop in and see for yourself -

Took the 5 cheese selection and wine. Very tasty but small portions. Keep in mind that the menu does not say what cheeses are included, so be sure to ask before getting one you don't like.

Had a brilliant cheese & wine Tasting Experience at Cheese at Leadenhall! All the cheeses & wine were delicious, not to mention being personally guided through each by their owner and resident sommelier. Really enjoyable experience, would really recommend!

Did the Ultimate Cheese and Wine tasting. 10 cheeses between two of us! And they ask what you preferences and dislikes are before they serve you. VG.

I was here for the love of cheese! at a private function which was held at this fabulous bar/cafe hidden away in the middle of Leadenhall Market. Itself hidden away right smack in the middle of the square mile. The perfect place for a little fresh air cheese and wine tasting on a summer's evening. The atmosphere added by the Market itself adds to the experience of visiting Cheese. Excellent attentive service by the staff.

Went here on a date night with my partner, with the cheese tour for your voucher. If you're a cheese fan, it won't disappoint. It's great value for money and the selection of cheeses is amazing. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, would highly recommend.

Fabulous wine and cheese restaurant. Some of the best cheeses to be found in the City. Limited but fine menu as well.

I went to Cheese at Leadenhall for a private event, and I'm already planning my next visit. The shop sells a decent range of cheeses, all reasonably priced, as well as charcuterie boards and wine. Everywhere in Leadenhall Market is gorgeous, but if you don't fancy the pub or Pizza Express, this is the place to go. Staff are more than happy to talk through recommendations if you're stuck, and I hear they do great tasting events too.

What a fantastic little shop-cum-bar this place is. Leadenhall Market is a very attractive part of the City at any time and Cheese fits right into this. The to-the-point name doesn't perhaps tell the joys of this friendly establishment. The range of cheeses is seriously impressive and staff are on hand to guide you through. The range of goat cheese stands out, as do the blue cheeses. You'll need to invest in some crackers on the way home if you stop here after work. Even more impressive, though, is their selection of wines, available to buy or drink in. Matching perfectly with the cheese, there's a wonderful range that's well worth taking the time to explore. With cheese tasting events (plus cold meats), Cheese is a gem of a place that's well worth a visit to if you find yourself around London's financial hub.

Ended up at Cheese at Leadenhall Market at the end of the Google Cheese Walk in association the very informative Henry and Matt (supported by photographer Georgie and cheese preparation by Lydia) from Curiocity Magazine. Enjoyed a lovely selection of charcuterie boards with a Chilean red and a wonderfully refreshing, light citrus white wine Picpoul de Pinet from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. The evening was concluded with a fun quiz of cheese facts and blind cheese tastings. Wonderful selection of cheese and wine can be enjoyed at Cheese in historic surroundings, as well as attentive and knowledgeable service.
