Two different consultants advised me of two different protocols and contradicted each other. I was out on the ‘short’ protocol and at my follow up was told that that doctor had ‘retired’ and that they wouldn’t have put me on short protocol. I wasn’t given any advice or treatment about other considerations such as thyroid, Vitamin D, let alone fluid and protein intake. I got 2 day 5 blastocysts - but after changing clinics I got 5 day 5 blastocysts and 3 day 6 blastocysts at my new clinic. The admin team chased me for payment on frozen embryo storage, after I had left the clinic and didn’t have any embryos left there! When I queried it they had to get the embryology team to double check!!! Very unprofessional and mostly unfriendly nurses including one who had long fake nails and didn’t wash hands before taking bloods.

Horrific experience. Would not recommend to anybody, however desperate they were. Spent over a year undergoing treatment here and received worst possible service every step of the way. Cannot warn against LFC enough, especially when I compare it to my most recent experience elsewhere, which was flawless by comparison and I am now mother to beautiful twin babies. LFC are negligent, understaffed, profit focused and we suffered terribly under their 'care'. I would not recommend this clinic to anybody.

We have just celebrated our daughter’s third birthday and we would never have had her if not for the Lister. Of course a successful outcome is amazing and what all patients wish for. We were lucky - I know not everyone is. However I have also been recommending the clinic to others in our situation because of the professional care and attention we received throughout what is an extremely emotional process. Everyone from the consultants, doctors and nurses through to the team on the finance desk who processed the (not insignificant!) fees was friendly and helpful. I felt I was in safe and expert hands, which is exactly what I needed. Thank you Lister.

Both my husband and I can’t recommend The Lister Fertility Clinic more highly. After starting our fertility journey at another clinic and being hugely disappointed from the outset we moved to The Lister and were under the expert care of Doctor Alison Taylor. Doctor Taylor was a consummate professional and empathetic to our situation. She thoroughly reviewed our medical history, suggested the appropriate tests and clearly and concisely walked us through the IVF process, success rates and costs which are all in a pack for you to takeaway and review. Upon reviewing our test results and bearing in mind we hadn’t been trying for long she suggested we continue trying naturally instead of embarking on costly treatment. However, because we were both in our mid forties she suggested if not successful naturally to do a round of IVF before my 45th birthday. After a spontaneous chemical pregnancy which was not viable we decided not to waste time and to proceed with IVF. Everyone at The Lister from the receptionists, nurses, sonographers, embryologists, pharmacists, and finance were super friendly and professional, taking time to discuss the procedure at hand - and throughout my treatment truly felt like my extended family. Aged 45 our fertility journey ended with the birth of a healthy baby girl this summer. We will be forever grateful to the many people at The Lister that made our dream of having our own family come true.

Awful experience at LFC from start to finish - waiting times appalling, duty of care from doctors negligent and management of egg collection cycle haphazard. Of the two collections I underwent, no eggs were collected at the first and just five at the second, which because two embryos, which resulted in one failed transfer and one devastating miscarriage. Underwent treatment at another clinic and had 21 eggs collected first collection, of which 11 became viable genetically screened embryos. 2 of those embryos are now 3 month old twins and we still have 9 embryos frozen. I cannot warn anybody against LFC enough. I left with nothing to show for me year long treatment there except a heavy heart, depression and a total loss of hope. It has taken until now for me to feel up to making a complaint to HCA Healthcare. They shouldn't be able to get away with treating desperate women and couples this way.

I cannot recommend the Lister highly enough. I started my IVF journey with another clinic but was unhappy with their service and after two unsuccessful attempts moved over to the Lister. I immediately felt very confident with the Lister's approach, along with their commitment to helping all those facing fertility issues. Of course, IVF is a challenging time and the results are not always the ones you hope for, but I always felt that our consultant, Dr Shabana Bora, went above and beyond in terms of working with us and helping us through the process. I'd also like to thank all the staff that worked alongside her - from Erica in the lab to Liz the sonographer. I always felt that everyone there really wanted us to succeed. An eminent medical professional in the fertility field described the Lister to us as the "John Lewis" of fertility clinics, which I understood to mean reliable, good quality, with exceptional customer service. I couldn't agree more. Our family is now complete, courtesy of the Lister, but if we did want to add to it we would be straight back there.

