I happened upon Choosing Keeping on my quest for pewter seals for sealing my letters off and they honestly went above and beyond. I sent an email asking to be notified when the seals would be restocked and several after that inquiring about my package and each time, the reply was prompt and extremely helpful. The items themselves were beautifully packaged and I am so so excited to use them. There's a special quality of care this shop provides and I'm proud to say that I'll definitely be a repeat customer!!! I highly recommend buying from them and supporting small businesses!!! Ordering online from Choosing Keeping and receiving their beautifully luxurious stationery items was a great pleasure. The wrapping of the items and even the decoration on the outer parcel, was made with love and dedication, so that even the employees from the post office, where I picked it up, were admiring the look of the parcel. What an amazing accidental discovery! Just happened to be looking for a place to sit down for a few seconds, and this beautiful stationery shop appeared. From the instant you see it, you know it screams quality.
Once inside, there are so many items that you instantly start wondering how you're going to incorporate them into your next project. The selection of Japanese screen printed paper and marbled paper is exceptional. Could've easily spent a ton of money in here, but was very restrained and only came away with a few pens and pencils. Such a special place!

A lot of their stock comes from small manufacturers using traditional techniques and is both beautiful and highly functional.

I recently bought three leather card holders, in Royal blue, Green and Red, as a collector of these items, as I found them to be beautifully understated and very luxurious when visited the website.
The cards arrived yesterday in the mail. The attention to detail and thought put into the whole packing process can only be lauded. The items were carefully prepared in a sequence of perfectly arranged boxes, envelope, with an extra gracious touch of having a beautiful bird sticker to complete the package. I took great care in opening it and reaching the items, which itself was a pleasure to do, appreciating the manner in which everything was done. The card holders are simply stunning, each with a beautiful gloss finish that complements the colors in a very tasteful manner. I will be very pleased to show them around, now they have been dully put to work.
These were definitely not the only ones I will purchase, as they are perfect presents to give.

I love how Choosing Keeping curates the products that they sell. It just goes to show how much care and time they put on their brand as an art store. I'd like to think that I was more convinced that what they were selling were worth it. I ordered a watercolor pad and a pan of the Zecchi Lapis Lazuli watercolor and it didn't take that much time for it to be delivered, even if I live in the Philippines. They were so quick to update me with my orders, not to mention how easy it was to track my parcel. I love how they were neatly packed in this beautiful wrapping paper. It really made purchasing from them a really great experience and a treat to myself. I will definitely buy from their store again. I'm already excited for my next purchase!

I've been a regular customer with Choosing Keeping when their shop was at Colombia road. I was a bit taken aback by the customer service I received at this new location. I was told that no photos were allowed and when I asked in their old location it was never a problem. It is a shame as I live near Colombia road and travelled out of my way to visit my favourite stationers. They have beautiful imported stationery from Japan and their new location allows them to stock more products but after feeling so unwelcomed I don't think I will be returning.

Most recently I bought a fountain pen, exquisite note book and stationary. But in past inks and pencils. The products are always materially a beautiful quality to use.
The care taken by the staff to ensure I had to right choices in book covering and the attention to detail wrapping and sending made the whole process during this sad and uncertain time special and lifted my spirits.

I had hoped to visit this astonishing little business, between Leicester Square and Covent Garden, in late March, but the UK lock-down prevented travel. Fortunately they remain open for mail-order and a delivery duly arrived promptly. Helpful staff, fabulous location, completely unique product lines seemingly untouched by globalisation or mass production. What more can I say - ten stars.

I was on holiday and I always look for a great place to purchase a fountain pen. I went to a couple stores and the the search ended at Choosing Keeping! I started a conversation with the staff about getting a fountain pen, then the owner Julia identified my excitement to get a really nice fountain. She spend an hour with me and it was one of the best experiences buying I have had! I bought a bunch of stuff , but the pen I purchased was an all black matte Pilot capless vanishing point, medium.
Excellent store! Great staff! If you are a fountain pen nerd....as for Julia!

Nice pencils. Unfortunately they were priced incorrectly and I was charged more at the till. The person serving me reluctantly charged me the amount they were advertised as but not before guilt tripping me by saying they would get in trouble with management. I was then told they had a minimum spend on cards. I get the sense only value customers willing to pay a lot of money. There are certainly nicer, friendly and better run stationary shops out there.
