I Cannot recommend Hunters of Camberwell enough, Brett Macdougall senior partner and his team were particularly helpful when we asked them to manage the sale of the family home. Unfortunately during the process our Mum passed away which meant although we had a buyer everything had to go to probate. During this difficult time Brett remained, professional, helpful but most of all supportive managing our expectations. We are now happy to say that the sale is complete even though Brett and his team did face a very demanding buyer, who was rude and extremely unpleasant when they were just trying to do their Jobs, which I find totally unacceptable when we should all be working along side each other to make this a better world to live in. When selling, the flat was marketed beautifully, and they got us an offer on the first day of viewings. Our sale progression turned out to be tricky, but Brett and Chris were excellent throughout, often going above and beyond to help us keep things moving.

Really really good experience working with Chris and Darren and co. Our situation before contacting Hunters was terrible: my partner and I were in hurry into finding a new flat to rent and we had only 1 week for doing so.
When we first met Darren, he was absolutely open and honest about the property he was showing us, and he was clear about the application process, and possible outcomes of our offer.
The application was super-quick and smooth for an excellent price without hidden fees.
Darren provided an excellent level of service and support at every stage, and all the team in Camberwell are friendly and helpful.

'Here to get you there' and keep you waiting outside the property for 20+ minutes. Here to not answer phone calls or emails asking where the estate agent we booked the viewing with has gone. Here to get you nowhere.
Dear Sales Director at Hunters, in response to your reply below: The email sent by my partner stated a 15 minute delay, not 5. In line with the time frame you have given below your colleague and I were at the address both at the same time, however there was no response when I rang the entrance bell multiple times, and mobile calls and office calls remained unanswered. I also don't understand how I couldn't contact you, but that is an office issue, not a potential client issue. Yes you are correct, the appointment was in the middle of the day, the middle of a working day, mid-week, during working hours which we took time from to unsuccessfully visit the property.

Took days for us to find out if the property was ours or not. They were beginning a referencing process without confirmation. Asked us to supply information again and again and expected us to sign a tenancy that was re-sent one day before move in due to all the errors as it had not been done properly. Surely an indemnity would have made more sense. Would not rate them at all. Awful agents for tenants, will advise the landlord of this when it becomes relevant. Rema and the lettings manager were awful and quite patronising. We may be students that doesn't mean you get to treat us like idiots especially when we were so organised and had to re-supply again and again because no one was taking notice.

After that, the team were really proactive in keeping us up-to-date, we never had to chase them for anything. They even went out of their way to advise us around a few issues on the place we were buying (through another agent). Like most people we've had bad experiences with estate agents, but Hunters earned our trust and I'd happily recommend them to anyone. Definitely talk to them if you're buying or selling in the Camberwell area.

Would avoid like the plague, took £300 cash from me as a holding deposit to let a property, only to tell me the next morning that they’ve opted for someone else. I had a bad feeling when a gentlemen came in to attempt to put a holding deposit down on the same property and they informed him to come back after I’d gone... never known anything like it, didn’t fancy replying to my email explaining my gripes either