I approached The Lister Hospital for a second opinion after treatment at another London Fertility Clinic was unsuccessful and a local Clinic were unable to treat me due to my erratic hormone levels. I have a very low egg reserve and needed a clinic who specialised in this area. I initially had a zoom consultation with Dr Gavin Kemball to talk through my options and was very impressed with the care and compassion he showed towards me and my situation in that first meeting. He made me feel at ease and was sympathetic towards me, even talking to me about my early menopause concerns and offering to help with this should my results show my FSH scores had increased further. I found that previous consultants did not seem concerned about my health or the emotional impact of all the treatments, so speaking to Dr Kemball was so refreshing and what I really needed at that moment in time. He had great knowledge on the area of premature ovarian failure, he answered all my questions with straight answers, was realistic which I appreciated and recommended due to my symptoms that I be tested for Fragile X as well as repeat my FSH levels. Fortunately I was negative for Fragile X which can affect a woman's ovaries, but I was really grateful he considered this as previous clinics had not even mentioned this condition which can lead to mental retardation in children. Dr Kemball again showed he was genuinely concerned about me and my family (the condition can pass to boys and I have two sons). After test results showed my FSH levels were within the normal range it was agreed if my Fragile X results were also negative, I would stand a chance of producing eggs. I felt that The Lister would only treat me if I had a chance of success. I felt my previous Clinic were more focused on receiving money and would not give me straight answers re my chances of success which I found very frustrating as time went by. As I was waiting to sign up to a course of treatment at The Lister I actually found out that I was pregnant, naturally. I contacted my previous clinic (who i am still under!) but they were unable to help scan me or give advice re progesterone as it wasn't included in 'my package', as the pregnancy had happened outside of a cycle and that's when I turned back to The Lister for help. I'd only had a consultation and two blood tests with them at this point but Dr Kemball's amazing secretary Julia Well's was super fast to call me with Fragile X results after I told her I was anxious about the results now being pregnant. I also asked if I could please have some advice on progesterone and asked for a prescription and this was sent back from a consultant the same day after I explained that my levels were low and I had miscarried previously. The Lister made every effort to help me, even though I was not yet signed up to an IVF programme with them. I can't describe what it meant to have such kindness and care shown to me as a time I was feeling drained after three unsuccessful IVF cycles at another Clinic. As I write this I'm sitting here 7 weeks pregnant and whilst the Lister Clinic did not 'make me pregnant' they helped me feel relaxed, listened to and I'm convinced the progesterone they got to me quickly may have made a difference to the success of this pregnancy. I would not hesitate to recommend them, especially to ladies with low ovarian reserve and if I need any further help or advice I will definitely be going back to see Dr Kemball and the super efficient Julia Wells. Thank you, sincerely for everything, Claire.

Good clinic overall. Positives: 1. The sonographers team is amazing, all of them (Erica, Liz, Jaliah, Allison, etc.). You have an option of seeing the same person for scans throughout the cycle. It is a pure delight to interact with them. 2. The consultants are highly qualified and experienced. It is my understanding that they work as a team so your progress in a cycle is reviewed by a different doctor every time you visit. However, your treatment and options can be discussed with the same consultant (and probably this is what is recommended). We were mostly under the guidance of Dr Shabana Bora and found her extremely knowledgeable, helpful, thorough and empathetic. 3. It is my understanding that the embryology team is very good even though I don't know if there have been any changes to it recently. 4. The reception team is delightful and helpful, Arabella is a sweetheart. Mixed experience: Nurses There is quite a bit of heterogeneity in the quality and reliability of nurses. Some of them are obviously exceptional. However, we also dealt with nurses who were not so exceptional but rather somewhat sloppy -- gave us incorrect instructions or a wrong prescription or forgot to inform us of something important. Luckily, we were always on top of things due to our previous experience and it was easy for us to resolve these issues by double-checking with a doctor on duty or our consultant. It is therefore my recommendation that you always understand every detail of your treatment to avoid any potential errors and misunderstandings. Don't hesitate to ask questions and probe for information.

