Not half as cool as it could be. Beautiful to look at but not really anything to do here during the cold months. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, this is no longer a place worth visiting - the best attraction has been repainted and repaired too much

Nice to visit for the architecture not much in terms of shopping or maybe because I went on a weekday?

I have always wanted to visit here as it looks beautiful on the TV. It didn't disappoint in real life. We only walked through and didn't go in any of the shops or restaurants. Crazily, this beautiful place is right next to the ultra modern Lloyds building.

Stumbled onto this place. I heard that Diagon Ally was based on this place. There are Harry Potter tours about. Good selection of food but pricey to cater to office workers in the upper tax bracket.

Pavement dining in this beautiful old market in the heart of the City make this a unique place to eat and drink. Shopping is also good with some decent brands albeit a little limited. The market remains one of my favorite places in the City of London.

I work here. Although the area and surroundings are pretty much filled with insurance companies, managing general agents and brokers and what not, this market is still buzzing with tourists and hungry people. And because I work here, I haven't explored it like how a tourist would have. But this place is beautiful. Still a market like atmosphere with occasionally a busker playing music, a florist stall, lots of restaurants, designer clothes stores, gift shops and much more. Don't let the traditional look of the place fool you. There is something for everyone here. And every Christmas it lights up and gets to look even more beautiful.

This was not really a market. There are bars and restaurants here, but if you are looking for an outdoor market this is not one of them. They do have quite an array of possibilities. However, three stars is given because I don't think it is properly advertised.

If you don’t pay attention, you may miss it easily. I mean the place near the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001)…haha…The name in the reality is Leadenhall Market, one of the oldest markets in London with the age of more than 600 years. The decor and design of this building is so stunning that I logged into a mode of “WOW”…the ornate roof structure, painted green, maroon and cream, and cobbled floors…grande…Just cannot imagine originally it was a meat, game and poultry market, as well as a number of clothes shops here. Currently, it is a shopping and fine dinning place with a number of boutique retailers, restaurants, cafes, win bars and an award-winning pub.

One of the nicest placed to visit in the City of London. Many places to eat, drink and shop. Unfortunately is mostly chain restaurants and food places with just fancy, old style writing on the board (hence the 4 stars)... But other than that, I think is a must visit place in the City of London and perhaps have a drink or a bite. Is really busy during lunch time and after work drinking time and the beautiful arcades look great during Christmas time (one of the nicest little corners when Christmas lights are on)

I went to this place because I heard it was the inspiring place of Diagon Alley, and i am fan of Harry Potter. The market is beautiful, the fronts of the buildings are made with wood and it gives the place that vintage taste typical of some places in London. There are also restaurants/pubs open in the evenings.

Market dating back to the 14th century. Lovely architecture and very atmospheric. Don't come on a Saturday afternoon like I did as most of the place is shut. The pubs are still open so that's the main thing. I'd imagine that it would be really buzzy when all the shops are open. Nice place to walk around and explore. There are restaurants, pubs, liquor, butchers, flowers and various other shops.

The Leadenhall market, which I am about to review has become, over time, a very famous center in the city of London ;in fact it dates back to the 14th century when it was a food market and which took the name of a building called : The Ledene Hall , where during the week the chicken were sold. This market, in its time, was built on the site of a Roman forum , with the chapel attached, then considered to be the largest Roman site ever built by the Romans north of the Alpes. The current version is the work of the architect Sir Horace Jones dating back to 1881.He was inspired by the construction of the vault, of the no less famous architectural work of the Milan Gallery. To day this center is hone to fashion shops, restaurants and bars very popular especially with city .From Harry Potter fans it is fair to report that in this market, many scene of the films of this much followed character have been shot.

Historical, ceiling is lovely. Christmas does not reflect the red and gold colours of the markets decor. Not impressed with the tree, bland tree, expected more????

Not much to see. Pictures make it look big but not many shops and not close to other items worth while. If you are visiting London go see the many other sites.

A beautiful market architecturally very stunning. Most of its hidden beauty on top of the high pillars so don't forget to look up. If you are a fan of Harry Potter you will love this location as it offers great photos. During the week days it will be busy as your in the heart of the banking area. Its quiter at the weekend and we were suprised to find most restaurants didn't open during the weekend. The weekends seem to better for photo opportunities. There no Harry Potter themed shops just a small gift shop.
