Absolutely terrible service! Appalling attitude! Fitted incorrect part and charged an extortionate amount. Now refuses to rectify the issue. Charged twice for an MOT. And never gave a price until all works were done.....giving such a ridiculous bill at the end! Avoid at all costs!

One of the staff was really moody, did an expencive job on the car, took ages, said they would call back, didn't, only after hassling lots finally got a realistic timeframe and the job done to find that he broke the abs cables, so the breaks would come on randomly, took it back and got the job finished by more friendlier staff with assurances that it was mot ready, its been a few months but car needs so much work just for the mot. & they put the wrong colour on both break lights when only one had gone.

Ok, this is the first time I used Brighton Mots,
And the experience was less than thrilling.
Booked in for 12, arrived at 12.
Was told we will call you when done...
The job was a minor fix of lights, CV boot to get it through mot.
Job was done after 4 n half hours of waiting in cold.
Place was run down and the equipment was clunking and screeching.
A dirty chair to wait in the office of oil and paper..
......

Really pleased with the service here.
I asked around for recommendations and Brighton MOT centre is a name that popped up a lot, so I booked in with them.
The MOT centre is family run, a father and son and they were fantastic. Sounds silly but I was a bit nervous as I'm a new driver, know absolutely nothing about cars and was worried that I was going to get completely ripped off. I didn't! I left my car with them and they phoned me within 45 minutes to let me know my car was ready to collect.
Fortuntely, my car passed, and the guys fixed a couple of niggles with my car too, all for the princely sum of £40.
I'd recommend Brighton MOT centre without hesitation.

The staff were completely incompetent in my experience. Went for my first mot but the garage couldn’t do it as they couldn’t find an mot record on the DVLA website. After implying that perhaps the car wasn’t registered to me (??) and me having to make two phone calls to the DVSA, it turned out they just needed to make a new record. They also advised me that as the car was only 3 years old, I didn’t need to get an mot for another year! Rather than explain to them how to do their jobs or how the law works, I went to the garage next door who were so friendly and helpful and professional. Turns out the best thing about this garage is they are next door to Grove garage. They should probably train their staff better as it’s not fair to anyone involved. Huge waste of time!

Terrible service! Quoted one price and then charged over 4 times as much without prior consultation as promised. He originally tried to charge 5 x as much but I corrected his bill. A new problem also arose with car same day after repair and when I rang to complain he said it was due to 'cold weather' and I'd have to pay for new belt - turned out he had left a cable hanging out which was causing the problem! No apology given. DO NOT GO HERE!
