i just move in Brighton and these guys are very helpful they explain everything to me and showed me the old parts. which i think its a great way to deal with the customers and the manager is a very helpful guy. great job as long as i know. will tell my friends for sure

Chose to get my car MOT'd here after reading the many positive reviews. The staff in the garage are very nice and polite. My car failed the MOT with the garage assuming I would get the parts changed by them but took it to another mechanic to have a look and they said it was absolutely fine. Booked in for MOT at council place in Lancing and passed no problem. I'm sure their work is good enough and they are polite but like many garages will try to squeeze as much out of you as they can if they don't know you well. When I went back to ask them to show me under the car what's wrong with the parts they were of course speechless.

Brighton MOT Centre, did a service and MOT for me, they were really quick, really honest and really helpful. They even advised me that the previous advice i had been given about my tires was incorrect, that they didnt need to be replaced and were still in good condition. So pleased to have found a good garage that i feel i can trust!

Never had a problem. Today I had an ABS light on dash. Ran it into Alman early this morning. He told me what the problem was instantly. Kept car. By lunchtime Alman called to say it’s fixed and ready for collection. Being a woman and previously ripped off by a garage, it’s nice to be able to trust the guys here. Top service.

Absolutely shocking workmanship, took advantage of a young lad working away trying to earn a living, charged £216 to supply and fit a new drive shaft to a vw caddy, yes work was done but incorrectly, fitted the driveshaft without putting grease in the inner cv joint, now has cause a whole lot more damage, rung the garage and was told to drive back to Brighton from Cardiff to replace the driveshaft, can't hold his hands up and admit they are at fault, if it was a sealed shaft I would go to supplier but vw shafts bolt to the gearbox flange and you are required to grease with supplied grease, terrible service, takes advantage and shocking workmanship, even a basic mechanic would know metal to metal parts need some sort of lubrication.
To your response, of course I will drive a broken van 4 hours for you to look at it, you was absolute no help whatsoever over the phone no understanding of distance, as I said over the phone vw provide grease with there driveshafts for a reason, cause the gearbox side is open ended until you bolt it to the flange, that's where the grease goes for future reference, you say 20 odd years experience or your garage has been open for that long yet you have no customer service skills at all, I now have the task of sorting out your terrible workmanship, your attitude was stinking over the phone and I will be honest yeah I was aggressive over the phone, the concept of Cardiff to Brighton didn't even enter your head. I am really glad you ain't my local garage, shocking that basic simple tasks can't be carried out correctly, you told me you buy the part and fit it to the vehicle, with no grease, that's like buying a radiator fitting it and not putting coolant in there cause it didn't come with the radiator.

Overcharged for cost of service by £30 (online claims to have deal, but did not apply it irl)
Passed my MOT second time but DID NOT fix one of the original 'major defect' failures.
Had advisory for oil leak that didn't exist until after the MOT occurred.
Would not recommend.

What a great find this garage is! My MOT was done in 45 minutes, as they said, and they fixed a problem with water not draining away, showing me photos of the dismantled parts so I could see the work done. I then booked a full service which was also carried out efficiently. Thank you so much!

Took my car here for its usual MOT. Car had a few problems but this garage fixed them all for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately there was an issue when I went to collect however they repaired this at just part cost with no extra labour. Really friendly guys, clearly know what they are doing and I appreciate how quickly this was all turned around as well! Despite the unfortunately issue (which could've happened anywhere), this is probably the best garage I have been to in my driving years!

A student living in the city I normally get my car MOT'd at home but I wouldn't male it back on time and I had also aqquired a flat tyre.
About an hour after dropping my 2003 fiesta I got a call saying all it needed was a brake light bulb and it had passed it's MOT. As for the flat it was a buckled rim which apparently is not good news. However they were super helpful about getting a replacement one, getting me pick one up myself from a scrap yard which was the cheapest option. The mechanic explained that it was as easy as changing a tyre but any trouble just bring it back and they'll fit it for me.
A couple hours later, a phone call from a paranoid father about getting me to change my own tyre i rang the garage and they fitted the tyre for me for no extra charge.
Really great service and lovely mechanic, would definatly recommend.

