I asked the Velosport service team to take a look at my son’s bike where the brakes were rubbing on the rim. They told me to bring the bike in at my convenience, which I did. They took a look, fixed it and returned it to me very quickly. Great job. Highly recommend Velosport and Junior in particular for his help.

Had a fall and my bike chain snapped. Luckily I wasn’t far from Velosport. The staff were all very efficient and friendly and Luke installed a new chain in minutes. I will definitely return here

I left my bike to replace fork, as a part of safety recall by cannonade. They replaced it in a reasonable time which is a plus - and the fork itself looks mounted correctly. However I'm not happy with the quality of the job - the front brake wire was left unsecured and incorrectly placed. The new fork as 2 points to attach it - I asked the guy what about it and he said it's how it's supposed to be. I pointed my finger to two mounting points saying that I think the wire is supposed to be here - now he said that they ran out of the the zip ties. Fair but I noticed that the cable is on the wrong side of the fork and the housing is too long. He insisted that everything is ok, clearly wanting to get rid of me.
So at home I had to finish it by myself - fix the placement and shorten the housing.
I attach photos as a proof, judge by yourself.

While I have no complaints about the service they provide, staff is quite rude. I don't intend to keep going there. I went to the shop on Sunday 25 April and they were vague and disinterested in taking my questions seriously. I left my bike there for a puncture repair, they told me they'd call me when the job was done but never did. I waited for 1h30 across the street only to find out my bike had been ready for ages and they never let me know. This was the fourth time this happened to me at Velosport, so evidently their policy is not to call customers.
Additionally, staff was not following restriction guidelines. They were not wearing masks, did not keep a safe distance from customers, and handed in a shareable pen for customers to write their phone numbers. If anyone in the store was infected, they clearly had no measures to prevent further contamination.
I was a regular customer, but will find myself a new shop in the area when needed.

I popped in looking for an odd sized seat post clamp for my hard tail MTB. He had a hunt around and found something suitable. Told me to try it without paying and bring it back/ pay later after trying it for size. Really good of him to do this.

I use a wheelchair and the footplate had become locked at an unhelpful angle. I called Velosport and Mervyn got me booked in ASAP, recognising it was important I could get my mobility back. He and Will quickly got to work and were able to sort out the footplate in a few mins. They were both really helpful. Mervyn also helped to get a new security chain to keep my wheelchair safe. I throughly recommend the team at Velosport.

Been a few times with silly little things that i can't do. Never a problem. Polite staff and always helpful and i think honest. Recent repair on brakes way cheaper then a local quote which was a minimum charge. Very happy. I come here despite living in Kingston as the service is so good.

This is my local bike shop, and I am incredibly grateful that I can say that. Everyone in the shop is extremely helpful, well informed and willing to do whatever they can to assist. No job is too small (a tyre had deflated on my bike and they kindly leant me a pump to inflate it again) or too big. I will always return here whenever I need something!

Managed to pick up a puncture close by but the nut had been tightened too much from a previous service so couldn't get the tube out. The guys sorted me out, gave me some handy tips on extending the life of my slightly chewed up tyre and were very polite and friendly ☺️ great little bike shop in Putney!

The men who work at Velosport are hero’s! I showed up just as they were closing with a broken chain and they fixed it on the spot. It was a life saver, I was able to bicycle home. The employees were friendly, competent and charming. I will definitely be returning there for my bicycle repairs!

What stated out as a good experience has morphed into a terrible one. I paid for a Bike Fit which took place over 2 sessions. After my first session he said my gears needed a quick adjustment and said he would sort it out. His engineer did a quick 3 min fix and then at checkout he charged me £30 for the "service". For my second fit, we arranged a time which he then tried to change as he wanted to leave the store early to meet his mates at the pub. My second fit was 18th Sep and over 4 weeks later I still dont have my Bike Fit report. Have chased Steve over email and got him on the phone and his excuse is just he has a lot of these to do so will get around to it at some point. Would expect much better service from a Bike shop with what I thought was a good reputation. Avoid for a bike fit and ask Steve in advance if his quick look by his mechanic will cost you £30

Hands down, the best bike store in London! Walked in with my partner's bike, expecting to be put on a waitlist for repairs, instead was served by Luke who had the bike fixed in 30mins. New parts installed and all! Phenomenal service by all....this will definitely be our local bike store, we will never go anywhere else again!

Great experience when purchasing my New Merida Speeder , phoned up , placed order and then contacted a couple of days later to say it was in and ready for collection or delivery , sounds a normal process but no other cycle shop could get hold of the bike , let alone deliver it to me within a week , during a pandemic or otherwise . Impressed with the service and overall experience at Velosport :)

I have now had my bike serviced three times at Velosport, with my bike coming back feeling as good as new every time. The team are all very helpful and friendly and are very good at giving updates on any additional parts that might be needed as well as communicating when the work will be finished. Great service all round and much better than other shops I have tried in SW London and Kingston.

Good customer service, however i got 3 pinch flats in a row from them. They didn't charge labour the 2nd time, but i still had to shell out for tubes.
After the 3rd pinch flat in a row i got fustrated with a 25min walk each time so I took it to the independent bike shop on the lower Richmond road, much better, and £5 cheaper for a tyre replacement.

Dropped a rear wheel off a couple of weeks ago. Suspect bearings needed replacing. "Should take a week"
Three calls later, two weeks later ive had no traction and no help. I've been told twice they would get in touch but with no luck. They now want me to come in and find my own wheel.
A painful experience.

Terrible experience using Velosport! Would not get your bike serviced here!
I took my bike in for a check and told them that the breaks were squealing and the gear chain had jammed so I wanted it looked at. They recommended me to have the basic check £45 and said if any additional work was needed they would let me know. I was very happy with that and would have been more than willing to get any further work done if needed.
I picked my bike up a few days later they told me they had checked the bike, given it a basic service and everything looked good.
Had the bike back for a few days now and the breaks are still squealing and the gear chain jammed again!
So I don't know if they even looked at my bike at all! All they appear to have done is tighten up the breaks. Terrible service.

Second times I went in for my bike flatted tyre and new outer tyre services. Very nice friendly and informative services. However, after collecting my bike, 3 minutes journey home, sat down for a cup of coffee, and discovered that the tyre were flatted again. When back, got it fixed in no time. I understand mistake do happen, the great news is, they take their responsibility seriously within those friendly faces.
Thank you very much, and I believe Putney should know we have a very good bunch of Bike Experts to help and look after our bikes.

Disgusted to be charged £34.99 for a spoke replacement. Staff vague and unable to provide a price list. Saddened to see a local business taking advantage of people using bikes more than usual.