I think they changed their egg collection protocol and sedation drugs because of Covid-19. The deep sedation and the drugs they are using now are brutal -- made me depressed and lethargic for days after the procedure while in previous egg collections pre-covid I recovered immediately with no effect on my mood. .

We went to Lister 4 years ago and as a result we have our boisterous 3 year old! I honestly couldn’t fault the service we received. We had 1 full round of IVF and from that had 3 frozen transfers. We joke that the clinic was so perfect right down to the Molton Brown in the bathrooms. The service was so personal the nurses new us by name and we got to see the same people at appointments. We would certainly reccomend!

I have a wonderful toddler because of Consultants Shabana Bora and Marie Wren. Their fantastic skills enabled me to get to a place where i could have a child and my dream came true. Marie was so patient and listened, so authentic and practical. Shabana was so dedicated and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible for me. I felt so safe in her care. I am a single parent and i am grateful every day to these brilliant dedicated professionals who helped me to have my amazing son.

All. I write to advise you to avoid Lister . avoid the head consultant James Nicopoullos. avoid Dr Marie Wren. But most importantly avoid Lister ! You need professional , attentive , consistent and premium treatment during ivf and our experience will show Lister do not care to provide this . We received alarming test results which were “the lowest reading we had ever received” - but they failed to act on these paid for tests resulting in wasted embryos . Avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid ! As background, during our last FET HRT cycle on the Lister clinical team failed to: 1) Adequately read our file and historical information in preparation for the FET cycle. The Lister team failed to learn from the basic progesterone blood test levels taken in June and failed to adapt the drugs protocol accordingly for the July for the FET, impairing our chance of success. What makes the above even worsens that In June when the Lister recommended a progesterone blood test pre the ERA biopsy, it came back at 0.6 ml. Despite paying for this test The insufficient reading was never identified - either The Lister team failed to read or failed to act on this blood test result. This pattern of low progesterone levels, despite administering cyclogest, only came to the discussion after I had to probe the nurse team and Dr Bora (the day after the FET) as to why we were dealing with a surprise blood result. At this point we’d undergone not one but two consultations with Marie Wren (all charged and paid for ) to strategically plan for the use of our three remaining embryos. There should have been no surprises at this point given the learnings from the ERA cycle. Furthermore, during this exchange Dr Bora described the 0.6ml reading as “the lowest reading she had ever seen” . Quite the statement from an experienced Doctor. Dr Marie Wren advised us that Lister would review Their process here in light of our experience . Lister have clearly failed to follow a logical process which would be apparent to any reasonable mind . We do not believe Lister have amended anything to date .

Thank you to Dr Marie Wren and the team for all you have done in making it happen, more than once! Your approach, values and caution in safety and well-being is how you differ. It is disappointing to read some emotionally charged reviews though it is a stressful time for most. The doctors/consultants are professionals, and determined in helping you cross the line. What more do you want?! prices are clear and are in line with others. You go in regularly for tests so of course you see a spectrum of staff members but the doctors are continuously working behind the scenes so please don’t knock them. And the waiting time is not long. May be if you miss your slot you will have to wait to be seen until another becomes available. There is no point going through all this if you can not sit down, and are not in the right mindset. Friends who have not reviewed have been extremely happy with their experiences at The Lister. Don’t hesitate to ask them questions, try to be positive, confident and stay calm! Good luck to all

I definitely recommend Lister, although there were a few things that can be improved such as wait times, receptionists etc.. Our sonographer Jalia was absolutely brilliant, so knowledgeable, and incredibly reassuring at what can be a difficult time in anyone's life. I felt very comfortable and definitely felt I was in safe hands. All the nurses were also very nice and helpful.

