Wonderful experience. Very thorough and precise with my piercing and the staff were absolute angels. Cannot speak highly enough of their staff and how well trained they are. They were even kind enough to look after my drill that I stupidly left in their store whilst shopping! Thanks guys! 5 stars from me! *****

I have a BIG COMPLAINT about your company and their employees. About two weeks ago I booked an ear piercing for my daughter, this was to be a present - surprise for her First Holy Communion. We booked on the 23rd of August 4:30pm but arrived 1h earlier. At this time they wasn’t busy in the shop so the member of staff (Asian girl) let us get it done before time. In the beginning everything was good, she explain to us how going to be after care, we chose which earrings we would buy, she said that 18k 3mm ball will be better for my daughter because different between 9k earrings (£45) and 18k earrings (£58) just £10 (this is strange because on the end of this situation the receipt showed £45 for earrings and £15 for rapid lotion and the girl who’s booked for ear piercing she said this is inclusive in price). After the same member of staff marked my daughters ears, we checked how it was looking (she started to complain that my daughters lobes are different sizes), then she change the position slightly and invited her store manager to help her for ear piercing together at the same time. Of course, my daughter was scared and started to cry (normal emotions). The ladies started to count 5…4…3... the first one finished with 3 and the store manager finished with 1. Seems like everything went good, but…she wasn’t asking me the mother are you happy how is looking, or mum please check is good position, she just said to my daughter check yourself in the mirror and offered to her a lollipop. When the same girl went to till before I paid, I noticed that right ears earrings butterfly is much lower that left one and showed her that this is different than left ears earring. Her answer was:” it must be like this because when she’ll sleep the earring is going to hurt”. I was not happy how it looked but I'm not the professional and thought maybe I’m wrong, so I paid and we left the shop. When we returned home I checked again her ears and was right what I seen!!!! The left ears earring was straight, the right ears earring was ANGLED, and the mark place was below the piercing (I have pictures of this). I quickly run to another shop with my daughter to check for a professional opinion. In the other shop girls was shock they showed me where are mistakes, and said how it must be, what she should ask and was shocked how much I paid. My daughter started to cry as did i. Paying money for amazing experience and what I wanted for my daughter occasion was destroyed. On Monday morning my husband and daughter went back to the shop in Oxford street (even shop opening times on the web site being incorrect, having to wait 30min till shop opened) and there the another store manager on the day checked her ears and she saw the procedure was really bad. She apologised and said to my husband take it by himself earrings and refunded him the money back. Is nothing about money, is about my daughters feelings and emotions. We must now wait to ears to heal, and she now doesn’t want earrings at all!!!! This would have been our present for my daughters First Holly Communion, that she would never ever forget, successfully your incompetent staff member succeeded pierced her ears and what she felt!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL GO THERE!!!!!!! PLEASE PEOPLE MAKE SURE YOU KEEP AWAY BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO QUALIFIED MEMBERS OF STAFF!!!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good little branch, had a nice selection of reduced jewellery. The customer service was good and they were sticking to covid guidelines well.

Lots of lovely trinkets to buy, they were doing a buy 3 get 3 things free today but I managed to only buy what I went in for. Product I wanted was cheaper on line but they matched the lower price as long as i could show them the online deal

There needs to be an option to give 0 stars fr. The staff act all nice until you're paying but as soon as theres an issue they turn into monsters lol. Went to get a piercing but they messed it up, I was being nice and asked what we could do next, they 'tried' to convince me that the piercing was absolutely fine (even a child could tell it wasn't), then was advised that I could take that piercing out and come back later to get it re-pierced. The manager Sam said that they would 'unfortunately' have to do it for free since they messed it up, unfortunate for them but works for me anyway. That passive aggressiveness did not need to be there, but anyway, ignoring the unnecessary attitude I took the trouble to come back and still couldn't get it pierced because they didn't have the same stud so took a refund. Not to mention that I was not told to bring the solution and ear stud they gave at the first time, I had to make several trips home and back to finally get a refund. For me as a customer everything was fine, piercing pierced wrong was fine, not having the stud on the second visit was fine, having to make several trips home was fine but the unnecessary attitude was not working. If that how the managers are behaving then imagine the rest of the staff, no respect for customers and poor after sale service. One customer lost isn't going to affect them but it does affect your customers so sort your staff out. Other than that never had a problem with Claire's maybe because I hadn't gone for a refund but that was a first. The attitude needs a fix though asap.

