PA Austin Box was great! He explained my x-rays thoroughly and answered any questions I had. Everyone in this facility has always been extremely friendly. I'm looking forward to meeting Dr. Gill as my husband has been seeing him too and really likes him! Keep up the good work! God bless Austin!

Melissa was very professional and seemed to be proficient at her job. Her answers were confident, leaving me to believe she was very knowledgeable. She answered all our questions to our satisfaction and made sure we were satisfied with the information we were given before leaving the room. We were treated like human beings instead of like a number. We would recommend her to our friends and family without hesitation.

Saw Everett Baker NP here for my foot pain. The check in experience is streamlined and I was seen after only a few minutes of waiting. Everett was very helpful and suggested several solutions for my pain. He also administered the least painful steroid shot in my foot that I have received so far. I would be happy to see him again if I need to.

The recent remodeling project has made nice improvements. The new Receptionist counter is much more inviting and practical. All of the staff members with whom I have had conversations are nice and professional. Comfortable waiting area. My doctors and nurses are friendly and well educated. They're confident, as am I, in their abilities to perform the necessary treatments/surgeries.
Dr Joseph Hurst☆☆☆☆☆ is an excellent surgeon, easy to talk with and has a great sense of humor. I would recommend him to anyone having orthopaedic hip issues.

I had a very pleasant experience with Watauga Orthopedics. I had an ACL repair, Dr. Wells was my surgeon, he done an amazing job on the repair. The staff at Watauga Orthopedics Physical Therapy were very professional and helpful.
A huge thank you to Justin Sylvester for his knowledge and professionalism. Will Rochelle and Justin Sylvester were my physical therapist, great group of professionals.

My physical therapy conducted by Will Rochelle has been exceptional. A year ago I went through Achilles surgery and my therapy was administered by Will. 8 weeks ago I had knee replacement surgery and I requested Will as my PT knowing I would get excellent results. I feel I'm ahead of schedule and will be back at work in a few weeks. Will is tough and will push you to the max. It is all worth it and I highly recommend him as well as the entire support staff at their center. They are simply the best.

Will demonstrated good knowledge of how the shoulder works. He isolated my shoulder with specific exercises to show exactly where the source of my pain was originating, and designed a program to strengthen areas to benefit. I felt very confident in his recommendations.

And she was an excellent active listener, reflective, thoughtful, kind, professional, and attentive. But what impressed me the most was her willingness to reach out to DrDetroye to make him aware of the situation. She didn't hesitate to seek his consultation as I am scheduled for surgery in a few days. I came into the office very nervous about what was going on with my leg and not being able to see my regular doctor but I left feeling very confident and reassured that she did her very professional best in patient care and it was outstanding. We were extremely pleased with the friendly and attentive care we received during our recent visit to Watauga Orthopaedics. Brandon D. Jones, PA-C and the entire team we encountered throughout were very accommodating to my son’s needs. My son may have been crying before our visit, but they definitely sent him away happier and in better shape than when he came in. Everyone wore a smile the day we were there and did a great job helping my son feel comfortable during his visit. Thanks for the great job well done!

I went in for a follow up appointment after having X-rays 6 weeks prior to going, and Melissa found a fracture that was not caught at the urgent care I had initially went to. She listened to me and found the real cause of my issue. 10/10 recommend seeing her friendly face and know that you're in good hands. Also, Hannah up front was kind and patient, as I had never been there before, and Cameron was also very nice. I was in and out in about an hour from start to finish. Thank you all, so much!

Excellent staff - a small fire broke out in a bathroom fan while we were waiting, which meant everyone had to be evacuated & wait for firetrucks.
Staff handled it with great calm & skill - got everyone out & back in and re-assembled so that we actually made our appointment and were finished even more quickly than we had planned on. Doctors & PAs also are very caring & helpful--take time to listen to you. Thanks to all of you for a good experience

Everyone there is beyond friendly and I was sad to have "graduated" out of there! Not only are they super friendly but they are very caring and also have a sense of humor. The visits were always quick and down to the point. I hope I never break a bone again but if something happens, this will be the place I come too! Dr. Gill is amazing , he is who I always saw????

They took my info right away at reception desk. It wasn’t long before I went to the insurance desk, then only waited 5 or 10 minutes, before the nurse called my name, went for X-ray then dr (or PA came in) reassured me it wasn’t broken answered my questions and then I was released assured nothing was broken after a biking accident with a knot and terrible bruising.

This post has nothing to do with the professional staff members that I have seen and are available at Watauga Orthopedics. My doctor Mr. Hurst and physical therapist Mrs Lamb are great and very thorough.
My dislike with Watauga Orthopedics is their administrative management of short term disability claims and the use of a third party administrator. To initiate a claim there is a $30 fee and every time there is an update needed there is a $15 fee. To me this is ridiculous and a total rip off. This is like paying a doc fee when you purchase a car. To me this is not customer service.
Again this rating has no reflection whatsoever on the professional services that have been provided to me

Doctor was great BUT the wait, once admitted into check in room after nurse talked to us, was TOO long. We waited for doctor for an hour and 20 minutes. Great staff though and friendly. Communication could be better if long wait times are expected or staff is short handed.
