I bought few items from Choosing Keeping...nostalgia, perhaps... the items arrived exactly as expected, fantastically packaged and an absolute delight to the eyes and, in my case, to the hearth... The refill for my 45 years old Ballograf was exactly as the one I had in it, and the new Ballograf, bought as a gift for my wife (she gave me my ballograf...!) was identical to my original. I am absolutely delighted with Choosing Keeping and yes, from now on, I will use them for any good purchasing of pens... they knows their stuff...!

Such a treat to buy from this store.... So many beautiful stationary products- hard to decide what to buy first! Site was very easy to navigate and buying internationally wasn't a problem... package arrived beautifully packaged - felt like Christmas ... so many beautiful gold stickers and handwritten ink writing- these guys know what they are doing!

Absolutely terrible service. I went to buy some stationery but the staff is so rude and snobbish I couldn’t believe it. The lady forgot to pack up some of the items I payed for and I had to return to get them. After that she didn’t even really apologize...

A lovely website and some fantastic packaging for Choosing Keeping. However I ordered online and my order was missing things. That the things from my list should be put into my parcel had obviously escaped the person who had been tasked with packing my order.
Having the things that you order actually arriving is pretty much the minimum I expect from internet shopping so i'll probably have a look elsewhere next time.
Overall more form over function here I think.

Choosing keeping is a rare find nowadays. All the wonderful products sold have clearly been chosen with thought and care. The staff clearly knew what they were talking about and they helped me choose a wonderful fountain pen for my 18th birthday. I ordered online and for the most part was pleased with the process. With one exception. I ordered two of the same item to give as separate gifts, one in gold, one in silver, and asked for them to be giftwrapped. The giftwrapping was nice except they were both wrapped in the same design and colour of paper so I had open one of them to find out which contained which colour item - kind of defeats the object of getting them gift wrapped. Apart from this small ,but significant, to me, niggle I was delighted with my purchases and would happily recommend.

What a paradise for those of us who still cherish paper and pen. A bonanza of fountain pens, inks, notebooks with the finest paper, washi tape, etc. I love my Kaweco Sport fountain pen I bought here and will definitely be back when I need more ink cartridges and paper. I'd say avoid on a Sunday if possible because it gets super busy from the flower market, you'll want to have the time and space to mull over all the beautiful things in here.

By a mile my favourite shop in London. If you want unusual stationery, unusual pens & pencils, unusually attentive and intelligent service then it is the shop for you. If you aren't serious about where your stationery, notebooks or pens and pencils come from - just stick to Paperchase, this isn't the place for you. Also, although it is one of the most beautifully laid out and decorated shops I have ever seen, take a photograph without asking permission at your peril.

Care, attention to detail and outstanding service, and some of the best quality stationery tools available anywhere. Like all the best places - Savile Row, Asprey and so on - you feel that you are being well looked after, not something I come across very often but something I seek when shopping. This is a business to cherish. For example I have recently bought a Hand Held Pastel Blue Zenith 6/4 Plier Stapler hand-produced in Italy, and you can see and feel the quality. Also, a Desktop Grey Single Tape Dispenser which is beautifully weighty. A solid piece of kit that any self-respecting stationery buff should own. But the fact is that this is an exceptional business where you feel that you are being listened to and catered for as a fellow human being. Items come individually hand-wrapped in Japanese paper and when the parcel arrives in the post it is exciting and very much like a box full of birthday or Xmas presents. I could go on...but see for yourself.
