come here for my zero-waste shopping! produce are suuuuuper cheap here so saving the environment and money!! good selection of produce, but be sure to go in the morning, as most of the shops are closed by 2pm

Some of the meat shops are unkempt and smelling which must be taken care of by the authorities, some of both the fish and meat are rotten but they still sell it. It seriously dangerous to human health

East Street market was ok but little crowded for me. I did feel uncomfortable so decided to leave. Not many people wearing masks and bumping into each other .

Love east street market . Know so many people and they always say hello and have chat . Always something different down but it was the lane when I was a kid . With the monkey you have your phonto taken and up to sasparela love it grwT place to visit .

Nice and clean. My only negative is the fish smell from the fish mongers. Which attracted loads of flies. I wouldn't buy fish there. Didn't look fresh at all

Still trading - open air shopping. Great range of bargains to be had. Always good range of fruit & veg. Sunday has more of a car boot feel with a range of odd stalls particularly at the far end of the market. Pity that the flowers and plants stalls seem to have disappeared - hope they return soon.

Lots of rotten vegs and fruit for sale. How can this be allowed.east street market has lowest standards to all london street markets.
Some of the boys sub traders harass customers almost to buy just while passing through the market. Checks are needed by food standard agency.

A typically British street market but infused with Caribbean, Chinese and other cultures too. Fruit and vegetables, plants and flowers, clothes, bags all sorts! There is also a second-hand market at the northern end of the market. No traffic. Just lovely.

Has a mix of food, clothing and make up. Some stalls make no sense whatsoever, like that selling toiletries. However, is a straightforward space to negotiate running the length of East Street.
