Don't use this provider. I got to 100,000 daily visitors and got suspended due to too much traffic. They suspended me even after I was enquiring about dedicated servers or any other higher power server. Thanks... thats what I call lack of support. I lost over 24 hours of hosting time, my visitors saw a suspended page and I am still rebuilding trust with my members, and got no compensation from them. I have since moved to a much better hosting provider

They are pretty good, but I had to contact them recently about a completely incomprehensible tech message I was getting relating to my websites, which it turned out was nothing to worry about but certainly scared me unnecessarily, and gave them unnecessary work to do.

Most important: I can't remember any downtime. When I do have a problem I get email responses really quickly. If I'm not sure, people advise and assist where necessary. I was a customer of the Open Mind hosting service, which was taken over by Hosting UK; the only downside that I can see is that the new packages are more expensive, but I think to be fair that the prices are in line with the other better quality services. I recommend them. (My sites include Vorpress and Careersteer.)

Have to say by far the best support I can remember from any host company; patient, knowledgable and problem (due to colleague/not host) fixed quickly. Much appreciated.

Be warned to do not use this firm you will almost certainly regret it! This firm is horrendous I can’t begin to convey just how awful their service is. Since they took over United, it has got really bad, constant outages on a daily if not hourly basis. They then told us our site would have to go offline for 3 hours whilst they moved it to another more stable server (without our agreement), only for the new server to be worse that the old one! This company is not in the business of creating as much uptime for your website as they can (and should), they are in the business of creating as much downtime as they possibly can, and go out of their way to do it! When you complain and raise tickets nothing happens and nothing ever gets resolved, no refunds are ever offered. It’s no wonder this firm recently sent out an email asking customers not the abuse their staff, because I can imagine how much abuse they must get because of the incredibly appalling service. We gave up and moved our website elsewhere and I have to say it was a massive improvement. The site is not only up 100% it is also massively faster and we have even seen a significant increase with time on page and various other stats, all overnight changes simply from leaving this terrible hosting provider. By far and away the very worse hosting firm I have ever had the misfortune of using, and we will now be collating a claim against this firm for the losses we have certainly suffered at their hands from so much downtime. Win or lose it will be great to get them into court and see what explanation they can give to a judge.

HostingUK took over United Hosting. I had reseller account with UH for nearly 20 years. At first I was a bit apprehensive of the takeover as UH were excellent, both up-time and customer service. I had my sites migrated to HostingUK servers and the process was carried out by Ellie, who was excellent. The whole thing ran smoothly and response times to the ticket raised was first class. Now my websites and email accounts are much more responsive because of their excellent hardware. I have no hesitation recommending HostingUK to anyone. Competitive pricing and excellent customer service.

Appalling company. Truly awful service since this company bought the webhost I was with. They moved my account from one server to another and completely botched the move - and weren't even sorry for a full week of downtime and messing about with their failed attempts to fix the mess they created. My sites and account was left not functioning properly, with frequent errors, data was going missing, settings had not been moved over and the server was failing to read or write to files. Support was shockingly bad from this company - over the period of a full week they kept claiming they had fixed the issues, but far from it, they created more problems with their 'fixes' than existed before. They kept closing the case on their ticketing system without fixing the issues and it was passed from person to person. No one at Hosting UK took responsibility, management were utterly ignorant and rude. In the end I had to move host because they showed such embarassing incompetence and remained clueless on how to resolve all the problems their own support team had created. Shambolic service.

Not Impressed. Its never their fault when there's a problem. We had an email giving us 7 days to pay the domain registration renewal fee. The fee was paid the same day but the domain taken down leaving us with no website and non-functioning email. All attempts to get it sorted have been met with excuses.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE - AVOID!! I have had the most horrific and stressful experience with this group company. I signed up to a cPanel Managed Hosting package with HostingUK (EasySpace Ltd) and they offer a “30 Day Money Back Guarantee” which excludes packages from the “Dedicated Services” and “VPS” tabs which is fine, my package was from the “cPanel Hosting” tab. Their team were unable to assist me with the data transfer from my old host and a 3rd party I paid also said data loss was inevitable - nobody could help me move 25Gb of critical data. So I exercised my right to the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and asked to cancel my services as I had no alternative but to stay with my current host. These guys ignored my cancellation email and continued to charge me.. when I pulled them up on this, the advisor (Peter J.) told me he didn’t get any email from me, so I forwarded it to him and he said oh well he would have to pass it to accounts and let them decide in a few days - I heard nothing back from these guys after that.. not that I was surprised. The following month I got another invoice from them and noticed more debits from my account.. when I contacted them again, Peter changed his tune and was oblivious to any cancellation request and said I will continue to be charged. It’s not even a direct debit that I can cancel, they kept my card details on file and will continue to charge me each month. When i claimed a chargeback with my bank they threatened court action and said regardless of whether I use their services or NOT… they expect me to pay for the FULL TWO YEARS of service even though I cannot use it. I have tried countless times to reason with them, offered them to keep what they’ve taken and just cancel my service and so fourth but they’ve come back with no settlement, no solution, nothing.. quite bluntly pay up or expect court action. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.. there are so many genuinely good hosting companies out there that I have spoken to before, I’ve been in the industry for 15 years now and this is the FIRST COMPANY I have ever found to act in such way and hold someone to such a contract. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life… AVOID THESE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
