Have been using this Autocentre ever since I moved here a few years ago, as they are so friendly and do a good job with my car every time. Good service even when doing the free checks and always a friendly attitude at the desk when picking up the car. One thing that would be even better if they could install a key drop box as the Halfords store next door are now saying they will no longer accept car keys dropped to their store cashdesk after Autocentre closing hours (understandable as they can't take responsibility for them). That would be the only thing that would mean I would have to start using a garage closer to my work.

If you've ever tried to get a car re-gassed with "new gas" (the environment-friendly aircon gas) you'll know it's hard to find somewhere that will do it, let alone somewhere that was (I kid you not) £100 cheaper than the highest quote I got. Staff were efficient and professional and I will be going there again.

My regular go to. After having some serious issues with a different branch of Halfords Auto, I switched to Shoreham and what a difference it made - literally night and day, as the old saying goes ! The manager there ( Jason ) is a lovely bloke who goes out of his way for customers - always willing to try and entertain any requests even at short notice. The cherry on the cake is he sorts you a very good price ????

Jason and his team have come up trumps again! First time they did a good job and I was happy with the service, but I had a break test done which I didn't feel necessary this time. Jason not only listened to what I asked, but also reassured me with helpful information concerning the break test. He then went on to diagnose a potential oil over fill in my engine (made by previous owner), remove the overfill and didn't charge me a penny!! I would have given him a tip, but I didn't have any cash on me. Just to add to his already splendid service, he went on to inform me of the £10 MOT deal they have on at the moment to increase customer liaisons and build a more solid, lifelong relationship.. well, he has convinced me enough to take them on in that respect. Had a free MOT as part of a marketing deal, no issues, car passed MOT. 2 weeks later I booked a major service as 2 years since my car's last service. All fine, they gave me advice on a tyre with a bit of wear left. Took my car in early morning midweek and it was ready by midday.
Based on this experience I'm very satisfied. Helpful to book online, good communication, friendly staff and convenient location. Felt the price was good compared to dealership.

Ordered a wiper blade on click and collect.
Joined the queue with only 5 people before me but still had to wait for nearly 30mins. No dedicated click and collect so people in front of me who had NOT ordered click and collect Occupied the one girl on the desk who was going backward and forward Looking for them.
A second till adjacent was not being used!!!

Purchased a bike for my daughter via there website. When I get there to collect they tell me they can't for fill my order as the "system" sold me the display bike this was frustrating but they were very officiant at arranging the order of another bike to the store. System/website is the issue not the store.

Just noticed an advisory appears on the MOT I had done at Halfords 2 days ago: 'slight oil leak from engine and gearbox oil sump pans'.I went outside to look at my drive and there is not the slightest speck of oil anywhere. I phoned Halfords to be told ' no it wasn't a leak, it was oil residue on the underside of the pans, it might have been left from some slight overflow when last filled up with oil.' (Actually it was last filled up with oil by the same Halfords Garage in a full service 2 months ago). I pointed out that the word 'leak' therefore was incorrect - my concern being that as I expect to change the car later in the year, a lot of buyers would be put off at the thought of the car 'leaking' onto their drive each day. The response I got was that he didn't think that would be the case. I leave it to the reader to decide... I certainly would!
I was then told that for £49.50, I could bring the car back and this would start the process of reviewing the matter. But how crazy is that... as we'd just both agreed there wasn't a leak.
I have 3 vehicles and have been bringing them to Halfords for years and been happy with their service . I've encouraged family and friends likewise. Why therefore do they then go out of their way to loose custom by putting an incorrect and misleading advisory on the MOT that is sure to put off any potential buyer of my car? It wasn't even mentioned when they phoned through various minor items (all of which I told them to go ahead with). If I'd been told there were oil leaks there's no way I'd have ignored them!
So Halfords, whilst you would expect to loose customers who were NOT happy with your services, why go out of your way to get rid of HAPPY customers by putting incorrect and misleading advisories on MOT's that would seriously put off potential buyers?
I (and probably my family and friends) will have to search again for a garage one can trust.

I have used Halfords in shoreham a couple of times, and every time the Manager Jason has gone out of his way to help me out, extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, didn't push for a sale but was able to let me know my options and payment methods i could of used. And for this reason i will be coming back again. :)

Visited Halfords Auto centre to ask about a tyre we were concerned about. They fully inspected all the tyres ( & I do mean fully). The advised about one that would shortly need replacing. Gave a good price that matched competitors on-line price plus a good deal on tracking being sorted. helpful & polite staff , what is not to like!

An absolutely disgraceful service!
I have just collected my car which I left with Halfords on Friday morning for a service and MOT.
The trip computer was not reset and they still couldn't manage to fix it after 30 minutes of trying while I waited. So I have no radio or satnav until I go back.
The washer fluid level light is on.
And the one touch window close is also not working anymore.
I would expect better from a back street garage.
