I would give ten stars if I could. Nicky has a natural humanistic approach to her therapy which is refreshing and shows that she really does care. The acupuncture also helped me with long term skin conditions which I am so thankful for. I was shocked at how quickly I felt better, especially with the years of western meds only masking issues. I can't recommend her enough!

I have been seeing Nicky for a couple of years now, and she always manages to find the right treatment for how I am feeling and what is going on for me at that time.
Her treatments are always highly effective and multi dimensional. Since I have been coming to Nicky she has helped me with a range of issues including high blood pressure, back neck and shoulder pain, digestive issues, and sinus / snoring issues.
Whats more I always feel that Nicky is 100% client focused and puts everything in to her sessions.
I feel a better and richer person for having gone to Nicky for my acupuncture treatments.

Nicky is the best acupuncturist out there. She has given me excellent treatments that have been life changing as well as excellent lifestyle and nutritional advice.
Since seeing Nicky she has manage to reduce painful bound skin around my abdomen and has increased my circulation (I know longer have cold hands and feet) and I feel happier and have way more energy. I cannot thank her enough for what she has done for me!! She is a life saver!

Nicky has been my acupuncturist for about 2 years. She has helped me with a lot of health issues ( menstrual problems, eye infections , neck pain, headaches, digestiv problems ) I can't thank her enough ! She is an excellent acupuncturist. I highly recommend her!

Personally, I did not have a positive experience seeing Nicky for acupuncture. During treatment, I was subjected to a barrage of Covid conspiracy theories. The angry ranting, while putting dozens of needles in me, was not only unprofessional, it was disturbing and upsetting. I did not feel safe or looked after and consequently, didn’t come back for more.

I was quite hesitant about writing this review as I know these are difficult times. However, it has now been one week since I met Dr Nicky for the first time and still feel deeply uncomfortable just thinking about the encounter I had with her.
I booked a session with her in order to help a bit with the stress and anxiety I had been experiencing. Just after arriving, I was told it was okay for me to take my mask off during this time, which I did. (I am 26 and in good health overall)
Not long after, Dr Nicky started talking about how masks are absolutely useless in the case of a pandemic and how the science behind them was wrong? I felt a bit disturbed by these statements but Dr Nicky had been nice so far and I tried to move on.
I trusted her and opened up about the reasons for my anxiety and was very transparent about suffering from an eating disorder for which I am being treated by a specialised doctor.
Suddenly, Dr Nicky reinvented herself as a nutritionist and crossed so many lines by telling me what to eat and when to eat for 40 MINUTES!!
Surely if the solution of my disorder was in eating 3 meals a day I would have figured it out by now? She made me deeply uncomfortable and kept saying that my legs looked unhealthy because of my weight which was going to lead to pulmonary consequences in the future. (Even if this is true, she delivered it in a very abrupt and apathetic manner)
I also told her about the amount of weight I had put on during lockdown and why this was stressful for me, to which she replied “wow that’s A LOT of kilos!!”. Again, not very tactful.
After 40 minutes of being lectured and not being able to say anything without being spoken over, I thought I was going to leave and cry as this was such an emotional wreckage. When I was about to put a stop to this and leave, Dr Nicky offered to start the acupuncture treatment which helped with the stress she had created in the first place.
If you’re suffering with a physical injury, perhaps Dr Nicky is effective. But when it comes to treating or even discussing mental health, RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION.

I’ve suffered from nerve pain on the left side of my face since I was 12 years old and in four sessions Nicky was able to completely eliminate the pain. I just don’t know what to say, it’s an amazing and emotional thing for me, since I’ve experienced so much pain before. I haven’t had the pain in years after seeing Nicky but I still visit her from time to time for other treatments. I highly recommend her, she is professional, friendly, kind and very gentle. Nicky is fantastic. She has treated me for several reasons...
1. Broken heart - using the Internal Dragon technique, which I found moving and emotional, leaving me with a warm and cathartic feeling inside. Highly recommend if you're still feeling a little blue about an ex-partner.
2. Tics - this has been temporally helpful, but far from cured. I have found a lot of benefits from this treatment though, and feel less tension after several sessions. Perhaps a third visit may get rid of them. I certainly have made some improvements and feel good about using a holistic method to treat this, as there are not many alternative treatments for tics out there.
Overall, Nicky is very professional and takes the time to get to know you and what treatment is best for you. She gave me a really helpful list of foods which are good for the 'spleen', which I have implemented into my diet, and feel I have made positive changes through this.
I have always felt comfortable and inspired during my visits and would recommend her to anyone who like to try an alternative therapy.

