I visited here with a friend, it was early morning and had not booked a table but they where able to find us one. The breakfast we had was really delicious and I felt it was very reasonably priced. The staff are really friendly too. It did get very busy and it took us 40 minutes to pay once we had been given the bill. We where not in a rush so it did not matter to us. I will definitely go again.

Wonderful and friendly staff, with a lovely vibe to the restaurant! Good range of food and drinks options too. However, we were thoroughly disappointed with the food - good presentation, but the standard of food was not what we were expecting. We came for lunch on a Saturday, so understandably the wait for food will be longer, but it should not have taken 1+ hours. On the other hand, we hope that this was a fluke, as Goodliffe’s has been recommended highly by friends, and if we were to come on a less busy day, our experience might have been better.

Just been here for a 3 course lunch and it was super tasty! Staff were customer focused and served with a smile. You can tell that some serious thought and great ingredients have been used in the dishes we had. Well done!

Beautiful meal. Service not that great you literally have to shout a waiting person down. Social distance was observed no walk in so your t and t details taken at booking. The place has a beautiful shabby chic look and lots of light. Those less mobile do not attempt the stairs as my 72 old step dad tried there is a down stairs loo. Enjoy the food is excellent.

Goodliffes is my go to whenever I’m at Churchgate. Especially after my shopping spree / spa appointments . Usually end my day with the rump steak and some coke. The steak is usually very tender and nice and I usually love it medium rare. I love it here and the ambience is great too. Highly recommend .

Found it difficult to find but food was very good, if a little cold in places. Dessert was scrumptious and wine very palatable. Light clean, modern decor. Service a little slow.

Went for a leisurely lunch with my mum, as this always seems like a nice, more refined place to visit. However, the service was extremely slow, and my mum's halloumi wasn't even grilled. Wouldn't normally be a problem however, it was advertised as being! My meal was fine, but nothing to rave about and we probably wouldn't return

Nice place, good food/drink options. Service was excellent and polite. Lovely for a short stay on the sofas too. Price is reasonable. We found that the music was a bit too loud unfortunately. All in all a great place for a meal at any time of day.

2nd time visiting here, the first was for cocktails one evening a few months ago, this time it was for breakfast. I had the veggie mediterrean breakfast and it was delicious, my friend had the eggs benedict which if I hadn't got my breakfast I'd definitely have had food envy over. Staff always really lovely and friendly. When we went for cocktails, we just said which spirit and what type of flavour we liked and asked the barman to surprise us, he didn't disappoint!
Lovely relaxed atmosphere both times, I really enjoy coming here.

Courteous staff, great athomosphere, but the sourdough toast was almost in edible. Please just toast it so that a knife can get through it rather than pressing it in a panini grill. Yummy eggs, nice portions

Great looking place, food good (apart from oily vegetarian pasta). Staff attentive but the evening was very sadly marred by a large group celebrating a 40th birthday. We ate and ran! It would have been good to have been alerted to the fact that a large group would be in when we booked. Not sure I'll hurry back.

I really like this place, decent crowd, great ambience here. Good variety of drinks, cocktails and the food is great. Trendy crowd too. It's nice at night time too, it has a different feel to it at night. It's a very modern place but it also has a comfy and cozy atmosphere here too. The people who visit here seem to be nice, and friendly and smiley people. Lovely place

Review 2: 2nd visit after 1 year and I am glad to say the food is still fantastic. We shared the meat tapas and their gourmet burger. The meat tapas was really really nice. The meatballs and the rich sauce were great, the mini kebab skewers were with the pitta bread was different and nice to eat but the chorizo was the showstopper, absolutely bursting with flavour. The burger was cooked through, even though I prefer medium, but it was still very tasty and satisfied our cravings for the day. The lattes were the best I've had in a while too. I found some sort of wood peice in one of the meatballs (turned out it was rosemary stalk) but before this was confirmed they immediately removed the offending dish and notified me they would not charge me for the entire starter. I didn't even need to complain, they handled it so well, very professionally, prompt and with a smile. Incredibly impressed. Will return again one day.
Review 1:I had a great experience here, came here on a Tuesday lunch time, was surprisingly busy. Service was fairly quick, had calamari to share as a starter, a little oily...but tasty and the dip was super tasty, olives were very very tasty too highly recommend those. I had the rump steak cooked medium rare, had a light char on the outer edges, the mushrooms and tomatoes complimented it very well, the waitress recommended me the garlic butter, and it worked amazingly well. Abit pricey at £45 for a starter, side, 2 mains and 2 beers...but it was really nice and I would go again.

This is the all round winner in Loughborough, never been disappointed for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a fantastic back-bar with a wide variety of options. The kitchen is amazingly quick, doesn't matter how many people are there, the food never takes too long to come out, and the eggs are always perfectly poached :P
