I have been visiting East Street Market for almost 30 years now and pandemic aside, it is not as vibrant as it used to be. There are fewer stalls. Nevertheless it the ideal place to go affordable produce.

A market that I have seen all my life. Wonderful and usually bustling with shoppers and sellers.
The pandemic has caused the market to dry up, with only a handful of stalls with the bare basics on offer.
Thank God for their stalls which has helped to residents to have these without the prices going up.

Veggies and fruits and well priced but some need to be consumed fast. Meat...I got lamb once and it wasn’t that good...plus it doesn’t look hygienic around the meat seller and a bit doggie there... veggies and fruits def worth the walk there.

Today a few more stalls out. Veg is cheaper in the supermarkets right now. But for meat lovers great butchers at the end of the parade of shops on the right. Clean quality and great service

East Street Market use to be soo good back in the days but unfortunately its changed a lot now . There use to be clothing stalls, flowers, household goods and fabric but now it's mainly fruit and vegetables. I do miss the way it use to be! It's a shame really!!

Most people are rude, pushy and arrogant. Some stall holders show care for there produce. Some just Throw on top of others and don't care if they bruise or get damaged or dirty from being droppedon the floor.

I usually buy from this market, I find it very handy because you can find many things and cheaper than the supermarket. I know most of them because I do my shopping for about 22 years, the people are very friendly and helpful in East street market .
