So some more update on the poor job this company did after them breaking my door to my home during install doing a poor install that coat me anthor 3,000 dollars to have fix by Connect heating and air that truly do great work and care about their customers my five year old furnace completely broke. All I can say spend your money some where else and get a quality product and service some where else this guys will just turn a simple job into a money pit. Can't wait to have the money to fix my door so I don't have to walk through it every day to remind daily of what cheap work these guys do.

Whipple came in to check my furnace. Needed to be replaced. Over 20 years old. This was Sunday that snowed and was 53 degrees inside the house. They promptly installed the the furnace that very day and did not leave until it was running. Awesome service. Service staff was very professional. I am happy with my choice.

I called them on Friday Oct 23 2020 to schedule an appointment. The appointment was set for Wednesday Oct 28 between 8am and 12noon. The service technician never called me 30 minutes before arriving. So, at 12:30 PM on the day of my appointment I called their office. They said they were too busy to come today and wanted to reschedule me for 8 days further out. I cannot recommend them or their service.

Super punctual and professional. Very polite and took all Covid precautions. Quickly able to diagnose A very obscure problem from past Experience. Other plumbers/Companies couldn’t get to the bottom of it. Showed me how to take care of it and didn’t even charge me. I will be using whipple every time!

I had a water main break. Whipple was prompt to have someone come out to give me a bid. They worked with the city to orchestrate a new meter and water line installation. Whipple had the line finished in two days including the day they came to bid. Fantastic and fast 10/10. Ogden city was another story (2/10).

On-time, fast, professional. But one pays a little higher price for the service quality and warranty. I'd recommend them.

Saw a commercial which was slightly misleading saying the toilets were $299 installed, it showed soft close lids but no disclaimers saying they weren't included in the $299 price. Found out when I called that it did not include those (they are $180+ per toilet). The nice girl I spoke to said she would have someone call me about seeing if they could do some kind of deal with those. She called me back same day and said she got it approved to include those since we were doing 4 toilets. The day of our appt., Jacob did a great job installing the 4 toilets. Was super friendly and worked fast. However, when it came time to pay for the toilets, Jacob informed me that they had changed their mind about including the soft close lids on all 4 and wanted me to pay for one of them for $180+. I agreed, but certainly felt duped, bait and switched, whatever you want to call it. It would have been nice if they had done this BEFORE they installed all 4 toilets. They agreed BEFORE the appt. to give us 4 soft close lids included, then backed out on this. I guess it shows they are not a company of their word and love to have misleading advertisements. Update: One of our toilet seats broke. They did come out and replace it. Also, they did refund the charge for one soft close seat back to our card. I updated this to a 4 star from a 3 star. Not 5 star, because they originally did not stick to their word. But they did resolve it. Thank you!

Royal was terrific. Appreciate Whipple very much. Update Nov 2020: Bill thoroughly cleaned and tested our heating system. As a Club member, I appreciate that this yearly service was included in our monthly fee. He took pictures of each component and explained the efficiency of our system, etc. Great job. I also appreciate Whipple’s adherence to CDC Covid guidelines. I wore my mask and opened windows, too, to “do my part” as well.

