Fun little colourful market area. Well, it's really not a market but an arcade, which doesn't mean games but rather a promenade with shops. (Oh you indefatigable English!) Very small but pretty. Good colours. At night time it is pretty too.

The spirit of this place is amazing, especially now, when not much people around, and you can have a proper look at the building

Beautiful Victorian enclosed market, definitely worth a visit for those with a keen interest in architecture from the era. The market itself has been there forever, one of the oldest in London, nevertheless, the layout may seem quite familiar to anyone who's been in a modern shopping mall. Sometimes you can catch a busker or small music performance here. Well worth a visit if you're in the City.

Leadenhall Street is a street in the City of London. It is about ¹⁄₃ mile long and links Cornhill in the west to Aldgate in the east. It was formerly the start of the A11 road from London to Norwich, but that route now starts further east at Aldgate. Leadenhall Street has always been a centre of commerce.

I had mapped out the walk to find this market on my phone, i decided to wonder around and get lost as i love to find things by accident, which is how I ended up finding it. I went in to explore, i saw that the whole market was covered in building work, scaffolding everywhere, i was so hopping for that amazing photography shot that is all over the internet, just a shame. However i still return to capture the famous photograph.

I enjoy visiting this place for food and drink. It is a very lively and unique building surrounded by some of the most most modern and unique architecture in the world. This is a must on one or more of your trips to London.

What can I say about this amazing shopping arcade that hasn't been said already. It's stunning. A little bit of the past that takes your breath away. Every which way you look you will something fabulous. The little shops have some really unique goods. This place has to be on everyone's list when visiting London.

One of my favorite places in London. This place has atmosphere. It's right in the middle of hi tech City of London but still keeps it's legendary marks. It is surrounded by few really great cafes. There are men cleaning your luxury shoes.

A hidden gem of London. If you want to visit on a short trip the add sky garden to list as they both are near by. Otherwise plan an evening for dinner and drinks to get the real feel of the place. A must visit place for photographers and instagrammers as you can take mesmerizing pictures here.

Afther a long walk around the big city, I was able to discover this place full of Pubs. From the time I spent between one pub and another, I saw that is the *happy hour* for those who work around! The rush time normally is after work. Its a nice place but sometimes hard to get a Pint! But its worth!

It is kind of smaller than I expected. It is a kind of place for businessmen who make deals. It is not very excited. It is calm and elegant in a sense. Anyway, I like Borough market more.

Nice spot for a quick stroll--to call it a Market is a little misleading at this point, as it's really an arcade filled with pubs and shops. But, it is gorgeous and covered, so a great stop if you need to escape the rain. At 19:00 on a Wednesday all that's open is a few pubs, so you can window shop and enjoy the architecture, but I'd definitely recommend coming during the day to enjoy it fully. Not far from here is the Lloyd's building (cool architecture), 30 Saint Mary Axe (the gherkin/egg-shaped building), a monument to the Great Fire of London, and of course The Tower and Bridge plus HMS Belfast.

London is basically a collection of villages. Leadenhall market has the feeling of a village market area in the middle of the great metropolis. Great a must visit

Accessed from a main high street in Monument, Leadenhall Market is one of the oldest markets in the City of London's financial district dating back to the 14th century. What is unique about this market is high street chain cafes, restaurants and boutiques are housed in the 14th century buildings, architecturally going back in time to Chaucerian England. The monumental buildings with cobblestones and the dusky side paths give the impression of time having stopped; save the names of high street shops and office workers, you could easily mistake yourself in bygone times. Overall a market that has historic significance which is a rare finding in a modern city!

Great place to stop for a drink , mostly after work crew having a beer- the sandwich shop has gone now but you can eat at the butchers (baguettes etc ). Not really much here to do , a couple of nice jewellers, nothing for kids . Old small walk through market , Worth a visit but nothing special.

My favourite place in London. Ideally the place people think of when they say London. Its brimming with classically English architectural cues that eek out through the other arcades and markets; the Roman inspired collums the marbled details on the ceiling and yet a really essentialist approach to it all. Not part of this place feels unlit. Light flows naturally through it all like it would in the open. I'm a big fan of this place

Natalya had recommended Leadenhall Market to us so we made our way there, another short walk. It was a beautiful Victorian structure, although a lot smaller than expected. It was also pretty much devoid of people, mostly because all the shops in it were closed on a Sunday. So that speeded up the visit!

Leadenhall Market is a great place that is easy to walk past. We stopped by twice on our trip to London, once on a Wednesday after 5pm and it was crowded, but a good crowded. People on the streets talking and drinking. Lots of good pubs, we stopped in two of them I don’t remember the names. We went back on a Saturday around the same time and the place was dead. Less that 20 people there and most the pubs were closed.

Popular with Harry Potter fans, in the center of the City of London. A Victorian covered market with quirky shops and restaurants. In the Harry Potter world this was Diagon Alley.

I visited here on an unseasonably warm and bright February lunchtime and enjoyed walking around the busy market trying to find somewhere quiet enough to eat. There are a large number of pubs and restaurants for the City workers but also selections of shops as well.