A good clinic for IVF but what they don't tell you is that they don't do egg collections on Sunday. This means you can be unlucky and the timing they arrange for your egg collection will not be optimal -- they would either collect eggs too early (Saturday) or too late (Monday), which will inevitably result in a smaller quantity and a lower quality of embryos produced later. This happened to us. I am sure it happened to other people there too. Had to move to another clinic.

Absolutely outstanding. Faultless from start to finish. In the months I had contact with the clinic I encountered so many staff and each and every one - no matter their role - was friendly, sensitive, warm, organised, efficient. I miss several of them and wish I could continue to keep contact throughout my pregnancy. Thank you Dr Wren and team. I'm eternally grateful for all your care and attention. I felt very lucky to receive treatment with you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the clinic to others.

We had a great experience here - had a personality clash with the first doctor we saw but then had a great consultant, saw him for every visit (unlike other reviews on this site) and had success. Yes, the wait times can be long but it had a nice feel to it. Also, from what I've heard they are a lot more relaxed in terms of their approach outside of the medicine - they told me to relax and live my life as normally as possible which was great, no strange diets or yoga poses!

Overall we had such an excellent service from the Lister. All the Drs, nurses and sonographers did an outstanding job with providing support on our fertility journey. Maria, you are such a kind, warm hearted, honest nurse. Thank you for being our rock. Erika, you were with us from the very start and we will cherish those memories. Alison, I loved hearing the stories about your beautiful cats whilst being scanned :) good luck with your yoga adventure and thanks to the rest of the team for being so supportive and professional. The clinic is very good. The main advantage of it is the fact that all doctors work together as a team. As a results patients are seen when it is best for them (unlike in other clinics -some of which put patients on the pill to regulate period to fit their schedule). As a results I have seen more than one doctor but it was better as I got amazing results with 13 eggs frozen (I am almost 37). Dr Wren worked very hard with the whole team to get the max number of eggs. All doctors and nurses are highly regarded and are very approachable. Lister have latest equipment. I have friends who have babies using Lister. See my IG jojostyle28 for further details.I am going back in Feb for the next round

I was able to get pregnant on my second IVF attempt, and I can only credit Dr Nicopoullos and his personalised attention to our treatment. We started our IVF journey with the Lister Clinic, and after our first attempt, Dr. Nicopoullos noticed something irregular with my husband's fertility that came up. He sent us to his trusted colleague, one of the top Urologist specialists in London. Upon that reference, we were able to address my partner's issues and attempt our second IVF. Without that being spotted, we would not have been able to be successful in our IVF attempts. I was also very anxious about starting the emotional roller coaster again, and had delayed my second attempt for nearly a year - it was his empathetic manner that gave me the support and courage to start again. His attention to detail and dedication to our personalised treatment made our second attempt successful. We can't thank him and his team enough for our first baby boy who is due in August!

After 5 years of unsuccessful IVF attempts in France, we moved to London and registered with the Lister Clinic 18 months ago. We are now expecting a baby girl for end of April! We cannot praise enough the quality of the clinic and its great staff. The medical staff is highly skilled, very human and shows a lot of empathy. All the explanations provided were always clear, we felt very well supported every step of the way. The process is structured and organised and it is reassuring to see that you are being very well taken care of. All in all, we cannot think of a better team to have accompanied us for such an emotionally and sometimes physically exhausting journey!

Questionable wait times at this clinic, especially given that women are paying thousands of pounds for a private treatment. 3 hours to see a nurse?? The whole industry seems to be completely unregulated and understaffed. On a more positive note, the doctor we have been dealing with (Alison Taylor) has been fantastic. If you can put up with the shambolic wait times for a nurse and don't hold down a full time job to pay for this then go ahead!