Please Read Carefully!!! Do your Research and always get a second quote!! Our HVAC stopped working. Currently in the midst of low pressure making things very low in temperature. House temp was sitting around 50ish degrees in the morning getting up to 60 in the late afternoon. We had Whipple to come and inspect our equipment, they had informed us that the machine had met its life expectancy. The equipment was installed in 2010. After their inspection they told us the machine is no longer working and that they could put a $2000 dollar adhesive cover on and have it, most likely, fail in 2 to 3 years and do this over and over or just bite the bullet and replace the entire system. With "fancy graphs/charts" indicating life expectancy of a HVAC system it had met its end. However, the graph did not say for what model or what kind of equipment. Their advice was to buy new equipment including an air conditioner which they never inspected but were convinced it also need to be replaced. Their ever fast paced "non sales team" quickly jumped in, reassuring us they were not sales people, RED FLAG 1. If someone is presenting you cost they are sales people regardless of what they say. By early next morning and after talking with "the non sales person representive" there was a creation of unnecessary high pressure that made us need to move now because they were ready to go, and install today only at a certain time or it would be a while when they could be back to install. Again temps were cold and we were getting desperate to be warm. The Best part was the new HVAC system can be installed today at the very affordable and low cost of $15,000. RED FLAG, number 2! (If you do any quick google search High End equipment and installation barely meets that number) After talking prices, the "non sales person" calls the boss who is the lead sales manager....odd, very odd. To discuss best offers. After "precision negotiating", the "non sales team" was ready to bring the offer down to $12,00 and because they weren't sales people they threw in a few extra perks, because true sales people never say but wait there is more, if you want to act now. RED FLAG 3. After we told the sales team(clearly at this point we can all agree that they were in fact a sales team), we need to sit on this and think about it and not just jump into this one, a.k.a. making sure we are not getting the rug pulled out from under us. The Non sales person needed to take a picture for their records and numbers they offered. Red Flag D or 4 for those who may be keeping track. If they are offering the same fair price to everyone, why would they need to take a picture of it.....a little odd. We called some family and friends and asked for any recommendations. Surprisingly, Whipple was more disliked than what they lead on. In an hour, we had the wonderful team at Aire-Flo Heating & Air Conditioning, say, "Wait, what? That does not make sense if your system was installed in 2010 you should be getting at least 10 more years out of it". RED FLAG E or 5 for Whipple! And for the amazing low price of 80 dollars and 30 mins of our time. Our house is getting toasty, as I write this. TL:DR (TL:DR stand for to long did not read the entire thing) Whipple tried to upsell us for a new system of $15K on a no longer working HVAC system. When Aire-Flo Heating & Air Conditioning came in, gave us 10 more years on our HVAC for nothing and replaced one part $80 and only 30 mins and now, we are sitting cozy and warm.

We called for a bid on replacing our 40g water heater with a 50g. The experience was a mixed bag. Cons: scheduling, ridiculous price When I called to schedule they scheduled me for a certain day but wouldn't specify a time (not even a time window). Irritating to have to keep the whole day open for the mystery time. They only give you a time the morning of the appointment, and only if you proactively call to ask. Otherwise you just get a call when they're on the way. When I did call at 8:30AM they estimated "between 12:00 and 4:00, though it might be a little earlier." So basically 4.5 hour window? I can understand like a 2 hour window but 4.5 seems ridiculous to me and again requires me to leave a lot of the day open for a ten minute visit. Once he arrived (at around 12:10 thankfully) the final estimate came out to about $2700. My other estimates have been $1350, $1490, $1700, and $2440. Nothing about their offering was exceptional other than the inflated price. In fact two of the other bids included fixing my toilet as well to sweaten the deal. In my mind the extravagance of the price can only mean that they are ripping people off. Pros: The technician RJ was exceptional. He gave a solid 30 minute warning before coming which was nice and was timely given the warning. I texted him ahead of time to text me when he arrived and speak quietly throughout the visit to let a napping person stay asleep. He was courteous about that and stayed quiet throughout which I really appreciated! He was also very up front about not being about to match our other bids and I appreciated the candor. All in all, 5 stars for RJ and 1 for Whipple. Averages out to 3 starts hence the rating. >>>>> UPDATE <<<<< Down to 1 star. Per the response from the owner, somebody at Whipple called to talk more about why I gave a 3 star rating. They wanted to understand more about my scheduling complaint, so I mostly reiterated what I wrote above, then asked if I had anything to add about the price which I didn't. That was all fine, and the woman I spoke with was very polite and listened to my feedback rather than try to tell me why I was wrong. HOWEVER, shortly after the call I got an email from them. Here's an excerpt: "Thank you for taking my call today. I appreciate you talking me through how the initial appointment setting left you frustrated as you planned your Saturday with your family. Your insight is helpful feedback indeed. "You mentioned that you received bids from five other companies. I would love to see those bids, as you spoke of us being substantially higher. If you have the estimates in writing, and you are willing to send them to me, as well as take down your review, I would like to offer you 50.00 on trade." Wow. So now we know the overall google star rating is wrong because they've bribed away some of the negative reviews. Not only does that feel dishonest to me since it hides the horror stories but it seems kind of lame. Like their offering isn't enough to merit super high ratings, so they pay people to boost their rating? Also, this doesn't really address the issue. If they wanted to see the bids so they could make a better offer then I could appreciate that as an attempt to earn my business. That's not what they wanted though. They wanted to "trade" me $50 for info about their competitors and a better rating on google. Whipple as a company continues to impress me less and less. I've now gone from deciding never to use Whipple to deciding to warn people against them since apparently we can't trust what we read about them online. Sorry Whipple. I will not be taking this down.