To have a very special day ruined, we had booked Claire’s Oxford st to be a perfect end surprise to have our daughter’s holy communion and have her ears pierced which she had wanted, arrived early and went through the form filling, all seemed fine apart from the little one being nervous as one would expect , it wasn’t until after the piercing was carried out that we noticed one earring had been put in the wrong location and angle, this was highlighted straight away to the trained staff member who stated no it’s correct and how it should be this way or it would uncomfortable when sleeping, not being professionals we took the expert trained staffs word for it and left the shop, on viewing later we decided to get a second opinion from another shop that evening who confirmed our thoughts that it was completely incorrect, as it was a special day we had taken live shot photos of the procedure that actually shows the staff clearly piecing the ears at different times and angles, the following day having to take time from work returning to Claire’s the issue was raised with the store manager who immediately said it was incorrect and apologised, we chose to have them removed and refunded which was carried out, having an amazing day ruined we feel your staff should learn to carry out this procedure correctly and not lie that it’s incorrect in a professional capacity, especially as now the trauma that has been caused by her incompetence to carry out a simple procedure correctly our daughter now doesn’t want her ears touched. Well done Claire’s Oxford Street!! Sorry doesn’t cut it

The brand itself is good. But unfortunately the branch which I went is too bad. Been shopping at Claire’s for more than a decade. While we were in London all the floor staff was too nice and helpful. Recently went to the Coventry city centre branch and was asking for some hair related things and I checked with one of the staff. She said there is an offer going on ( buy 3 get 3 free) took 3 from the shop floor and there was anymore so went to one of the staff and asked her if she could check inside and she went I side with a angry face and later she came back and said there is none inside and she started asking me, why can't I take some other stuff instead of the same and I did I need the same one because my wife uses it is need more and that made her bit more.... The when I asked her when the store will be getting the deliveries so that I can come later and the reply surprised me and my daughter.. She simply said that she don't know when is the next delivery and I asked her again if she could checked it someone and she did she can't. To be frank I never such an experience like this in my life. The staff was so rude and arrogant. After that incident I stopped buying stuff from citycente branch.

The shop is very small and was very crowded. You could not enjoy looking at the accessories, because people bumped into you all the time. Also there were too many things to look at. You got distracted very easily.

I loved the fact they got two people to ear piece my 3 year old at the same time- but a bit too pricey though!

No matter how cutesy and juvenile it may seem, I like Claire's. The prices are decent, a lot of the jewelry is tasteful and pretty and there's always a bargain for you. I've gotten several pairs or earrings and a few hair accessories and they're all of good quality.

I went in for a second lobe earring and I was helped by a lovely lady (I think her name was JJ). I was a bit nervous but she was super lovely and patient. Really recommended!

Good store for hair and bits

Unprofessional lady called Nargis was not only unhelpful during our experience, but she also lied about many items which were on sale and some on the "buy one get another 50% off". Make sure you control her and check your bill carefully as she seems to be totally incompetent!

Partner purchased an item and the service was very good. The only downside was the item was overpriced.

Claire's is the best place for kids accessories but the aisles are so small, always bumping into people. Lovely staff in this particular branch.

Today my two sisters went to this shop to buy some presents, one of them took out of her bag a Pepsi bottle and as she opened she accidentally spilled some liquid on the floor. My other sister immediately went to the till and apologised with the staff and asked for some tissues to clean up the floor. She's been given some tissues so she started cleaning. The manager of the shop started cleaning as well. My sister felt mortified and apologised again with the manager but the girl completely ignored her. My other sister offered to clean up the floor since she it was her fault, but got ignored too. After a few moments both of my sisters and some other customers heard the manager saying "stupid" to my sister. At that point she left the tissues on the floor and left the shop mortified. I worked in retail for more than 10 years, as sales assistant, keyholder, supervisor, product training manager, and I've never heard someone saying such a ugly word to a costumer. I am disappointed and angry. Accidents can happen, it is not nice, but it can happen. The costumer must apologise if it's their fault, and my sister did, several times. But the manager it has been rude and very unpleasant to her. I will not visit that shop anymore. I will not recommend it to any of my friend. If you cannot be nice with your costumers you should know work in a shop, especially in Oxford Street.
