When looking for a year long lease a while ago we've been in touch with different agencies, and Chesterton's appeared to be the best one in terms of providing immediate feedback and meeting client's claims and expectations. Now, after living at the apartment, which is guided by Chesterton's, for several months, I can say that it charms me more and more. I'd like to thank Tom not only for his great job in search for an apartment we've needed, but for being extremely nice and helpful at all stages of looking for and renting apartment!

I’ve recently signed my new contract for a property in central london. Nishaad, was very helpful in particular when using Chestertons. He was very responsive and easy to talk to, he also listened to what we would like in our property and found us a match almost immediately. We loved the property upon viewing and signed the same day! In the first 12 hours of connecting with Nishaad, this gentleman helped me secure a rental property in my ideal location with ideal price, which is pretty amazing!!
I was dealing with some other agents as well, I would say Nishaad is the best, and as a middle man, he is creating real value for both sides. Specifically for my case, as I am doing international relocation, Nishaad is kind enough to offer help such as setting up wifi, handling packages and etc to make sure everything work before I come to London. Though I am just at early stage of settling this deal, I would expect it to be a wonderful journey with him.

After recently refurbing my flat, I wanted to put my flat on the rental market. The challenge in Jan2021 was Covid. Not living in London meant I needed an agent that would take care of my new tenants and make sure my flat was furnished and ready to rent. My agent, Mr Nishaad Ali, guided me every step of the way. Suitable tenants were found quickly, my flat was furnished and all done remotely from outside London. Happy landlord, happy tenants.

Chestertons have been responsible for letting my flat for years now. I find their service professional, thoughtful and friendly. This spring I would like to thank James, Rafael, Tom and Alina for finding me new tenants.
They work hard to suggest a fair rental, match viewers and landlords and to show the property at times mutually acceptable and always replied swiftly to WhatsApps etc. Very good attention to detail in the paperwork and care to check that all safety requirements are met.
Mostly they are a delightful team to work with and I send them many thanks for their work on my behalf.

We were shown flats in Pimlico by an agent called Rafael Alves. Rafael is the best letting agent I have met. He was punctual, professional, listened carefully, patient, polite, good company on viewings and seemed genuinely committed to finding us a property that we liked and met our specifications. He also has a relaxed demeanour which took the stress out of finding a flat. We never felt he was trying a hard sell. I would highly recommend him and Chesterton's for anyone looking for a flat in central London.

After having really bad experience with many agencies that were not paying attention to what I asked for and played games to try to push up the price and use tricks to try to make more money and lock you in I met with Chestertons which worked much better than others and followed a good process to find what I asked for and we ended up doing business through Chestertons. I am happy with their engagement and availability as well as not trying to play agent games. I recommend Chestertons, especially Tom.

Puzzled by reviews - my experience was broadly negative. Tried to buy a flat through them. After offer was accepted, the estate agent, Stephanie Pudner and Sara Lowry did not respond to emails, never called back when I left messages. And never informed me when the seller withdrew from the sale before exchange, which seemed like an important piece of information to pass on. This happened after having done the survey and all the conveyancing and mortgage paperwork had been done. As a first time buyer - it was certainly a learning curve and I would be cautious before dealing with them in the future. They also didn't follow up to try and help me find anything else. Bizarre and disappointing treatment considering the amount of money lost.
**in response to Chestertons (below): To clarify: An exchange falling through happens, and that's annoying. What's disappointing is being ghosted by the estate agent and seller's solicitor at the set date of exchange, instead of simply being informed. Stephanie Pudner and Sara Lowry also, to this date, have not returned messages from my solicitor about return of contracts. This is a reflection of their unprofessional approach I dealt with throughout my attempted buy. They of course never followed up after.
