Recently purchased a Nissan Qashqai from this garage . From the initial appointment to view & test drive to purchasing & finally picking the vehicle up everything went smoothly . The car was ready for us when we turned up for a viewing & test drive . The salesman was extremely friendly & was in No way pushy for us to make the purchase . The test drive was done in a very professional manner with plenty of time & a lot of information on our chosen vehicle. The negotiations for our purchase & our P/Ex was conducted in a very easy going way with us finally purchasing the vehicle . I usually dread changing my vehicle as the experience at other Dealers is usually very draining & feeling like you have just been in the ring with a professional boxer . Not this time at Bristol Street Motors Nissan Derby we dare I say it found the experience quite refreshing & one which left us feeling very positive on our vehicle change .The day of picking up our vehicle the salesman went out of his way to explain the controls on the vehicle & in no way did it seem he was in a hurry for us to depart it was very much appreciated by us . The sales manager also spoke with us before leaving Thanking us for our custom & wishing us a safe journey home & many years Happy Motoring. All in All our Car Buying Experience at this Dealership was !st rate & we would recommend . Well Done Bristol Street Nissan Derby .

Recently bought a Nissan Juke from here. My other car, a Entec Note, was also from here and had a so far good return with the previous vechile. Grace was very helpful and kept in touch with regular emails. There were some minor issues with the pickup which was rechecked and reassured that all was fine. The staff updated the Satnav as well .....fully satisfied !

I just wanted to write in as I know people mainly only do this to complain or have had a bad experience. Well this is different. I would like to congratulate The Used Car Sales Manager for dealing with my issue quickly and effectively. He always telephoned when he promised even if he did not have the answer, keeping me fully informed of progress. It has now been fully resolved with the minimum of fuss. Thank you. Would I buy another car from here... yes I would.

Probably the worst Nissan dealership there is.This is the second time that I have been in to the showroom regarding placing an order for a Qashqai and due to the poor service and ignorance of the sales staff I have once again placed my order with Holdcrofts in Hanley.Although it is further to travel there from my home address the staff there are first class.I suggest that the sales staff at Nissan Derby pay a visit to Holdcrofts in order to learn what good customer service is.Instead of ignoring a potential customer and chatting among themselves.

Bought a used car a few weeks ago and part chopped my old one. Lovely bunch of people, nothing was too much trouble, went through everything with me on the car, even set up my blue tooth for me. Have purchased cars from here before and would definitely go back

Went in with my sister to look at a Qashqai a few weeks ago. There was a smashed plantpot as you go in which looked like it had blown over and could have easily been cleared up yet staff just walked past it. Staff sat at desks with no customer there so just left to look around without the help we needed. No-one spoke to us to we went to the first desk nearest to the showroom one. We wanted to see in the boot but couldn't open it as the car was flat we wanted to see apparently when we asked. The salesperson who we spoke to was friendly and smiled but she didn't get up to show us a similar one, so we decided to leave. They didn't ask for my sister's number to let her know if a better car comes in despite saying they would call her which was funny to us. When we left the plant pot lay smashed in the same place (30 minutes later). Not a great experience and a shame as this car was my sister's favourite choice at the time. She has since bought a Hyundai Tuscon later that day, so was serious in buying a car.

Awful experience with both the dealership and especially the service department. Booked the car in with two warranty issues and booked a courtesy car for a week as they wanted the car for that long. Took the car in as planned but there was no courtesy car available. Wasted hour round trip for me and they had to collected the car the following day. After collecting the vehicle a week later - it wasn't cleaned as they had promised and they had only sorted one of the two faults that it went in for! Booked it back in for a collection the week before Christmas and on the day, when waiting for the collection driver to turn up I got a phone call from Nissan - "where's your car? It's booked in this morning." "I'm waiting for the collection driver to pick it up" I say. "Oh, he's gone on holiday and won't be back until after Christmas". A shambles from start to finish. And it isn't even the first time. Every time I have to take a car in or each time I buy a new car, the experience is awful. They tell you it will be a 1 hour wait and it will be 2. They give you incorrect information and I've even booked a test drive for a car that they didn't actual have. They let me test drive a car the same colour but it was actually a higher priced model. We have also got a Volkswagon which my son drives - I deal with them for all the servicing and repairs at TL Darby in Burton on Trent. I have had a brilliant service with them and have come to realise that all dealerships are not like Bristol Street Motors. Bristol Street are my closest Nissan dealership. I love Nissan cars but my next car will not be a Nissan as I really cannot bear to have to deal with Bristol Street any more.