I can honestly say that Nicky changed my life for the better!
I have suffered allergic eczema for years and have endured constantly dry and itching skin and anxiety. Prescribed steroid creams and courses of steroid tablets had been taken to no avail. It was affecting every aspect of my life and I really thought there was nothing left that would help me.
Nicky was recommended to me and I gave acupuncture a try as a last resort. How I wish i had done it sooner!
I would never have believed it before but Nicky has, with acupuncture and advice on diet, given me back healthy skin with no eczema, no dryness and very little itching.
Not only that, but I look and feel better than i have done for many years. The compliments have been flowing!
I advise anyone with eczema or allergies to give it a try. I know a lot of people who accept their skin condition as something they have to live with. Well, I am proof that there is an alternative. Plus, Acupuncture is surprisingly relaxing and energising in general and Nicky is a very gifted practitioner.

After years of suffering due to a serious car accident I had, decided to give acupuncture a try, with little to no hopes really. Nicky was confident from the beginning that the problem on my severely damaged collar bone will be dealt effectively. I trusted my instinct to put faith on Nicky and the result was unbelievable. The pain was decreased 80% and my arm feels alive and part of my body again. All those years after the accident, the damaged area was feeling restrained, weak, not healthy and really painful. Nicky managed to release all that pressure to my collar bone with only a few months of treatment. With her kind and understanding personality she gave me hope and with her treatment I feel like my arm was brought back to life. Nicky 5 stars are not enough for you, thank you so much...!

I'm a Cleft Lip & Palate patient and after years of trying different ways to get rid of my deep tissue scars left from surgeries I decided to try cosmetic acupuncture with Nicky. After just a few treatments I noticed a big improvement, I was so impressed I carried on. I couldn't believe the difference, my scars now have faded so much I don't notice them! Nicky has also treated my active acne and has significantly improved the appearance of my acne ice pick scars. Highly recommend, she works miracles!! x

I started seeing Nicky after I was recommended by a friend. First I came for my back problems (lower and middle back pain) which I had had for over a year. It was hurting when I would bend, sit or pick things up. This pain was completely relieved in 3 treatments. I felt great after those 3 sessions so I asked her if she could help me lose weight with acupuncture and she said she could. I carried on with acupuncture for weight loss. My weight was 202 ibs and I am 175 lbs now. It took a little over 3 months to lose the weight. She reduced my sugar cravings immediately with the first treatment and they stayed away throughout treatment and even beyond. It has been over 2 years and the weight has still not returned. With the back pain, I still get it every so often because I do a lot of lifting for my job. When I get it I go and see Nicky and she gets rid of it in one treatment. Nicky is very kind, friendly and good listener. She cares about her patients. I can highly recommended her. Thank you so much for your help Nicky.

A friend suggested that I visit Nicky and in all honesty at this point I felt like I had nothing to lose. After six sessions I had my life back. I had been prescribed antibiotics for six years at this point; it was the only way I could remain pain free. Not any longer. I haven't taken antibiotics in three months and I am pain/problem free. Everyone should try this alternative to western medicine, it sure has changed my life!

I have been going to Nicky for 5 Years. First coming with severe lower back pain and chronic prostatitis. Later on I experienced severe abdominal pain, she not only managed to successfully treat all three, she also helped improve my overall wellbeing and energy levels through acupuncture. Cure for frozen shoulder!!!
For over 25 years I did not have full range use of my right arm, I saw physiotherapist, osteopaths and chiropractors unfortunately none were able to help for this area. After one treatment with Nicky I was totally shocked, her treatment was little short of a miracle. I thoroughly recommend The Giving Tree!!!

I'm writing this review because I just wanted to say thank you to Nicky for making me look and feel better.
I think her cosmetic acupuncture treatments are great and that everyone should try at least one. They are so relaxing, and the best bit is that they're completely natural and in fact good for you. In the days following the treatment, I feel energised and my mind seems clearer, my body even feels healthier. It's really good stuff and even though it seems like it would be painful, it's not! Matter of fact, it's really relaxing.
So far I have had three cosmetic acupuncture facials with Nicky, and they have all been wonderful and powerful. I went for my third one, because due to working so much recently the dark circles under my eyes were becoming worse and worse. I couldn't bare them anymore and turned to Nicky for help, and it was amazing. Within days of the treatment, my dark circles had improved so much that I had almost forgot that I ever had them. They look so much better now.
In each facial, Nicky also works on wrinkles. Last time it was my crow's feet, and this time it was my forehead wrinkles which I've had nearly all my life. But since the facial, which was three weeks ago now, I can see that my forehead wrinkles have faded and are less deep. I can't believe it. I thought these wrinkles could only get worse not better. It's exciting that there's something natural that can do this.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but mainly I just wanted to recommend Nicky and her lovely facials. Try one, you won't regret it!

