Have been coming here for years. Don't understand why anyone would take their car to a place that does both MOTs and repairs, for the obvious reason.
Was able to get my car in for its MOT a little earlier than scheduled, as arrived a little early, which was perfect. Was in and out within half an hour.
Yes, the price is a little more than some of the garages that offer repairs, but I would rather pay a few quid extra for the MOT than be told I need to do repairs by a garage that has vested interests.

Recently had an MOT with this lot. They said our electric handbrake was faulty and needed to go to Peugeot to get it fixed. Just heard back from Peugeot: nothing wrong with it. But there was a 'very dangerous' twisted brake hose caused by contact with the near side wheel arch. How do you miss that, MOTest?

Booked in for my first MOT test in the area after a being recommended. Amazing service, very informative and after a minor mishap from myself they were very understanding. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough! I’ll be using them for every future MOT test!

Hi I had mot Tuesday 8am person told me that one of colleague is late need to be rebooked for next day ok happens , next day I came did failed because there was some issues which HAVE been fixed and then following day there been differnt person and been told I needed change mine headlamp as it's not straight line so when back to mine mechanic he did adjusted as this headlamp you can manually adjust .So he said there shouldn't be problem but been told wasnt done even I did watch my self how he did put it to straight line on white wall I really never had problem with headlamp ever before this car done lots MOT !!! Never ever going waste 4 mornings and money with this company .

Since moving from the city of car manufacturing, Birmingham, where competition is fierce & experience plentiful, I've had some interesting quotes and experiences with garages in the South East and so set about trying a few garages and speaking to mechanics. Early on, I was steered the way of MOTEST Hove for my MOT's and have been using them ever since, even getting some work done when I had an MOT fail. They are honest, fair priced, polite and local people just trying to do a good job. I wholeheartedly recommend them, even to the point of trusting them to do work I might sometimes do myself to save some money, like brakes.
They are usually quite busy, so can't always see you immediately (they have on a few occasions) but they're well worth a visit, even if they only do limited repairs. You'd be man not to check them out for your MOTs, plus there's a chippy and sea view nearby while you wait!

Absolutely awful experience
Took me 3 times to appear to do this test in hove branch
On first attempt I been late 4min exactly so Paul as I believe said he cannot let mw in as I'm to late
Get there next week and test been fail because of rear fog light as didn't work
They couldn't change the bulb as said.is to much work to do( I change this bulb by myself took me 2minutes without proper knowledge)
Is just bloody joke
So overall took me 3 attempts to make that test
Customer service which Paul providing there is awful and disrespect for me also for other customers which I saw
Never gonna appear there again

First time I'd used this place. I went on recommendation from a colleague as I needed something booked quick, as my MOT was overdue. I got an appointment booked in, via their easy to use website. (it was the last appointment they had available). They carried out the MOT in the specified time with no issues.

They have two jobs. 1). Book a vehicle in for an agreed date/time and 2). Carry out an MOT Test. Problem is, without job number one being effectively accomplished, you're stuffed with job number two. A date/time was arranged over the phone (because their website doesn't seem to like vans!), I turned up 15 minutes early only to be told that the time entered in their diary was in fact 15 minutes earlier. They couldn't fit me in again until 2 days later. Splendid! My advice would be, if you can't book via their website, go elsewhere...

These guys are fantastic. Haven't taken a car anywhere else for years. It's nice to be able to trust the fact that they are only interested in your test. No thinking "have they just failed that to get the work". Quick and easy service, I got booked in at 2 days notice, the test was started and finished exactly when I was told it would be, as always!

Had such a good experience there yesterday. My car failed but the tester could not have been more helpful, going through what needed sorting, giving me an idea of what I should expect to pay to get it fixed and how long a garage should take to fix it. This means I can go to get it fixed confident that I won't get ripped off. Thank you so much!!

Used them last year for Our other car, and they are very simple and straightforward - and as they don't do any repair work, they have no incentive to fail in order to earn money from things they "find" wrong in the test...

Not a helpful business, they seem to take a dislike to me for some reason.
By the end of the day I had a pass certificate with no advisories from another MOT station.
This is a fickle business. That don’t like non conventional people. In Brighton!
