I am not a fan of the outdoor/sporting stores in the UK but this one has really surprised me. I went in there during sale time and the floorspace is not too big but for that they have a wide range of great quality products. I was lookig for a small hiking backpack and the team assisted me immediately and helped me made the right choice. I am so happy with my backpack and will definetely go back there!

Firstly, the store feels open and welcoming compared to many other Mountain Warehouse stores. I was able to move around easily and see the products without feeling overwhelmed. The manager approached me and offered to help. He was really friendly and gave really honest advice, putting me very much at ease, especially as I have never been skiing before. It is good to go into a store where the staff are knowledgable but also passionate about the brand. On top of all this, the prices are amazing! You can get a lot of good quality gear without doubling the price of your already expensive ski holiday. I will go back and recommend to others no problem.

I was looking for a backpack that I could take with me on flights and for work and after a bit of searching, I found a really good one at mountain warehouse. They were having a sale so I bought a pair of travelling/hiking trousers too! The staff (think it was the manager) was very warm and friendly too. I've had the backpack for close to a couple of months now and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Went in for hiking boots recently and was helped by the manager. Apparently he is quite new to the company but seemed to really know his stuff and spoke with real passion. He genuinely found me the right boots for the purpose. Great guy, great store. Thanks. I will see you again soon.

Home of the misleading outdoors gear sale. 70% off what? Every item in the store is own brand and as for 'Everything must go' this is simply a stock clearance they have no intention to close the store.
This place really is for people who know absolutely nothing about the outdoors.
If you are looking for better quality outdoor stuff that will last a lifetime and is priced properly in a genuine sale, look elsewhere.

I just bought a pair of hiking trousers and a pair of ear plugs. Good value, friendly and helpful staff. Not sure why anyone would want to go up the road to Blacks.
Saying that Blacks do have a better footwear range. Anyway I like it here and I will continue to shop here way into the future. Not for footwear though.

The staff didn't seem to know what stock they had. I was after something thermal bit for our UK kind of weather, but could only see skiing things (for -20°C temperatures) and basic rain proof stuff. Couldnt find anything in the middle range. Staff didn't seem to know and asked me to check the labels.
The shop itself was rather crammed and didn't seem to have much of an order to the items. There was a huge selection of things, but maybe they could be sorted in way that makes it an easier trip.

I was previously a customer at blacks, then I came across mountain warehouse which was only a few minutes away, I was astonished by the cleanliness and atmosphere of the shop, not to mention kindly greeted by all staff as I entered the shop , I was assisted and offered help by the friendly staff. It is very convenient that the store opened not too far from my workplace!