Jake did a fantastic job. I just bought a place and my toilet was installed in 1984 and had a plethora of issues. Due to the builder's negligence, the drain for the toilet was 9" from the wall instead of 12" like the standard, and that made it so the generic toilet started leaking. Jake promptly explained the issue to me. Afterwards, he traveled out of his way to get something that would fit and took care of it. He was a very competent, kind, and capable representative and I will definitely use Whipple (and request him) again. Thanks Jake!

Whipple was very professional. They confirmed the appointment and in the morning called and let me know exactly when the technician would be arriving. Then they sent me a text message with his name and photo and a short bio. It was very reassuring. Nick was very professional, efficient and made sure to keep my cats in. He took every procaution for COVID and left my bathroom clean. Because of this experience I decided to join the club and try Whipple for all my HVAC, plumbing, and electrical needs. So I have continued to use Whipple they replaced my water heater after it split up the back and was leaking. The installer was amazing and even cleaned up old pipes left behind from a water softener that was previously removed and an old gas line that was no longer being used. He also took the time to see and show me where my shut off valve was located for just my condo. He didn't take the easy way by using the shutoff for the whole building. He was so professional and knowledgeable. My latest AC maintenance was again a reason why I use Whipple. The Contractor was professional, knowledge, and efficient. He communicated exactly what I needed to do to help him and answered all of my questions even the ones not applicable to my job. He did it with a smile. Thank you for taking the time to help me with my questions about my specific AC unit and my complex.

Nick & Frank came out. They were great! Nick used the auger with a camera and found 3 tree roots growing into the pipe. Also they determined how long our pipe was until it met the man hole in street (165’). I took the Toliet off to save money and time (we don’t have a clean out and our piping is in concrete in the foundation-home was built in the 50’s). Nick replaced the wax rings and bolts for free. Frank quoted 3 different options. He didn’t pressure us to do any of them, but throughly explained what each was. They also wore booties on their shoes and took them off & on each time they went outside. They were both courteous and professional. I’d highly recommend this company.

HORRIBLE service, not the company they use to be. I have used them several times over the past 6 years . At first, they were good, expensive but good. But the past 3 years, every time I make an appointment, they call to reschedule. I had my last appointment for 5 weeks, then they call because they had some emergencies. I get that it might happen and I was the unlucky one. But then on my replacement appointment I get called AGAIN to reschedule and I have to wait another week. I asked if they could bump someone else since I've already been bumped, but no, I would have to wait another week just because I live down south(Lindon) and they don't have time. I thought that was the reason I made an appointment!!!! This happened a year before while trying to get my AC tuned up, they rescheduled my appointment 3 times. Eventually I cancelled because the summer was over. The technicians are great and professional, but their customer service people are HORRIBLE and don't care one bit. HA, now they say they can't find me in their system. Well, I've spend more than 10K at your company, with 2 addresses so I know I'm in your system. Just goes to show how this company is going down hill.

Whipple cannot be trusted. They were at home our home THREE times over a span of three days to fix a furnace that was blowing cold air. They were supposed to be out for the second time on the second day, but the tech did not bother to show up - leaving us with no heat overnight, when the temps dipped below freezing. We've paid them hundreds of dollars to fix a furnace that is still not working. We spoke to a manger, Lester, who apologized, promised he would reimburse us for what we have already paid, and assured us they would send another (and more senior and experienced) technician to our home to assess and finally fix the problem. That technician provided a temporary fix, as the furnace went out again the following day. That same day (Saturday), James who claimed to be the area supervisor, came to our home and did nothing to repair the furnace. Instead, he gave us a sales pitch. He tried to sell us on their monthly upkeep program and told us that we needed to spend $15k to $20k on a whole new heating AND air system. Do not use Whipple. Their technicians are not knowledgeable, their management team is not honest, and they will try to bilk you out of tens of thousands of dollars. *UPDATE* And in reply to the owner's response: I will not call you or email you so that you can "address" the issue. You were given multiple opportunities and every time, you bungled the response and then told me that I would pay between $15k and $20k for an entire heating and air system. Instead, we contacted Oy Boy and they actually listened to our needs. We paid A THIRD of your lowest quote, Whipple. We will never use your company or refer friends or family your way.