Went in and was greeted by the manager Jonathan Lord. I was then handed over to one of his handy salesman Danny. We looked at my current 20-year-old, and what it was costing me to keep on the road. Compared that with the Nissan note 14 plate top specification. Danny sorted me out with a cracking price and an affordable deal on the vehicle. Three years warranty and two years servicing in with the deal. Full tank of fuel. Cracking team Cracking service Cracking car Topped off with a cracking deal from Danny superb salesperson. Tony Smith

Brought my car from the used section. After a few days I noticed it was pulling to the left slightly, I called bristol Street up and booked it in to be sorted. The day came for the cars tracking to be done. There was a bit of a mix up on what garage my car was booked into but the car was sorted in no time at all. Good service all round

The guy whole dealt with me was fine himself however failed to tell me he was doing a credit check on me, just asked for my details. Then I put a deposit down on a car and was told i would get a phone call back the following day telling me the car would be there for me to test drive, I had no phone call. So I rang them myself and was told i would get a call back off someone shortly and didnt. So I rang back 3 times the following day to get my deposit back as I wasn't happy and every time I was told nobody is picking the phone up "they open at 9 so try again then" I tried again at 10 past to then be told "oh they must be in a meeting" I'm sorry but if you state you are open at 9 and can give a call back service then you need to follow this. Massively disappointed and will not be using them again and will also tell friends and family to steer clear of the place.

I don't know why but for some odd reason my car is never cleaned thoroughly after having any type of service done to it. Whether it be a health check, fixture of a suspension leaks or having a new turbo fitting in the engine. My car was not valeted properly or washed at all. When i purchased my car paying more than £21,000 a few years back upfront i found the sales team to be the bestest sales team i had ever come across THEN! But now, they are the worst after sales team who dont want to know your problems or pass you over to another person, who would say they would get back to you later once they found out how to help you look into some thing but they dont!! Bcause they cant be bothered to help you out. Or you would be passed around from one team to another. All I wanted to know was how much it would be to take out a service plan and extend my cars warranty. I suffer with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and a bad knee from a previous accident a couple of years ago. As a result of my accident I had to purchase an automatic car. Which provides me with a smooth comfort drive. I enjoy driving my Nissan Qashqai. Therefore I can only drive an automatic car not a manual. But when ever i ask for an automatic courtesy car the garage refused to arrange any automatic cars over the past 8 months or so. Where as before several times they had arranged them for me. But I cant understand why have the rules changed now. I'm so fed up now. Its not easy driving all the way to derby and back each time in a manual car with my health conditions. I'm seriously thinking about selling my car only because of the negligence and unhelpfull attitude I have recieved on many occasions from the servicing staff.. "we can't do anything to help you when ever you ask us" or "not bothered anymore" attitude. I have thought about changing it to another model who have better sales assistance. I have heard so much from friends who own cars from other dealerships whom come across more sincerely with care for their customers.

Having been persuaded by a sales executive at Nissan Derby – who just happens to be our son! – that the Qashqai with the new 1.3 petrol engine is an excellent vehicle, we signed on the dotted line and handed over our money. So, that’s our sons’ inheritance gone … but does the latest Qashqai live up to its favourable reviews? We were most impressed by the presentation of our first new car(!) and our son’s patient attempts to get us to understand the range of the “infotainment” aspects of the Qashqai. In truth the myriad possibilities of the electronics proved rather too much for someone born in 1946, but I promise to spend the necessary time revising the various handbooks! On leaving the dealership, we decided to take our new pride and joy on a 261 mile test drive – which just happened to be the distance to our home on Dartmoor. This was to be a joy. The Qashqai proved to be comfortable, quiet and smooth, with no annoying rattles or intrusive sounds from wind or road noise. Being ‘old school’ with regard to being mechanically sympathetic, we treated the new engine with respect and our journey south was completed at an average of 65 to 70 mph. We were delighted to find that fuel consumption turned out to be 51.3 mpg (better than our former diesel SUV) and this could be even better as the engine beds in during the coming weeks. Initial impressions, then, are most favourable and it is not difficult to see why the Qashqai has been such a sales success over the past decade.

