We went to celebrate my sisters graduation, there was 11 of us and the restaurant was very busy, despite this the food and service were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, we had taken a cake and the staff were very accommodating providing us with a knife and plates. This wasn't my first visit, but for some of our party it was. We will all be returning.

I wasn't sure how to go about reviewing Il Bistro. I was considering removing a star from all of my past reviews to boost the value of 5 stars. Then my girlfriend pointed out I should just say this.
The manager was lovely, welcoming, helpful and good to talk to - especially considering we came in annoyingly late. My food was good and the wine was fantastic. Without any doubt, I'll be coming here again.

Should of know as soon as I sat down. Handed a very scruffy menu. The cultrey was the poorest and cheapest you can buy. I really wished I would of got up then and left. Dinner arrived fried fish in wet soggy batter. Fish casserole yuck ( only way I can describe it) . The staff were lovely how can you apologies for the rubbish the chef serves.

Nice evening, wine over priced, the food was priced well and nice, but on that not you order you steak, for example, which was Excellent, then just to mention, you order everything else extra as a side order, which l do get but its obviously where the profit margins are if you like, chips, mushrooms and tomatoes, that's not to say l wouldn't go back because food and service was very good. Service is added to the bill

Very nice food at very reasonable prices, they accept gourmet society cards on their set menu and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go again if I'm ever in Brighton. Good range of Mediterranean and continental food, and would definitely recommend their gambas al pil pil.

Lousy service and poor food. Waiter gave sacarstic remarks to us just because we did not order as many meals as the number of people we had. Extremely inappropriate and the food was barely passable. Would definitely not reccomend.

We went there last night- the food is ok but the portions are small and they will charge you for everything separate.Overpriced for what you get. Service is average and very naughty to add service charge to your bill if you are not really happy. I wouldn’t go back there and I advise others to AVOID as well
