I was looking for a good home to put my mum in five months ago but I couldn't find a suitable home for her, so I called Westgate and spoke with one of the members of the Admin team who put me through to her deputy manager. She was very confident and reassured me that Westgate was a suitable home for my mum. My mum has been there for 5 months now and she is loving it and her mental state is improving.

The staff here are incredible towards myself and my family, especially with the hard times and hard news we received whilst my father was staying here. They’re doing their best with everything that’s going on through the pandemic and COVID, however that doesn’t stop them from supporting and getting their jobs done.
Giving it a 5/5 stars because the old man didn’t enjoy the food as to him, it was “too spicy” or it wasn’t something he enjoyed, however they always made sure he had something to eat that he enjoyed, whether it was after everyone else had their food.

Westgate house is a beautiful home. The staff are very friendly and nice. The home is very lively with activities. The reception is very warm with a great administration team. The management team is great. I look forward In placing my precious mum in this beautiful, clean home with caring and competent staff all around.

Wouldn't recommend this place to no one as many incident been witnessed. We live near the residential care home and the neglect they put the elderly people through is appalling. Please do your research before you put your love ones in care at this place. Everything will look wonderful but don't judge it soon.

Fantastic place and fantastic management. Read their CQC Report. All resident and relatives highly applauded management for fantastic Leadership. Go in and view the home yourself. Fantastic staff who care so much about their residents and willing to go the extra mile.

The manager lacks effective fair management skills. Incompetent robotic staff who do not understand what customer care is or what empathy means. They show a disregard for relatives when their loved one has passed away. Very cold when breaking the news. For them it’s business as usual; another void to fill quickly leaving relatives more grief stricken. Hater..? No, a relative who has lost a loved one there. I was one of the many who are being fooled by the bogus so called great reviews and the specialist care they claim to provide. DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!

Terrible management, unsanitary conditions, and unsafe procedures! Do not take your loved ones here. The integrity of the staff is questionable, so the organization is hardly trustworthy. There are 5 star reviews on this page that are fraudulent, and made by management and their family members. Please take care to avoid this care home.