We had been on our fertility journey in Dorset for 2.5 years with 2 unsuccessful rounds of ICIS before going to the Lister hospital to Dr James Nicopoullus and his team. We have been under his team for 2.5years and cannot thank them enough for our precious daughter. As we are satellite patients we have our scans /blood tests done in Dorset but we have a lot of communication by phone and email to the Lister nurses, and through every step of the way we had felt at ease, had great support and care and help from him and his team.

I cannot thank the team at the Lister enough. We came here after three failed cycles of ICSI and were devastated and heartbroken as we were (relatively) young a more positive prognosis had been expected when we began. The Lister was recommended to me by a friend of a friend who had her baby with them and they too had been up against it. She spoke of the compassion she experienced with Dr. Wren and I have to say I couldn't agree more. I work in health and am not afraid to speak up if I am not happy. I was also a bit stressed at the idea of going abroad. The nursing staff and embryology were outstanding. The level of clinical care is excellent and they actually made it easier than in my home country extending warmth, efficiency and flexibility explaining complex instructions by speaker phone, if I couldn't make the call in working hours they rang back and no matter how busy they were I knew they would call. It's a service I could place my trust in. The team couldn't work harder on your behalf but hold a space for empathy but with a calm equanimity. Surgically, there was no comparison - I used to walk home after egg collection - a good half hour walk whereas previously I'd have been hobbling for a couple of days. We, against all odds had our twin girls with Dr. Wren and the team. On cycles where it hadn't worked as expected the embryology were 'don't give up hope'. That and their highly professional attitude helps more than anything they will every know. It hadn't been my experience elsewhere and we sought several second opinions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Wren and the team and have done so. The cost of fertility are shocking but this clinic was no more expensive than anywhere else we had been or looked at. We were stretched and with time and money you have to make careful choices and I am so glad we went to the Lister. I had no issue with cover on the occasion where it arose but have to say Dr. Wren is second to none - and I say that despite having had difficult conversations with her, she remained open and every now and again I get an email enquiring after the girls and wishing us luck (we are not done yet I hope... and I wouldn't go anywhere else) And the best of luck to anyone reading this..

Unacceptably brutal, it was not necessary. Since we have moved on somewhere else and it is going well. It felt that some consultants and member of staff have lost sense of reality. As others we also faced their bureaucracy and their eager to sell their sperm bank. It was reported to us that a good number of their ex-clients (patients) have moved on to Spain to avoid their egg sharing business.

We found the care and attention we were given at the Lister Clinic to be excellent. We have unfortunately had to undergo IVF treatment a number of times, and everything was very professional, clear and caring. We are not just saying this because we had a successful live birth - we would have made the same comments after our first failed attempt at IVF at this clinic. Of particular note is Mr Mahmoud Tolba - our consultant who was direct, honest and also very encouraging and kind. All the IVF nurses were excellent too.

This is the clinic with the highest number of consultants and nurses I've ever seen and the less efficient ... a big disappointment. During your cycle you will see at every appointment a different doctor or nurse. Repeating same conversations over and over again with each doctor since they don't take any notes. They are rushing all the time and to speak to a doctor you have to wait hours. Literally a doctor that never seen you before will decide your next step after having a quick look at your file. Be prepared to take a lot of time off from work since early appointments are very rare. The lack of monitoring is seriously worrying I had many cancelled cycles here comparing to other clinics. They have a standard blood test/scan system that use for every patient, nothing is personalized. They are not worried if you waste your money. On my first cycle my consultant couldn't remember what protocol she put me on. First blood test on day 7.. that was a cancelled cycle... and the second too. Witnessed a lady going for embryo transfer and cancel because embryologist mixed fresh with frozen embryos. On another occasion one of the consultants told me the full bladder was needed for me to see the operation on the screen!!! Yes really... They almost never reply to emails and some doctors are very rude and don't like to be questioned or tell you to go somewhere else. Prices for blood tests are the highest sometimes double compared to other clinics. The positive side they have some lovely nurses and a free counselling service and after a few months at the Lister you will need it.