My first acupuncture with Nicky was almost 2 years ago now, to treat some persistent cold and flu symptoms. After the unbelievable success Nicky had in helping me get rid of a cough that had persisted for 5 years, I've been having weekly or bimonthly sessions with her which has proved powerful in improving my general health, letting go of some emotional trauma which caused an anxiety which prevented me from having healthy relationships, as well as helping me quit smoking and healing my lungs thereafter.
Nicky is an very open and friendly person and i have recommended her to several friends who have shared a similar experience of success with a wide range of issues - from purely physical to emotional and mental problems. After seeing my improvement, Nicky recommended I try an exercise similar to Tai Chi called Qi Gong to increase the benefit of the acupuncture, and since then the quality of my life has improved drastically on all fronts. All in all, meeting Nicky has been a life changing experience and my visits to her warm, homey clinic continue to benefit me on a daily basis.

I first went to Nicky for a chronic skin complaint two years ago. I had had acne and rosacea for 23 years. Within 8 treatments, my skin had almost completely cleared, and from that point on I have been back for regular treatments (around once a month), and the acne/rosacea has since been kept at bay. It has really worked! Thank you Nicky.
As well, over the past couple of years, she has also helped me with few other issues such as painful periods, pain in my elbow and general stress. Matter of fact, just recently, Nicky treated me when I fell and bruised my ribs, which I was told by a doctor would take 3 to 6 weeks to heal - the only treatment being painkillers. After taking codeine for 3 days, I decided to go to Nicky. I just couldn't tolerate the pain. After just one treatment, the pain reduced by half. Then within the next 3 days, I had another couple of treatments, and the pain went down to almost nothing. I was able to do yoga within a week of the accident. I'm certain that that would not have been possible had it not been for the acupuncture.
The treatments are very relaxing, and the treatment room is lovely and peaceful.
I highly recommend The Giving Tree Acupuncture - Nicky works miracles!

I first went to Nicky a few months ago for some help with my gums. I had had a couple teeth extracted and afterwards my gums were really really swollen and very painful. It affected my sleep and it was really painful to eat. The dentist told me that it would be six weeks before the swelling went down completely. I just couldn't wait. I asked a friend if he had any suggestions, and he recommended I go see Nicky. I'm really glad I took his advice. After just one treatment my gums felt so much better. Even while I was laying there on the table the pain went down by half, and in three days the swelling was almost completely gone and there was no more pain. I couldn't believe it. I didn't have to wait even close to six weeks and I could eat again.
Then a few weeks ago I had problems with my knee. I'm not sure what I did but it was suddenly very painful when I kneeled down on the floor one day. Then the pain just seemed to get worse and stayed that way for over a week. I realised it wasn't going to go away then I remembered Nicky and what she did for my gums. She did the same thing for my knee. By the time the first treatment was over the pain went down by half and was even better after a couple of days. I went a few days later for a second treatment and after that one the pain in my knee was completely gone and never came back. Acupuncture and Nicky are amazing!

I went to see Nicky with severe migraines, after recommendation from a friend,who had been sucessfully treated with fibromyalgia.
The migraines at the time were daily ,caused me to be sensitive to light and sound, and manifest as a tight band around my head. I was finding it hard to function with little concentration.The pain was endless and analgesia wasnt helping .I was feeling very desperate.
Nicky on meeting was very clinically thorough ,knowledgeable ,kind ,reassuring and supportive .She put me at ease very quickly .After the first session my symptoms temporarily eased ,and when returned were less strong .
This process continued for 6 treatments .After each session the length each time would get longer till symptoms returned ,and the symptoms were milder than before .
Until i am happy to say my migraines completely stopped .Amazing ! Such a relief !
I have not had a reoccurrence of symptoms now in approximately 4 months .
Nicky throughout treatment has been very kind ,encouraging ,supportive and above all very effective !
I would highly recommend her ,and have since seen her for other health issues.She is a miracle worker !
