A gem in the City, pretty much unchanged visually for a hundred years. A mix of retail and dining outlets line the arcade, but the real reason to visit is the stunning roof. An essential stop if you're visiting the City of London as a tourist, forming a stark contrast to the modern steel and glass towers that surround it.

One of the most famous and oldest markets in London. Unfortunately when I visited most of the shops were closed. Nice place to take photos.

Currently all shops are closed due to lockdown, but the architecture inside is still wonderful and the place is currently completely empty. Worth a visit if you're walking pass.

Leadenhall Market is not something you come across every day. I have lived in London for two years and only got there by accident on my way to a nearby hospital. They are v cute little cafés and the entire place gives you this Diagon Alley Harry Potter vibes - ofc it was indeed an inspiration for JK Rowling! Cute place! I would say it's one of the hidden gems of London as everyone is obsessed with the Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Sq.

Beautiful and one of London’s historical markets. It was designed by the same architect who did Tower Bridge: Horace Jones. These days apart from city workers the market attracts Harry Potter fans from all over the world as it has appeared in the movies. During Christmas time it is generally very beautiful decorated. Weekends is the best time to visit if you want to avoid the crowds although most of shops and bars, like the rest of the City, will be closed.

A posh, but now less busy market with a variety of restaurants and shops. Much different feel from the Borough Market across the river where it feels more local and have different cultures of food stalls

It is one of the oldest markets in London, dating from the 14th century, and is located in the historic centre of the City of London financial district.

I can easily say that it is one of my favourite spots in London. Maybe it is for the colors, the architecture or the coziness feeling of warmth but it is beautiful at any time of the day.

The original market dates back to the 14th Century but the current Victorian building, designed by Sir Horace Jones, was built following the demolition of the previous structure in 1881. Sir Horace also built the Billingsgate and Smithfield markets in a similar style, with wrought iron and glass. Now the home of upmarket shops, eating places and plenty of drinking establishments, including four traditional pubs; The Grapes, New Moon, Lamb Tavern and The Swan Tavern. During the week the market is very busy with office workers and so it’s better to visit at the weekend when the City is very quiet. The market also features as Diagon Alley in ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’; the entrance to a wizarding pub/inn called the Leaky Cauldron. Potter fans might be slightly disappointed to find out that this fictional pub/inn is actually an optician’s shop in Bull’s Head Passage, rather than one of the actual old ale houses.

Although the place is very photogenic, its actually a small market. Not as big as it looks in internet images. But its beautiful and worth visiting once. But don't expect many shops here.

Beautiful heritage building for a market! Not a huge amount of options but shops are good and not overpriced (touristy). Cool spot to visit!

Originally built in 14th century as a meat and poultry market but I don't think that would've been a good idea in the long run especially with such beautiful decor. In 1881 it was a given a new life in form of ornate roof, cobbled Street and maroon/green colour by the same architect who designed Bishopsgate and Smithfield Market making it more of a tourist attraction than just a bunch of shops. Personally I get the true historical London vibe in this area for some reason. If you walk around here on a typical British cloudy/rainy day, it just feels like olden black & white times. The pouring rain, the old buildings, people walking in a rush, the smell in the air. There's just something about it.

Beautiful old market building. Most of the shops are quite high priced though as it is located in the City of London. The bars and restaurants tend to be busy mid week with city workers.

An amazing place. A combination of history, architecture, useful purpose and a well used movie location. The Lamb pub has a wonderful picture of John Wayne being thrown through the front door of the pub in one of his films during a scene from one of his movies. Harry Potter films have also used the market as a location. Now more clothes shops than the original food market I knew as a lad but still a joy to visit in the City of London. Closest tube stations are Bank, Monument and Liverpool Street. A good visit!!

Fun little colorful market which will take you to Harry Potters world. Cute little shops, some great architecture. We visited the place on Saturday unaware that the stores will be closed. But that proved as a boon as we managed to get some really great pictures. Overall a must to do touristy thing in London.