I had a fantastic treatment in the clinic. They were not only experienced and knowledgeable but they made me feel very calm from the beginning. Specially Sonia Fuentes who was extremly profesional and caring in every appointment. Dr James Nicoupollos gave us clear advice of our options which were not the most expensive options available. It reassured me that they care more about the patient and the results than the money. That’s very refreshing to find. I have now a beautiful baby boy thanks to them and I will never forget how well they treated us through the process. Thanks!!

Limited information available online. When tried to schedule an appointment, after filling out a long form online, required to make a paypal payment before anyone contacted me or I could even understand when appointments are available or what the paypal charge is for?! Certainly seems to support the other reviews of "all about the fees". Never encountered a situation of having to send a online payment in order to book a consultation. Wow

My wife went trough hell with them ...rushed process, blood tests lost, long waits, Rude staff ( not all, but enough ) .....just imagine that they all rely on luck and their success is measured in probabilities. The failure is also explained by probabilities. They don’t have any fault...you should know your odds. Lister is relying heavily on this. If you use them I wish you good luck.

I had a very good experience at the Lister Fertility Clinic. I did see quite a few members of the nursing team who were all pleasant and helpful. I was always seen by the same consultant for appointments and I found the secretaries very helpful. I was made aware from the start of treatment that the doctors work as a team and therefore my consultant may not perform my egg collection or embryo transfer. However, I was told that if I specifically wanted my doctor to perform the embryo transfer I could ask, it may not be possible but no harm in asking. My cycle was unsuccessful but I will definitely be returning for another cycle to the Lister. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Raef Faris, Mr James Nicopoullos, sonographer Alison Thomas and nurse Nikita.

Wonderful, I have a beautiful granddaughter. Terrible clinic and Dr James Nicoupoullos added to this- avoid at all costs. Had 1 round of IVF here and 2 frozen transfers. I am now 10 weeks pregnant but would never go back here, and would tell anyone considering treatment to avoid this place. Wait times are ridiculous, sometimes we waited for up to 3 hours with little or no apology. As mentioned in other reviews, you rarely see the same Dr again, no care or attention is given to your individual case you are just another person having treatment. Drs are always in a rush, it is just a churn through service. I have a pre-existing medical condition and various errors were made throughout my treatment as no one ever read my notes or took the time to look through my background. No personalised care. TERRIBLE avoid at all costs. Only plus side was the nurses and sonographers were very nice.

We had several rounds of IVF at the Lister a few years ago and were lucky enough to have a son in 2011. We had not clicked with out first consultant and a benefit of the Lister is that there are several doctors and consultants so we were able to change to Alison Taylor who we cannot fault as she is professional, calm and empathetic. The surgery staff were all kind and caring as were the vast majority of the nurses. I really liked having the same sonographer at every appointment too and felt I was kept in the loop at every stage. The process does feel rather like being on a conveyor belt - hard to avoid when so many people are being treated in one place. The facilities were clean and tidy and although my appointments sometimes started late the waiting times were not excessive in my experience, it kind of comes with the territory when you're in a hospital environment. I would definitely recommend the Lister to anyone who found a consultant there specialising in the right area of fertility for them and even more so if they lived within easy travelling distance as you have to travel back and forth quite a bit during treatment.

Nice clinic but our blastocyst didn't attach, two weeks later I went for a scan elsewhere for a check up and they discovered a big polyp, quite suprised how the Lister didn't discover it considering how many scans they were doing, as it couldve made alot of difference to the outcome of my treatment, if Id removed the polyp pre-treatment.

The doctors are good and friendly. They put me on maximum treatment to get the most eggs. The waiting time is ridiculous for nurses. forget about your day job. The operation room is awesome, they also give you your own room for recovery and they have a pharmacy on site. Not a bad experience at all, i loved IVF even though i was not successful. They also have a psychologist you can talk to but dont share too much she might report your emotional status to the doctor who could stop your treatment

We used this clinic last year and we were under dr james for ivf treatment, initial appointments blood tests and scans went well untill egg collection, but then everything else changed when we reached embroy stages because their was no eggs to transfer and we were gutted and heartbroken, but yet not been offered any help how to cope with the bad news although we spend 6-7k, i wonder weather i could have been used the money somewhere abroad which would be cheaper for us. This clinic is really expensive one compare to others yet not even better if not worse. Would not recommend it at all. I don't do google reviews normally but this time ive felt i should if it could help others who are in the same journey suffering from low overian reserve and btw we are young couple late 20s. I though we stand a chance in this clinic taking consideration into our age but that was not the case and i feel the dr should have used other motheds and protocols but instead used the almost similar protocol with my previews dr for almost double the price.