Genuine mechanics.. I've been using this place to service and mot my car for about five years now. They are honest, helpful and very upfront, their prices are fair and their work is very good. Only down side is its a sharp right turn into the garage on quite a busy stretch of road.

I’d highly recommend this garage. I took my car in for a free diagnosis and they called back an hour later stating the issue and a quote for the repairs.
I feel like I can trust these guys as they explained the problem carefully. Admittedly I’m unsure if the cost was reasonable as I didn’t have the issue checked elsewhere.
When picking the car up a mechanic showed me the old parts and told me what work had been done.
He recommended some more work was needed as a previous garage had done a poor job whilst fitting the ball joints. He emphasised they don’t cut corners at this garage. I appreciated the honesty and care for my safety on the road.
I’ll be using this garage again and would recommend.

Great experience for the last 2years getting my mot done here. This year took a friend who's mot was also due, booked the day before, both cars done in great time. I needed my side repeaters replaced, both done in 10mins for 10quid. Very honest and speedy mechanics, I'd highly recommend!

AVOID THIS DODGY COMPANY:
I went there for the MOT, they said my car MOT is failed and the repair cost is £385 as it is DANGEROUS to drive, I asked them to carry on and repair it, next day I got my car back but I felt something wrong while driving, I returned back to them but they were very rude without explaination.
I went to another garage, and the mechanic said the repair wasn`t necessary and they replaced the old part with another one but smaller, which is require another replacement, I paid extra £120 to have the job done.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them to any one, I will not be returning and will make sure no one of my friends will go there.

Took my car in because of over heating..they said they will look at it no charge!!! But charged me £80 at the end and shoved the money in the draw and gave me no receipt.. Then said come back in 1 hour and tell you what's wrong with it ..then they said it's your head gasket has gone and it will cost around £1.200 but for you £1000 it will take 2 x days..said I will get back to you..
So took it to my regular mechanic and cost me £200 and the gasket was perfect as it has low milage..
I felt like a woman on her own in the garage and let's rip her off.. will never go there again!!!!!

I was completely RIPPED OFF when bringing my car to this test centre. I am a young female student and when they saw this they decided to take complete advantage. They told me my MOT failed and would cost £400 to repair and stated stupid things on the Gov website such as wrong colour indicator lights when they have been the correct colour for the 5 years that I've had the car. I WAS OUTRAGED!! When explaining what was wrong with MY car they refused to look me in the eyes as I "wouldn't get it" so explained the faults to my partner instead. COMPLETELY SEXIST as even a child would understand the claim that my indicator lights were wrong. They then charged me £50 for the MOT anyway, but when taking my car to a more reputable company, I was charged £100 for the faults. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company, especially if you are female because they will for a fact try and squeeze every last penny out of you. I will NOT be returning and will NOT be recommending to anyone else. I would give no stars if it were an option.

I went to get my MOT done here, I was told to come back in an hour. On my return I was told my car did not pass MOT, and to get everything fixed would cost me £268.00. That is to change my break discs, front lamps, to add some windscreen washer (which I am more than capable adding myself) and to adjust exhaust system to "adequately support the front ". Now what they did not know is that my dad is a mechanic (based in London) who owes his own garage and seeing me as a female who is "clueless" about cars, they thought they could overcharge me ridiculously. I called another garage, who fixed everything and the overall bill ended up being more than half price. Do not go here if you are clueless about cars, or do not have anyone who can help you determine the appropriate price for the jobs that are needed to be done to your car. I definitely will not be going back there again.

Avoid and don’t waste your time. Booked online, have booking confirmation, drove an hour, get there 10 minutes early, only to be told they decided to take another booking from someone that has phoned instead of booked online.. no apology, I fact I was told it was my problem. Awful people, awful place, it’s a matter of time before places like this go out of existence thankfully.
