I love muji’s products and have been a loyal customer, my recent experience in store was nice, but I am concerned about how muji is charging the customers. I purchased the sauce dish which has a label of £3.95, whereas I was charged £4.25. In the store it was also saying you get 20% off when you purchase 2 pp storage boxes, which was also not reflected from my receipt. I was in a rush so didn’t check the receipt properly at the store, and it’s also not worth my time to get the tiny bit of discount/mis-charge back by going back to the store. I will not be visiting muji stores again.

Always a delightful store to be in, the Covent Garden store is no different. Two floors full of Mini brilliance, and a calming and relaxing shopping experience.

MUJI really needs to step up their staff training in UK/EU. Among the stores of all the countries I’ve visited, I often run into inattentive staff here (at Selfriges, Covent Garden, and Oxford St). Some chit-chat too much with their colleagues while some can’t be bothered with questions. None were inexcusably rude, but they seem very impatient to be done with their customers.

Muji is such a wonderful place to buy unique, basic stationary. Always a great place to visit even if not indenting to spend. They sell a range of sketchbook, note pads and fantastic selection of multi coloured pens, which always go down well!

I tried to refund some stuffs that I bought online but the cashier called PATON made me pay for in instead of giving me a refund and she DIDN’T EVEN SAY SORRY BUT BLAMED THINGS ON me saying that she made a mistake due to distraction I made. I only asked her whether I would get the tax back or not which is written in the receipt beforehand and she was taking things all out on me. When I complained, she said don’t have those bad attitudes on me???????? well sucks to you and your horrible manners.

Very professional staff, super professional even. Polite especially under pressure. Payment counter staff very polite and have excellent communication while under pressure to the level of them also to be able to exchange banter and the odd laugh and giggle.

When i walk into Muji - the scent knocks me! Gorgeous scent. I think their clothing is a bit overpriced. So wait for sales. Otherwise I've bought practical knick knacks from here. Overall a calming store on entry.

Good place to get home stuff of good quality for cheap. The drink that they sell are a bit disappointing but that's my personal opinion I am sure someone like it it's just that if it doesn't have sugar I don't like it.

Zen lifestyle brand is agressively branching into home furniture and what a treat it is. Good deals can be had during the sales. Staff are wonderful.

An amazing place to find really unique, sleek and functional housewares and gifts. I bought the air diffuser for a friend and she absolutely loved it! I find their packaging really minimalist and eco-conscious as well, also a plus. Only real downside is the hugely inflated pricepoint -- most of the items in here you can find on amazon for a fraction of the price. If you have the money to spend, give it a go.

Generally loved Muji, however, it really annoys me is the fact that they said the item is 10% off, but I'm it turns out I paid the full amount. Be careful about your receipt.

I generally love muji and have a lot of their products. However, as I walked into this store, one of the staff started yelling at me for no reason. It was my first time visiting this Muji location and for a staff to yell at you saying "What are you doing here?!" was humiliating. I will not visit this location again.

The friendliest Muji shop in London. As we all agreed, muji gives you the Zen diea from little thing like pen and note pad to big item like furniture. Friendly staff, good customer service, I always go there to get inspired.

Incredibly rude manager today. I went in to buy a plain black t shirt for my daughter to wear in a concert tomorrow, having failed to find one anywhere else locally. I found a pack of men's xs t shirts but there were no dimensions on the packet so took one out to see if it looked about the right size. There was an open t shirt on the display but it was for a different size so I couldn't use this to decide. The one I had opened looked fine so I took it over to the till to buy. The assistant then told me when paying I wouldn't be able to return it as it was opened. I did not think this sounded right or would stand legally. She cited hygiene reasons but I hadn't worn the shirt merely opened the packet in the store and how would anyone know if it was suitable without removing it from the packet? She agreed that I could swap it for an unopened pack and this would protect my statutory rights. I bought an opened pack but unfortunately realised about half an hour later I had picked up a v neck pack rather than a round neck. The packs are the same price and appearance and were placed together on the shelf. I returned to make a straight swap of the unopened pack and this time spoke to the manager who aggressively told me I had already been told by the previous assistant I couldn't make a swap. I challenged this as it was untrue. I suggested she call the previous assistant but she continued to treat me with contempt and as if I was lying or somehow trying to do something dishonest. I merely was trying to buy a t shirt from a store and exchange one unopened packet for another. I had a receipt which says clearly you can return your purchase within 30 days in a saleable condition if not happy with it. She had no legal right to refuse to swap one unopened packet for another and I suspect no right to say I couldn't swap an opened saleable unused t shirt either. She finally let me swap but said irritably ' -once only' . I have sympathy with shop staff working over the Christmas period but this woman's behaviour was unacceptable for working in customer service. I am very upset at how rudely I was treated today as a customer and won't buy from muji again.

Understated, minimalist cool. Branches of Muji are akin to miniature department stores as they seem to sell everything!

If you thought you've seen them all, you will reconsider after a trip here, where you can find quirky, clever, highly useable little gadgets, reinvented common use things. Excellent service from staff, you can't leave without buying something useful and quirky for your home.

I have been there today and wanted to buy a T-shirt. When I paid,, the casher said I need an id card to show. I had a just student ID. Who carries a passport with them in the UK? She said it is not acceptible after asking the manager next to her. I asked the resaon and the cashier answered, "The manager said "no" without a right explination. I have never expirienced that I have to show ID when I pay by a card (verified by signiture) without any acceptible explination. After paying it, I returned to the store to refund as I had an unpleasant feeling and did not want to have it anymore. The manager was still rude and arrogant saying "This is "Muji policy". I understand they have a certain policy but if they have an unusal one, they should explane it in a kind way rather than just saying "No". I used to like Myji before, but I certainly dont want to go back again. A manager is not the one who command customers or to be arrogant against them. The manager in the store should have been trained better. I definitely do not recomment to go there.

I bought a sofa and I arranged the delivery with them. They said they would contact me one hour in advance. The day came but the phonecall didn't. I called them and they realised that they got wrong my number. They apologized and without even asking, offered straight away to refund the delivery charges. It could be maybe because I'm not use to that kind of deference from any company, but that gesture moved me. MUJI, 5 stars in customer service. I will come back.