I recently purchased a new micra, personally I think I received poor service. I had to contact the dealership personally and do all the chasing to get my new car. When I filled in a review, a few minutes before collecting my car, the manager didn't like my scoring and asked that when I received the email regarding my purchase that I would give them top marks, hence to say I didn't receive the email and I have had not contact with them since. After the service I received I would not be happy to recommend this dealership. I have purchased new cars in the past from other companies and have received phone calls after I took ownership of the vehicle to ask if everything was OK. I have not had contact with anyone from the dealership regarding the vehicle or service I received. Previously at other dealerships I have had to return the vehicle after a short period of time to have everything checked. I am not happy with the service I recieved.

I was charged almost £600 for a DPF regeneration and new timing belt (which I later realised when I checked old paperwork from the previous owner, had only been changed 2 years ago - fair enough I should have known that but it wasn't explained to me why it needed changing again). I was given the invoice on collection but wasn't informed the dpf was apparently 'non-gen' and I wasn't informed that I may still have issues with the dpf. Low and behold less than 2 weeks later my red engine light comes on. So I take it back to be informed it'll cost me £1,600 for a brand new filter! When I stated I didn't wish for the work to be done they tried to charge me for diagnostics, even though they hadn't done anything to it and I'd already paid out almost £600 for work relating to the same issue. I was informed they would waver the diagnostics but that I wouldn't be allowed to take my car back there for any further diagnostics!! I just wish they had been honest and open in the first place. The managers just sit in the back office and leave the assistance to talk to customers, so most of the time they can't answer questions about the cars and what's been done as they don't know! Very poor nissan, very poor!

I've had my son and his family over here from N.Ireland for a visit. Yesterday they were out in their Nissan X Trail and when they came back the car was leaking diesel badly from somewhere in the engine compartment. Today they were returning to Ireland and were concerned as to whether the car would be okay to drive. Whilst one of them fed the baby and the other packed ,it was was left to me (dad) to try and get it checked out. I took it down Bristol Street Nissan,Derby. I explained to the young lady on service reception the problem and she would get someone to look at it as soon as someone was free. After about 40min. wait ,a lovely man came into reception from the workshop to get a drink and asked if I would like one as well. While he was making the drink he was chatting to me and asked what I was waiting for. I told him the problem and he just said to give him the key and he would get it in and have a look. After about 20mins.he came in and told me what the problem was but said unfortunately it was not something that he fix there and then, but the car would be okay to drive them to Ireland. Since the son and his family had to leave in about 1 hours time to catch the ferry that was ok. The fitter put the bits he had removed to find the problem ,back on then brought the car round to the door for me. I offered him a small money payment for his kind help but he didn't want anything (he said he wasn't allowed to accept anything anyway!). It was very refreshing in this day and age to find such lovely and helpful people. It's just a great pity I didn't get their names. Well done and many thanks to them!!

I have recently purchased a 66 plate Nissan Qashqai 1.6 diesel Tekna auto from Bristol Street motors. I only called in by chance as I’d never really considered a Nissan before. From start to finish the sales team did a fantastic job, especially Matthew Hall. I was given a really long test drive on different roads, they listened to my needs and offered me suitable vehicles. They offered me a competitive price and thoroughly explained the benefits of warranties and asset protection without any pressure to buy them. On collection day the car was spotlessly presented and Matt took the time to run through the features of the car which hadn’t already been covered. Since I purchased the car I have allocated my personalised registration and when calling the different companies to advise of the change they have all been extremely user friendly and answered the phone promptly. Overall a really nice and pleasurable experience and I would definitely recommend Bristol Street Motors Derby. Thank you. ????

