I took my car here due to an alternator issue and we had an alternator replacement booked.
While working on the car they noticed the issue seemed to be in the electrics instead and would need a specialist to have a look at it. They didn’t charge me for their time and helped by giving contacts to a few places that would be able to help. Honest and friendly service throughout, will definitely be going back to them!

Car working fine until the day following MOT here developed a fault which they denied responsibility for, charged me for and the rude guy with the tattoos called me “stupid”. Similar problem the previous year developing a fault shortly after seeing them in an otherwise highly reliable car. Won’t ever go here again. Also booked a service over the phone that they didn't perform. Unreliable and suspect.

The guys that run Howard Motors, are great. Really friendly and very professional. They service 3 vehicles for us, and have always been honest and trustworthy. They are happy to provide advice, and have always looked for the most cost effective way to solve an issue. If you need a good garage I'd really recommend them

Tucked away, but still central and easy to get to, this garage has got to be the best in brighton. super friendly and helpful, always happy to help in an emergency (like replacing my dead battery at literally zero notice!) pricing is fair, not the cheapest, but certainly by experience you get what you pay for - in this case a fair notch above average at reasonable prices. parking is awkward in any part of brighton, but they manage to squeeze them in, and turn them around quickly - i think they like to get things collected as soon as work is completed to free up space - but that is good for you and them.
Thoroughly recommended.

Do NOT use this garage. They can only change oil, oil filters. I took my Fiesta 1.4 CDTI for repair. They had it a week and charged my £300. They fault was not rectified and it went back. They had it a further week and still they could not repair it. THEY took it to another garage who repaired in in 2 days. This repair cost me a further £500. Howard Motors have not responded to a letter asking for a refund. They did not repair my car and the only positive thing they did was to take it to somebody who could repair it. The problem was a faulty injector.

This garage is scared in getting their hand dirty, instead of being called "howard motors" it should be "coward motors" They tried to charge us
for having a look at our car and couldent even tell us what the problem was. They told us to go else where as our cars were "modified".
All they can do is service cars and replace parts which they rip you of for, no wonder they have spaces for the next day.
The old man behind the counter who does the prices is very negative and obviously dosent want our business.
Thats the last time i ever go near your garage.