My wife and I met Dr Mahmoud Tolba at the Lister Fertility about a year ago. We had exhausted our three rounds of IVF with the NHS. We were pretty exhausted ourselves and we were low on hope with regards to the prospect of being able to have our own children. The way Dr Mahmoud Tolba listened and then spoke to us was so positive. It was full of common sense, doses of reality but also doses of hope. We had one frozen embryo left and we were looking where to go to give that embryo a shot at life - outside the NHS. Because of our meeting with Mahmoud we chose the Lister Fertility Clinic. We left our meeting with him that day full of positivity and renewed hope that we had not yet come to the end of the road with our journey to have our own child. So, I am now very proud and pleased to tell you that the procedure was a success and we now have a beautiful baby daughter! She is 1 month old. Massive thanks to Dr Mahmoud Tolba and the entire team at LFC. I can't recommend them enough.

After 6 fertility treatments at 2 other clinics elsewhere, this clinic in 3 cycles gave me two precious boys in 2013 and 2015

We were amazed by the service from the whole team - from the nurses, the sonographers, the embryologists, and our fertility doctor, Dr. Nicopoullos. We felt at ease from the very beginning all the way through the journey. Dr Nicopoullos is one of the most understanding doctors we have seen, aware of such a sensitive, emotional experience for us to have to go through. We trusted his expertise from the way that he gave us our options and the facts based on our situation, in a realistic, constructive manner. He has always been at the end of the line, answering all of our many questions regarding the process. We would recommend the Lister clinic and Dr Nicopoullos to others having to go down this path - we trust them 100% with this very important journey for us - to create our family.

Avoid at all costs. This clinic is very dishonest. For the price you pay service is awful and there is no attention to detail. Blood tests are not frequent enough for monitoring and they do not do bloods on Sundays despite their website saying they offer 7 day service. On querying my monitoring scan as I was worried about progress one of the Drs actually reluctantly admitted that no drs had reviewed my scans that day - only a nurse. This is again contradicting what they advertise - as they tell you all scans and bloods are reviewed by drs on the same day. Untrue!

It may seem a bit hypocritical but I feel the need to update my review. Following on from the review below we went back for our final frozen embryo transfer. During which I had the same sonographer throughout, who I have got to say was lovely. I was seen on time at each appointment and was given the right medication. The day of transfer the appointment was on time and done with such care and attention to detail and precision. My final two embryos survived the freeze. The whole process was a very different experience. I felt that the staff who I came in to contact with all showed person centred care and genuinely cared about their job. I also got my positive and I'm very close to having our little miracle so a big thank you to all at the Lister. I do still stand by the following review and there was one area of concern. I do experience problems with my thyroid and a routine follow up blood test may have helped. However I did request one which showed as significantly high. This was communicated to me via letter. A high thyroid level may result in miscarriage. After facing male infertility and being told I had low reserve we accessed this clinic. So for the positives we did well with our 1st round and achieved 4 5 day blasts. I was really happy. However our 1st cycle failed and we've had a failed FET. I have very mixed emotions about the place. The waiting times are ridiculous. At the time of transfer on our last FET I needed to tell the Dr's I needed medication or I would have gone without. For the follow up after our 2nd BFN we arrived at the clinic to be told we were on the wrong day. Definitely not! The Dr was to busy to see us. We were eventually seen nearly 2hours later. The Dr's do seem to know what they are talking about but I've got niggles and I'm not 101% confident.