Absolutely disgusting experience , obnoxious, condensending, unhelpful, arrogant sales staff. As a pregnant women expecting my first child, I was delighted when I purchased my Nissan juke from bsm , as my brother works for the company I thought it has a good reputation and I was pleased that I'd have a fairly new car, with a service and mot plan and it was under warranty , bargain and finally a reliable car. My first service came up and no problems even had a courtesy car, nothing to pay the car was healthy, great, roll on a few months , the wipers stop working , booked it in, they called me said it was fixed , few days later stopped working again. And in for it's MOT in December 2017 , passed everything working I thought great. Fast forward to it's 2nd service in April 2018 , every break pad had worn to metal on every wheel , suspension arm was broke and leak on gear box , how on earth was the wearing on the break pads not picked up on previous visits especially during MOT ? Not only that, no courtesy car available and it's not under your warranty so it'll be 650 pounds as it's classed as perishables. I spoke to a lady on the phone expressed my concerns why this wasn't picked up she said it's because they didn't do a health check on the mot , but she'd see what she could do on a price and get me a quote , never received a call back all my calls were ignored for help, I was now left with a undriveable car , finally got hold of them , still no quote , booked in for 1st may 18, great , expensive but at least I'll have a reliable car for my daughter, my father dropped the car off for me , tried to call between myself and my partner to let them know as it was closed when father dropped it off , and to see if we could get a courtesy car and see if they had done the work, every call ignored. My father went to fetch it after he finished work again no courtesy car he had to walk 5 miles, and I somehow had to try and get someone to fetch my daughter from nursery 30 miles away as my dad was stuck in the office. They told him the car wasn't fixed they hadn't done anything , WHY?!?! I have money to give, I'm a loyal customer, my brother works for you, I have a young daughter and I live 25 miles away from the centre. They said they had tried to phone me to confirm the day before 3 times and I hadn't confirmed , look at phone not a single missed call , liars , knowing my car was now undriveable as it would void my Insurance if driven they tried to make my dad take it away with them. Finally after my dad pleading they've kept it over night , not resolved yet untill tomorrow , but I have absolutely no faith in your company anymore , I think you are rude, inconsiderate, unhelpful. And I am disgusted at your service , especially as I had high hopes in the beginning. I never complain, i am reasonable but your lack of reasoning and customer service and lack of empathy for a young working mum now with no vehicle and a child to try and get to nursery and to get to work. UTTERLY DISGUSTED

THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE In September 2017 I took my vehicle to Nissan derby for service and MOT as part of the service plan I had taken out on my car, l was sent a video clip from a master technician informing me I needed two new tyres on the vehicle as the tracking was out and needed adjustment I arranged for the tyres to be fitted the following day and for the tracking to be adjusted as advised When the tyres were eventually fitted after a long delay due to the wrong tyres being ordered l was advised the tracking no longer needed adjustment. I was not at all happy about the situation as one day the tracking needed adjustment causing irregular tyre wear and the next it didn't. I complained to the service manager and the general manager and low and be hold the tracking was adjusted,l was reimbursed the cost of one of the tyres as a gesture of goodwill. As I explained at the time it wasn't about money it was a question of TRUST if you're advised a job needs doing on your vehicle you need to TRUST that you are being the right information I eventually left with the tyres changed and the tracking adjusted and my car serviced and MOT'd for another year. On Tuesday this week my car tax renewal letter arrived from the DVLA and I went on line to do the renewal only to be informed the vehicle had no valid MOT, l contacted Nissan service at Derby me was told the car had definitely been tested in September and to contact the dvla to sort the problem out, I made the call straight away only to be told that my car had not had a valid mot since September 2017 so I had been driving around in a vehicle with no MOT for over 4 months. My car went back to Nissan service Derby yesterday and was MOT'd in one hour Whilst I waited for my car to be tested not one person of any authority came anywhere near me to explain what had gone wrong or to offer any apology. As previously stated its about TRUST not money I TRUSTED Nissan service to tell me the truth about what my car needed They let me down I TRUSTED Nissan service to MOT my car They let me down What would have happened if I had been involved in an accident with no MOT ? My insurance would probably been invalid so who would have been liable ? Bristol Street Nissan service department Derby You have lost my TRUST You let me down without even an apology

The Journey
Awful service department all started some months ago when gearbox failed and car transported in on a low loader. They had car in for a number of days and said it had been on an extensive test drive and there was nothing wrong with it. When I went to pick it up got into an argument as the girl on the desk was trying to say it was how we had been driving it. Next mechanic came out and said he would take me out in it and surprise surprise could not even drive it out the car park. As for extensive test drive the car had the same mileage on the clock as it had when put on the transporter. Last service told aircon not working not fixed and had to go in for warranty approval then in to be fixed. When taken in for this they were told engine management light had come on. Picked car up aircon fixed but next day engine management light back on. Emailed the head office to complain and told I would receive a phone call within 48 hours but no phone call as yet.
